I have a massive phobia when it comes to needles and getting blood drawn. It’s not just nerves, either—nothing works. I can try all the positive thinking and lifestyle changes I want, but it doesn't matter. Everything just goes black and I pass out.
The last time I was at the dentist, they were just getting ready to give me an injection when it happened. Even while lying down, I just blacked out. What really freaked me out was what my dentist told me afterward. She said that for people with this kind of reaction, every subsequent episode tends to get worse. She even warned me that it could lead to oxygen deprivation in the brain, which can cause lasting damage.😲
Is there actually any way to fix this?
So, my mail carrier was supposed to drop off a certified letter yesterday—the kind where you actually need to sign for it because it’s got a return receipt attached (official paperwork from my company). Instead of doing his job, he just ripped the receipt right off and tossed the envelope at my door. It had been pouring rain all day, so you can imagine what that envelope looked like by the time I finally walked through the front door. Honestly, the sheer laziness and disrespect from these people is just unreal...

Your best bet is to just call up all the carriers one by one—get HP, FedEx, UPS, FedEx, and the Democratic Party on the line—and actually compare their quotes side-by-side.

Everything you need to know is right there on Post Office forums.😉
I hope you got that skin situation sorted out, but if not, you might want to look into using some Johnson & Johnson moisturizer. Honestly, just go ask someone at a CVS 🙂
urbanbear54 said:Thanks for the input... I went to see a dermatologist, and honestly, they just tried to upsell me on a mountain of expensive creams. They even handed me this handwritten list of whatever they think is "best"... I might give that thermal water a shot; there's really nothing to lose at this point. As for those screenings, which pharmacies actually carry them? Specifically, does anyone know if they're available in New York City?
My advice? Go read the threads over on the Cosmetics subforum. Plenty of women deal with facial redness and have shared what actually works. You’ll likely find a better cream there before you go dropping cash on whatever he prescribed. It's a classic move—doctors get handed stacks of flyers for brands like Johnson & Johnson, and then they steer their patients toward those specific products because apparently, they're the only things that "work."🙄.
Thermal water is pretty much a catch-all. Use it to soothe redness, rashes, or even after shaving or if you've got irritated skin. It's basically a liquid band-aid. 🙂 They come in small, medium, and large bottles.
The screenings happen at certain pharmacies on specific days. Your best bet is to hit up a few local spots near you and ask when the next session is scheduled or if they know of any nearby locations. Usually, they rotate through different pharmacies once a month. Good luck! 😉
Maybe try picking up some Avene thermal water at a CVS or Walgreens first. Just misting your face with it before you slap on your moisturizer might help take the edge off that redness.

I swear, I was ready to lose my mind right then and there!
😲😲😲
The smallest envelope is usually a $0.33 or a $0.50 (since some USPS branches don't carry the extra-small ones and just call the next size up "the smallest"), but the second she refused to hand over a receipt, you knew exactly what was happening. It goes without saying that she’s breaking the law. 👎
http://www.usps.com/ship/matrix.htm#Check out this link—it’s got a shipping calculator where you can play around with different options. Mess with the numbers a bit to see which one actually comes out cheapest for you. 😉

I check my mailbox this morning, and what do I find? The package has been ripped wide open. It’s been tampered with, unpacked, and the original shipping envelope is just gone. Nothing. 😲 And don't even get me started on the fact that items I actually paid for are missing. 👎 Honestly, I'm speechless. It's pathetic. 😢 I have never dealt with such a complete disaster from the mail service in my entire life. A total train wreck. 👎 ,.-
😲😲😲
I know they can be sloppy and rude, and sometimes they overcharge you—like one time at the post office, $6.00 they billed me more than expected and I didn't even realize it until I saw the receipt—but this... 😕
I’ve been scouring the forums looking for something similar, but if I missed it, moderators feel free to merge this 😉
Lately, my skin has felt way toosensitive—to the point where I’m starting to panic 😢 For instance, I leaned against the corner of my bed frame in my apartment, just a tiny bit harder than usual, and now I’ve got a painful bruise. Then yesterday, I was carrying something stupidly light, maybe less than a pound, and when I had to unlock the door, I braced it against my arm and ended up with quite a show... red marks on my upper arm for half the day, looking like someone slapped me hard enough to leave a sunburn 😢 On top of that, I’m feeling bloated and short of breath...
Is anyone else dealing with this, or does anyone have a clue what might be going on?
Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! 😍
It’s someone’s birthday, so I’m definitely throwing a card in there too. 🙂
I've been scrolling through this thread, and I haven't seen anyone bring up this specific "issue" before.😁
I’m looking to mail something to North Mexico. It weighs less than half a pound, so it should go out as a standard lightweight letter in one of those yellow bubble mailers. According to the USPS calculator, the whole thing—including tax—comes out to $22, which isn't bad at all.
My main worry, though, is that the person receiving it might get hit with some random customs fee or whatever nonsense they decide to charge. If that happens, I’d feel like a total jerk.😠
Has anyone actually dealt with this before?
By the way, I'm definitely not sending it via a Greyhound bus; that's basically just playing the lottery.😂
So, a government scholarship?
If I’m currently studying under the Department of Defense's funding and pulling a state scholarship (under the old system), would I be eligible to apply for another one if I enrolled in a different, related major? I’m talking about qualifying based on entrance exams, obviously.
😕
