restlessdriver said:Your testosterone looks great, which pretty much means this isn't a hormone thing. FSH and LH levels swing all over the place daily, so I wouldn't sweat those. An LH of 3 is fine, and FSH is too. Most actual hormonal issues pop up when LH and FSH are sky-high (like over 30-40 for FSH😵), while the testosterone response stays crappy.

The fact that your testosterone is relatively high suggests there’s no reason for your LH or FSH to be elevated. Maybe try focusing on exercise and what you're eating—that should hopefully help. Cut out the refined oils, maybe eat less bread and other carbs, and swap them for more healthy fats.

Personally, I'm dealing with some serious testosterone issues. My last reading was 6 nmol/L, and my doctor keeps insisting I'm within the normal range, even though the scale goes up to 24. It's annoying because she won't even listen to any of the symptoms I'm having.

Thanks so much for the reply, seriously, you've calmed me down a bit... I really hope you find a fix for your own stuff too. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of symptoms are you dealing with? You can just shoot me a DM if that's easier...
James Booth9 said:Hey, look, I’m no expert or anything, and honestly, I’m younger than most of you guys and dealt with this exact mess myself, so I guess I know enough to weigh in.
Your testosterone is freaking great—seriously, some guys would kill for those numbers. You’re lucky. Don't sweat the LH thing; having it low isn't the issue. It’s actually worse when it’s high, because then your body is basically screaming at itself to produce more hormones since they aren't being made.
The real red flag here is the FSH. How much fat are you even eating? You need to load up on eggs, cholesterol, red meat... just go for it. Also, you gotta get on some Omega-3 supplements. You can grab them for cheap at any CVS or Walgreens; I personally pop four pills every single day.
I actually went through this myself—my testosterone was bottomed out—and I managed to fix things mostly by reading stuff online, digging through forums, and hitting the supplements hard (zinc, omega-3, flaxseed oil, Vitamin D3).
Don't expect much from your doctor, honestly. These guys in our local clinics don't know squat. Whatever they tell you will probably be some generic "you're fine" nonsense, so don't stress too much. It's like when my levels were sitting at 300 and I was only 20 years old.
I've been through the ringer with this, so just try upping your healthy fats and starting the omega-3s for a couple of weeks. That's my advice.

Thanks so much for the detailed breakdown. To be honest, I'm pretty worried because I'm struggling to put on muscle, and I'm getting a lot of flak for it, which definitely isn't my genetics. Plus, my insomnia is brutal. I do eat plenty of fats, like eggs every day... I'll definitely pick up the omega-3s, thanks for the tip. That FSH thing has me a bit sketched out, though; I'm waiting to see what the doc says at the community health center. Anyway, thanks a ton. Is it cool if I shoot you a PM if I have more questions? 😛
Alright, here's the deal, male, 28

Testosterone 28 (8-29)
SHBG 48 (16-55)
FSH 1.68 (1.50-12.4)
LH 3 (1.7-8.6) ?!

Can I get some expert input on this... please? I guess my libido is pretty much non-existent right now and I've dropped maybe 10 pounds of muscle over the last 6 months...

Those Americans in the last attack hit the post on a 9-on-10 breakaway... man, I guess at least they played it with some sportsmanship...

😂🤣

That's what I'm telling you 😉

man, Karla is swimming 16 miles, so just expect a solid result 😛
I mean, I think Karla Šitić deserves some credit here... She finished 17th out of 50 swimmers who actually completed the race at 6.2 miles.... Honestly, she might be the only bright spot left in our swimming scene...

Honestly, after reading this article, I’m basically just echoing what you said. Looking at the stats those two guys put up, it’s no wonder they need someone who can actually swim instead of just flailing around wildly for them. 😁

And Dinka? Total embarrassment. 👎

I don't even get why they're trying to qualify for the SP. They were dead last and second to last at the European championships anyway. 🤷 🤣
Daniel Cooper40 said:Scandal in Cleveland: They were hitting and dunking Joseph Culin, and once they took his glasses off, he basically had to call it quits!

The American swimming federation website is where you can find all the interesting stuff about our swimmers' performances and see who actually hit their qualifying standards for the World Aquatics Championships.

BTW, there'll probably be a separate thread for water polo later, but since we still have some time before things kick off, let's just keep everything here for now, I guess.

I honestly don't get why Dinko needs to do this... 🤷 Especially if it's just to deal with those Soldo brothers, who—let's be real—are absolute nobodies... I mean, even little Karla Šitić beats them regularly... 🤣

Look, can we just chill for a second? Honestly, both soccer and hockey are just wasting everyone's time at this point...
I mean, I really hope ST starts giving some actual love to the other sports that aren't constantly hogging the spotlight

come on, get up 😠

if he’d been playing against the Danes, he probably would've made more saves...
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like Sunjić should’ve actually made this roster? 😛

Honestly, I can't stand this national team lately... from the front office down to the coach and even some of those players who are clearly being forced into the spotlight... The only guys I still respect are the old guard—Ivan, Lac, and Vori... maybe even Štrlek among the newer crowd 👍
I have zero clue how I'm supposed to root for them tomorrow against those underdogs who are actually likable... I mean, I’d probably pull for Argentina if I thought some people might actually step up and do their jobs, but yeah, probably not happening... We’ll likely just end up finishing 5th or 6th. 😢

Nah, I don't know, Šunjić isn't even better...
dustyridge3 said:I mean, are these guys from Mexico actually that bad, or is the whole situation just completely upside down? I don't even know anymore. Maybe they're just trash, or maybe everything is just broken. Who knows.🤷

They're just bad... honestly.

Man, why don't you just go write an essay for your homework instead: The difference between quality and quantity

I mean, honestly, I don't think that's even where the error lies. Paul Jones7 explained the whole quality versus quantity thing pretty well, but I don't know, I can't bring myself to agree with him. Seems like a totally wrong way to look at sports to me...
By that logic, a country would be considered the absolute best in a specific sport just because they have the largest pool of athletes playing it...
At the end of the day, it all boils down to the few players who actually step onto the field. Those 100,000 other people back in the States playing the same sport? They don't really matter in this context...
Now, someone’s probably gonna jump in and say it’s easier to find top-tier talent when you have a massive base to pull from, which, okay, I guess that's partially true. But still, things like athletic training, infrastructure, facilities, raw talent, and a million other factors are way more important...
Carl Garcia22 said:So, take this tiny town in the Midwest, maybe like 5,000 people, right? The kids from the local Scout academy used to travel all over—like, they were hitting up tournaments in the Czech Republic, Poland, Canada, Germany, and even trips across the US and down to Mexico. Now, those same players are playing in the top tier of their regional league and, honestly, they're killing it, and they're all born in '92. I mean, I guess you'd see the same thing at any other club that actually knows how to organize things properly.

Yeah, that's great... for the American national team, I guess...
