So, I’m at H&M, right? And honestly, if I grab one of those non-stretch shirts in a size 46, it actually fits me perfectly. Like, it hangs just right. But if I try a 44? Forget it. My chest looks like the buttons are about to go flying across the store like little projectiles... and don't even get me started on other shops where a 48 feels like it was made for a toddler. I mean, with my build, I can walk into H&M, grab a Medium with some stretch, and it fits like a dream. If I told anyone else my actual size while claiming I wear a Medium, they wouldn't just laugh at me—they’d think I was straight-up delusional... I'm not about to buy clothes that highlight every single roll of bacon on my stomach or give me a massive muffin top, you know? It's exhausting. Even my friend, who officially wears a size 52 but has to hunt down their XXXL just to breathe, is dealing with this mess. This is the first time I've ever heard of someone actually needing to size *up* from their label just to feel comfortable...
Hey, what's up... just me again. Honestly? I'm losing my mind over here. Everything feels like such a mess lately, you know? Like, you try to do one thing right and then ten other things just... explode. It's constant. Just total chaos. I was sitting there thinking about how much easier life would be if people just... I don't even know, acted like adults for five minutes? Is that too much to ask? Probably. Definitely too much. Anyway... just venting. My head is spinning. kaže: I AM ACTUALLY GOING TO LOSE MY MIND. Like, seriously. So the other day I’m feeling myself, right? I pull out these old size 42 pants—the ones from back in the day—and they fit! I'm standing there like, "Okay, yeah, I actually did lose some weight..." feeling all proud and stuff... and then?! Then I go to H&M and pick out these absolutely gorgeous pair of pants, right? And I can't even get into a size 46... I mean, ARE THEY INSANE??? Is everyone at H&M losing their minds or what... 🤣 😍 Man, I’m telling you... these lower leg pieces? Total joke. They won't even get past my knees for me... and honestly, if they tried anything higher up, it would be a disaster... just way too much fabric everywhere. Like, what is their design process even based on? Seriously, what are they actually cutting over there?... 😍 Man, I seriously had to go absolutely ham on some food just to feel human again... like, I was starving. Just totally wiped out. 🤣 🤷
So, uh, I don't know if this happened to you too... but like, when I was gaining weight—going from a size 4 to a size 8—I kept my old size 4 jeans tucked away, thinking "one day I'll fit back into these..." but then, fast forward, I actually lost the weight and tried to squeeze back into them, and guess what? Not a single pair of size 4s in any store actually fit me... The reason? Well, since I had been expanding, the fabric itself just stretched out so much that they weren't even a real size 4 anymore... it was totally different from the original... 🤣
Ugh, okay, can we talk about H&M for a second? Because seriously... their sizing is absolutely unhinged. Like, I don’t know what kind of math they’re using over there, but it makes zero sense. Honestly, if I’m usually a size 4 or 6 in basically every other store—you know, like Target or Gap—I walk into H&M and suddenly I’m fitting into a 2 or a 4?! It’s wild... totally ridiculous... how does that even happen?
Man, I honestly can't tell if it was just one specific AI model that messed everything up or what... like, it feels so weird... 🤷
Scott Perez57 said:I see you can order the Mango line online—prices are listed in dollars—but I was wondering if they actually carry that specific line in their physical stores?
Thanks. I caught a glimpse of some size 52-54 while I was out and about, but since this is supposed to be a gift, I don't want to spend my entire afternoon wandering aimlessly around town trying to find the right thing... I'd rather just head straight to the spot, you know? So, if any of you remember a decent shop—and please, anything *except* a KiK—let me know! =)
Does anyone actually know where I can find underwear, pajamas, nightgowns, or even just some decent robes in a size 56/58? Seriously, it’s like they don't even make stuff for real people anymore...
Maybe these photos will make it clearer. Look, I get it—classics are classics for a reason, and they’re usually what HR wants you to wear at the office. But honestly? I feel like I’m constantly running into the same wall of pure boredom:
I just want something even slightly more modern or stylish... you know, anything that isn't strictly "old school corporate." It doesn't have to be jeans right away, but hopefully, you can see the vibe I'm going for.
