Wedding cakes and desserts in Weddings ·
I tried their cakes at a wedding expo and they left the exact same impression on me—or more specifically, that’s how they tasted. They're pretty average, though. Honestly, you can find their packaged treats in Walmart if you want to test them out for yourself before making a decision.

Well, if you've checked the seller's feedback and it looks solid—ideally with zero negative reviews—then you should be good to go 🙂

I’ve noticed how much information changes over time, so I wanted to share what my fiancé and I have booked so far for our October 5th, 2013 wedding. Please feel free to jump in with your thoughts or advice—I'd love to know what we should be looking out for if you've heard anything about these lately:
Venue: Honeycomb Hall (that smaller, prettier space that holds up to 200 guests)
Band: The Dice (booked for $1,500)
Photographer: Mladen Photo (we're also using them for our invitations and thank-you cards)
Dress: Found this gorgeous thing near the coast (I know it's early, but I found a dress that is totally "me" on sale for just $433, and now it's just sitting in my closet waiting... 🤣)
Also, has anyone here tried buying wedding favors or little details through eBay? Would love to hear about your experiences...
Sorry if I'm being a bit much! 🙂

I've bought a ton of stuff there, and it's always been great. What specifically are you looking for? 🙂

Do whatever works best for you. 🙂 It’s a holiday, and guests should feel free to come and go as they please, right?

The Phoenixes might be exactly what you're looking for... As for a photographer, what kind of price range are we talking about? What do you guys think?

Simple and gorgeous. Ours was pure white, too 🙂

I was really impressed by the flower shop inside the Tommy Hilfiger near the Walmart in San Jose. I’ve picked up several bouquets there as gifts, and the woman running it is incredibly creative—she can work with just about anything. I buy flowers pretty often and have been to at least 20 different shops, so I definitely know how to judge quality. I'm not sure what her name is or if she handles weddings specifically (though I’d bet she does), but you should totally check her out.

I’m really not a fan. It’s mostly the fabric—it looks "cheap" and honestly just like crinkly paper. Plus, I don't think a cut like that on the top (bare upper arms) works for "curvier" figures. But hey, I don't know what you look like, and obviously, the most important thing is that you love it. Never mind me 😉.

Actually, the dress isn't even that material at all—not what it looked like in the photo. It’s not some stiff, sparkly fabric for grandmas; it’s actually really soft and smooth to the touch. And the shimmer? You only really see it when you get up close. It doesn't have that constant glittery look.

It’s not my first choice either, mostly because of the color. But I think if you throw something over your shoulders—like a cream-colored cardigan or something similar—it would look great. I have a few formal events coming up, so I'm hoping it isn't too pricey just in case I end up never wearing it. 🙂

44/46, so that makes it their 18th. I grabbed 20, so I'll narrow it down. Not sure what the model is yet.

Picked up a dress for a few fancy occasions, just in case 🙂 Dropped from 90 down to 20 bucks 😁

At DiCapri, specifically at Varteks in CC1 over in San Francisco. 🙂
Leg Swelling & Pain: Any advice? in Health ·
So, I finally took some advice from the pharmacist and picked up some horse chestnut gel. It was actually on sale—buy one, get one free—so I grabbed two. I've been keeping mine in the fridge to get that extra cooling sensation, and honestly, I can't tell if it’s the gel working its magic or just the fact that the weather is finally cooling down, but my leg doesn't ache nearly as much.

Check out asos.com under the curve section. They have some dresses there you might actually like.🙂

Plus, I'm hunting for a lightweight jacket for this weird transitional weather we're having...
but without looking like a total grandpa.

I usually wear a size 18 (which I think translates to a 46 or 48), but I find myself grabbing a 48 or 50 in jackets.

Not speaking from experience since I'm actually starting my own hunt, but from what I've seen on Google, Levi's might have some in their Curve line. Not sure if they carry everything from their official US site, but if they do, that's probably the spot. Their site even has this detailed Curve ID quiz that tells you which model or category to look for, depending on things like whether you need more butt coverage or if you're dealing with a tummy overhang, etc.😁

Does anyone know any good "curve" blogs? Ideally ones where the girls aren't wearing super expensive designer stuff.🤔

Around $35 to $45 if I recall correctly 🤔
But it really depends on who's bringing the lamb, plus drinks and dessert aren't included in that price. Best bet is just to head over there and ask.

Hannah Ortiz5 said:Hey everyone 🙂, I’ve been scrolling through half this forum, but there is basically zero info on San Diego. So, here’s the deal: I need recommendations for a florist and a bakery (specifically for a cake). Honestly, they don't strictly have to be based in San Diego, provided the delivery fees aren't so insane that it ends up costing the same anyway...
Also, what do you guys think—is it smarter to buy my own supplies and just drop them off at a local print shop for the actual printing, or should I just hand everything over to a pro and let them handle the whole project from scratch?
Thanks 😉

It’s just us. 😁They were super happy with Andor from Miami, though the florist wasn't quite up to par. You might want to check the search tool within this thread to find some better recommendations. 🙂

Charles Gomez4 said:Has anyone here tried the ASOS Curve line? Are the sizes actually true to size, or do they run small or large? Specifically, would an 18 in pants be our US size 14, or what?

Answering my own question here: 🤣 An 18 is basically a 16. If you're tall, grab the 18L (long) for a perfect fit. I'm about 5'11" and they hit just right. Anyone else tried them?😍

I picked up the exact kind of bra you're looking for at Victoria's Secret—also for a wedding 😍
It's completely smooth and white, plus the straps can be tucked inside, so it looks amazing as a strapless piece.
