Michael Lee4, how are you even supposed to respond to this crap? 😁
Switching primary care doctors in Health ·
Matthew Fox4 said:Honestly, you just go see the new doc you're eyeing and ask if they'll take you on as a patient 😉, basically seeing if they have an opening or aren't totally slammed. They usually handle all the paperwork on their end; there's really no need to get into it or cause any drama with your old doctor 😁

thanks 👍

Can someone walk me through how to actually switch doctors?

So, I'm moving soon and figured I’d find someone closer to my new place... I don't get sick all that often,
but honestly, my current doctor is driving me up the wall, so that's probably another reason to bail...

How does this even work? Like, can I just go straight to whoever I want like Paul Morales3 suggested, or am I stuck having to go deal with my current doc and deal with the drama first?
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I'm looking for a private immunologist or an infectious disease specialist, preferably someone tied to a clinic where I can get all the tests done right then and there... Doesn't even have to be here in the States, though that would be way easier... 😁
It’s not for me and it's pretty urgent, so let me know if you guys know anyone 😉

So, where can I actually get these tests done without needing a doctor's referral first?

Look, I’ve basically got two diagnoses for you:
1) You’re just plain cranky
2) A mild case of hypochondria, I guess.
Oral sex safety: What are your thoughts? in Health ·
Henry Taylor7 said:can you catch stuff through oral sex (both ways) and what kind of diseases?

look lady, nothing in life is a hundred percent certain. if you're really overthinking it that much, maybe just don't even leave your house, let alone get in a car, because anything could happen to you at any time...

obviously you can catch something, so you gotta weigh the risks, I guess..

It’s about what I mentioned in the title 😁. It basically jumps between different couples—they don't actually know each other or have anything to do with one another—showing everything from that very first date all the way through to the bedroom. I won't spoil too much more, you should definitely check it out

kind of reminds me of that movie "After Sex," if you liked this one maybe check out AS 😉
so what kind of symptoms are we even talking about here?

usually, doctors don't even bother treating it unless that number starts climbing, you know? like, if it's actually showing signs of being active...

the standard move is usually some kind of Extencilin injections

Zachary Mendoza17 said:Hey, if you want grueling workouts, if you're strong (or want to be), if you have mental toughness, and if you want conditioning, come join us for Kyokushin. The training is legitimate and high-quality, and the crew is great—very positive vibes. I also suggest checking out Mr. Ban over at Robin Palmer3, they do excellent work there too. Try a trial session at a few different places; you'll figure it out for yourself. 👍

Oh, so you're the guy, 😁
I guess it would definitely be best to try out a few different spots before committing, though I didn't realize an "old timer" 🤣 like me even had options to choose from, let alone multiple ones.
I'd say I'm pretty strong, I guess, but man, every time I hear those Japanese names like "Kyokushin," all I think about is insane stretching. Ever since I stopped playing sports seriously, I've become about as flexible as a brick. But, to be honest, I'd love to get a workout in, so maybe I'll hit you up after New Year's if that works. 😉 Thanks for getting back to me.

Rebecca Smith4 said:My suggestion would be MMA.
It lets you test out a bit of everything.
I think it's important to get a feel for all aspects of fighting first.
If you enjoy it, great.
If not, maybe you can focus on a specific part, like Muay Thai, wrestling, or BJJ.
Reach out to the user Robin Palmer3.
He runs what is probably the most successful gym in the region.
Everyone I know who has trained there seems very satisfied.
👍

Honestly, I haven't even heard of MMA before this. Did a quick Google search and I guess it actually looks pretty interesting 👍 thanks.

I'll hit up Robin Palmer3 once I know for sure when my schedule clears up 👍

thanks to you guys too for the tips 😉

Hey guys, got a quick question. I'm 22 and I've basically lived in the gym my whole life—I'm pretty strong and coordinated, but honestly, my flexibility is kind of non-existent. 😁 Basically, because of some dumb decisions I made, I stopped doing sports seriously, so now I just hit the weight room to keep my cardio and muscle definition somewhat decent. 😢 I'm slammed with stuff right now, but starting next February, things clear up for me, so I want to start training some kind of combat sport recreationally. So, what would you recommend, and is this even doable? I really want the training to be hardcore—like, the more intense, the better—around 3 to 5 times a week, and I’d prefer something where strength plays a big role alongside technique. 😁 Obviously, I don't have any competitive ambitions or anything, and I've zero experience with martial arts. Also, two big questions: where and how should I go about this?

btw I'm from Chicago 😉

Props to the guys, solid result, though I gotta say it feels like they were playing it safe just so they wouldn't show their full hand before heading to Beijing...

And man, the gap between soccer and every other sport is just depressing...
Like, seriously, our squad is playing in the EU semifinals and nobody’s even talking about it, but if the soccer national team played some friendly against Madagascar, the whole country would be losing its mind over such a huge deal.
It's sad, really. You've got guys who might actually be among the best in the world at such a brutal sport just scraping by, while some guy like Joe Biden from the Great Lakes makes more money playing in some random 17th-tier amateur league 😳

I know this is an OT thread, but I had to get this off my chest because this stuff drives me nuts. And finally, don't let me forget how the US swimming championships got a massive 15 minutes of airtime in some trashy news segment starting at 11 PM. Way to go, everyone...

Jason Campbell70 said:If we're talking about a guy with a standard build at that height, he’d probably be carrying at least twenty pounds more than that.🤷

I don't know, I don't really agree with you there. Personally, I think his weight is pretty much spot on—unless, I guess, the whole point is to bulk up or do bodybuilding stuff...
It's kind of hard to say for sure since we have zero clue what he actually does, what his goals are, or even how those 175ish pounds are distributed...

When you say a "standard build," are you thinking like an athlete or just some regular guy?
