😕 Just checked, there's still a group up, but nobody's been running it for a while now 🤷 http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gi...1859146&v=info

Personally, I’ve always preferred the candles over the sprayers. Lorraine, whenever you go checking out local bakeries, just bring a photo along and ask if they can replicate it.
That was my plan, honestly. I just thought maybe one of you had seen a cake like that at an American wedding and might know more about it.
I spotted this cake on the DT studio pages and I am obsessed—I absolutely love fruit. Does anyone happen to know where I can order one or what kind of filling might be inside? (Click for a larger view.)

It starts at $1,550 for the basics. If you want him to shoot a wedding outside of the studio or need an extra photographer, you're looking at more than that.

Here is my question: what are their mini pastries actually like? For a price point of $18, can we expect anything beyond just dry cookies, or is there some creamy stuff too? Has anyone here tried them?
They made our shortlist because they offer those fruit tables—the setup with 10kg of sliced fruit and a small chocolate fountain is $233, while the one with 15kg of fruit and a large fountain is probably $400... or maybe $467. On top of that, we were thinking about picking up 3-4 kg of mini Napoleon cakes or maybe a few of those little cups filled with jam and cream... It’s just really convenient that they handle everything in one place.
My only real concern is: does everything taste consistent? I noticed they sell little treats at Walmart, so I’m a bit worried they might have a "factory assembly line" vibe where the flavors all taste basically the same.
Does anyone know of any other vendors who offer dessert buffets with fruit? (And I don't mean a full-scale catering service). For another wedding, some people used a Famous local confectioner from a Suburban neighborhood. The price per kg was a bit steep...$37, but honestly, I haven't found anyone who makes a better Canadian cream cake than them. They were delicious... and still great the next day, too. I buy their sweets pretty often, so I know it wasn't just a lucky one-off for that specific wedding 🙂.
I picked up one of their flyers at a trade show that mentions a "mix priced at $18." Honestly, I have no idea if that mix includes creamy treats or just the dry stuff. 🤷 To be fair, they didn't really catch my eye visually.
It’s not too late, but when it comes to booking your band and photographer, you should probably put down a deposit sooner rather than later. They'll likely be booked up at least a year in advance. 😉
I caught the live stream of the hall later on, and honestly, it doesn't hold a candle to the hotels in Savannah or the surrounding areas. It’s definitely more decked out than the old venue, but in my opinion, it still misses the mark. 😁
Here’s a photo if anyone wants to see what I'm talking about:
If you have some free time, definitely scroll through the different threads on this forum because there is a ton of info here. I actually started my own planning process recently, and honestly, I was totally lost at first 🤣
Basically, just remember that neither the photographer nor the band needs to be from San Diego. Everyone travels everywhere these days. It really just comes down to whose style you love and what kind of budget you’re working with. My advice? Secure the restaurant, the band, and the church first. If having the right photos is a huge priority for you, lock in a photographer early, since most people are already booked solid through next November.
Write down some rough numbers for what you think you can spend, then dive into reading the forum. Good luck! 🙂
I don't have an answer for you, but I am absolutely in love with that venue. Honestly, if I lived in San Diego, I'd get married there. 😍
Pre-Krasno.
It might be doable. They have a restaurant up there, plus plenty of space downstairs for a band and dancing. Your best bet is to just give 🙂 a call and ask.
