Is anyone currently heading up to the Bioptron for some salad therapy? How’s the scene looking up there—is it getting crowded? 🥳

Michael Ramos3 said:Well, look at that.

It seems I share something in common with the rest of the community...

They also suggest scrolling back through the old threads.

A true miracle, really...

Life is beautiful when you have faith in God...

🙂

I’d suggest listening to those actually living with psoriasis rather than the salespeople... 😍

copperskipper38 said:Hi everyone. I have psoriasis too, and I started using Dermacel cream. I’ve noticed it helps with the itching, but the actual condition isn't changing at all. I was wondering if there might be a better cream out there? (I tried Naturavit as well, but the results were pretty weak)

Maybe take a look through the last few pages of this thread...😉

Sarah Sanchez52 said:I visited my dermatologist today and was diagnosed with scalp psoriasis. Since I've spent 20 years dealing with eczema issues that affected my daughter, I've read quite a bit about both conditions. Dr. Višnjić has been a huge help to her, and I know he's been mentioned on this forum before. My doctor recommended using CLOBEX shampoo. I tried looking up more details online, but everything is in English and my proficiency isn't quite there yet. Has anyone here used this shampoo, and what were your experiences?

Hello,👍

I did a little digging online, and it looks like CLOBEX is actually quite a risky product...😲
The FDA is currently considering pulling it from the market because using CLOBEX for just two weeks can cause issues with certain glands...👎
There isn't much information available in American, so here is the link in English...

Personally, I wouldn't take the chance with this one...😲 😲

Michelle Parker3 said:it looks incredible after use; this seems like a heavy hitter, especially if psoriasis starts giving in🤣
i don't know, maybe I'm just being irrational... feel free to correct me if I'm wrong😁

It might be powerful enough to strip away everything, including the fine hair. Poor little toes
😁

Otherwise, flaxseed oil capsules are essentially the same as fish oil capsules. They both provide omega-3 fatty acids. You can get those from food, but since I rarely eat fish, taking them in capsule form seems convenient😉

Here are a few links:

But there is plenty more out there... just search Google😉

I’m just a woman dealing with reality here—I use an epilator on my legs, and I end up shaving right over my psoriasis without paying much attention to it. Don't judge too harshly; mine doesn't look nearly as bad as some of the cases out there... at least not yet 🙄. The thing is, every single time I do this, the flare-up recedes for about two or three weeks 😕. It has happened consistently for the last year since I noticed the pattern... is there a logical explanation for this, or am I just losing my mind trying to get rid of it?

I haven't the slightest clue, but it sounds like a dream 😍
It's a shame that using that device is so painful for me; I usually end up in tears by the time I'm finished🤷

Michael Ramos3 said:This forum is losing its purpose. It’s turning into an endless loop of debates over hand creams, omega-3 supplements, and olive or St. John's Wort oils—though I suppose some people find their entire sense of purpose in those things...

Well, by all means, go ahead. If we're such a nuisance to you, feel free to leave...🤣

The only one actually causing trouble here is you. You don't even have psoriasis, you're just trying to sell things, and there's such a level of malice in your posts that it's honestly unsettling...

How do you feel looking down on our struggle, where everything seems to hinge on finding the right moisturizer?🙏 Honestly, I'd rather give a hundred bucks away for a nice-smelling cream than spend a cent supporting you...😍
Could it be E. coli?

jadesailor14 said:Maybe you should try some black cumin oil capsules? 🤣
I bought three packs, but I just can't seem to get myself started...

I've actually started drinking nettle tea🤣

We'll see how long it keeps me going. 🤣I'll save the cumin for later once I finish the flaxseed...😍

So, I stopped by CVS to pick up some flaxseed oil capsules.😍
After doing a bit of digging online, I've decided to take just one capsule a day for the next month.

Once that's done, I'll move on to some Omega-3 supplements. 😍

I typically only join a conversation when someone addresses me directly...

Oh, so we’re just supposed to take your word for it that Dragon1000 and Lida are better?🤣

Please, what about Octo? That guy probably ended up in the ER because he used your medicine...

No, let everyone see exactly who you are and what you're planning. Thank God everything on this forum is recorded...

With faith in God, my regards to you...😂😂

Please, let me know the exact name and manufacturer of that cream you're using. I'm heading to Germany on business this weekend and was thinking of picking up a larger supply while I'm there...
Also, please let me know how to use it properly and if there are any side effects...
Thank you so much...

Just transcribing what's on the box...

Psorcutan ointment...

Intendis...
Intendis

They offer both 30 mg and 90 mg packaging...
The 90mg option is much better value; the larger size costs less than buying three of the 30mg tubes...

I've also heard they offer a Psorcutan scalp lotion, which might be worth picking up...😉

If there’s anything else you need to know, just let me know...

Generally, you just apply a very thin layer once a day. Don't expect to see any real progress right away; it usually takes a few weeks to notice a difference...

Side effects...
Clinical studies have demonstrated that Calcipotriol maintains an excellent safety profile... Instances of hypercalcemia remain quite rare...
Calcipotriol is a vitamin D analog used to manage psoriasis... It works by slowing down the overproduction of skin cells...

There are still several pages left, so feel free to look through them yourself...😉

There are fewer side effects compared to Belosalica, and since Psorcutan is generally considered safe, even small children can use it outdoors...

jadeheron12 said:The box specifies: 0.005% + 0.05% ointment
calcipotriol + betamethasone

The manufacturer is Intendis
Segrate, Italy
20090 Segrate (Milan), basically

LEO Laboratories Ltd., Cashel Road,
Dublin, Ireland 🙂

Ah, so that’s the version of Psorcutan for the Italian market,😉 and it’s been boosted with a bit of corticosteroid (betamethasone, which is what you find in Belosalic)
Here is the breakdown for Belosalic:
Belosalic ointment: one gram of ointment contains 0.5 mg of betamethasone dipropionate and 30 mg of salicylic acid. Inactive ingredients: liquid paraffin, white petrolatum.

Depending on the region, Psorcutan, Dovonex, or Daivonex all rely on the same active ingredient, calcipotriol.
It is used in the treatment of psoriasis, marketed under the trade name Dovonex or Daivonex.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcipotriol

I actually have this ointment myself, though without the corticosteroid, meant for the German market. It's from the same Irish firm, just called Psorcutan there...

See? I really should have studied pharmacy...😍🤣

jadeheron12 said:It costs about $27 for 30 grams and you can find it in pretty much any pharmacy in Rome. I'm not sure what the availability is like back home, but once I get back and finish what I brought with me, I'll start looking around locally...

Thanks so much, see you around!

Could you please provide the full name of the cream? When I search for the token on Google, nothing comes up.

I am genuinely happy and truly glad to be able to share this joy with all of you, along with a bit of advice regarding psoriasis. I just hope things stay this way... How are you doing?
best to you and everyone here 😍

I'm doing okay, thanks for asking.😍
I have a few spots on my body... I just stick to neutral creams and oils.

The only thing giving me trouble lately is my scalp...🙄

Well, haha... 😬

Robin Robinson8, I am truly glad to hear you're feeling better. Dropping from 90% down to 15% is an incredibly significant improvement...