Need some advice—I’m looking for a dress or maybe some trousers and a blouse that actually looks classy (like, for job interviews and stuff), size 14, but I don't want to look like I've given up on life, you know? Still wanna look young! I popped into Marks & Spencer because I knew they had a "workwear section," but honestly... everything there looks like it was designed for my grandmother. Total snooze fest. And H&M's plus size line is a disaster right now because since it's spring, it's just endless piles of denim and linen... nothing professional at all. Ugh. I have no clue where else to check that won't absolutely bankrupt me. Help.
Ryan Chase24 said:It feels once again as though we are discussing two entirely different people. Before starting the program, Jelčić gives a lecture to the patients, and the one I attended was excellent—witty, clear, and very thorough regarding the common pitfalls of dieting and weight loss. He explained in great detail why frequent smaller meals are vital, why reducing fats and carbohydrates is necessary, and why keeping a food diary is absolutely essential. During my follow-up appointment, he discussed my specific challenges with calorie restriction and how my perimenopause might be impacting my weight fluctuations. He was incredibly polite when addressing my questions about potential hormone replacement therapy. I came in for a check-up after the summer break having lost only one pound, which made me feel a bit self-conscious. Not only did he not scold me, but he actually commended me, noting that most patients typically gain two or three pounds over the summer, so my one-pound loss was, in his eyes, equivalent to losing three or four pounds. Having spoken with other patients myself, I can tell you that you hear all sorts of things. It is rare to find anyone who admits they aren't following the rules; everyone claims to be perfectly disciplined, fasting regularly, exercising constantly, and yet, goodness knows, they barely lose any weight at all. I am not sure how he handles those cases, but personally, I tend to take those patients with a grain of salt. 🙂
And did you receive your lab results and treatment immediately, or was there a struggle to get everything sorted out? How did that process go?
There wasn't a struggle at all; in fact, his first step was to write me a referral for every possible blood test and lab work imaginable. He insisted that I come back with the results for a consultation *before* even considering entering the weight loss program. He even cautioned me that we would need to monitor for any signs of depression, as depressive symptoms are often a contraindication for this type of program. To be honest, he can be a bit gruff, but my personal impression is that he is truly an expert who genuinely cares about his patients.
Well, I didn't get any referrals for jack squat. They just asked about my family history, blood pressure, cholesterol—that was basically it. And now I'm hearing people praising Dr. Jelcica while others are saying the exact opposite... man, I don't even know what to believe anymore. I remember how my first checkup went, and look, I could always go back, but it's such a shame when people walk away from a place feeling totally screwed over...

For women, doctors often screen for PCOS by checking cortisol and ACTH levels. If those initial results come back abnormal, they'll dig deeper with a full glucose profile (fasting plus a 2-hour post-meal test), a 24-hour urine glucose test, and specialized adrenal function panels.
Since I haven't actually stepped foot back in that clinic since my first appointment, can someone please fill me in on what kind of follow-up tests they actually run? And seriously, can I just get my primary care doctor to order them instead of dealing with all that headache at the hospital?
I’m actually looking into that other hospital now😲
If they’d treated me like that, I would’ve stayed in a heartbeat. Seriously, everything you’re saying sounds amazing... the reason I left was just because all those glowing reviews I heard about them didn't match my actual experience at all. They didn't say any of that to me.
And none of that stuff you mentioned about nutrition? Not a single word from them. Like, I already know the drill—I’ve tried basically every diet under the sun to lose weight—but they acted like they had no clue what my history was. Same thing with exercise... there was some comment about how I shouldn't worry about working out until I "fix" my diet first, or something like that. I can't remember the exact wording, but it was totally useless...
After we talked, they told me to come back for a follow-up in two months. Two months! That felt way too long... I get it, they have a ton of patients, but when you look at private doctors, they’re checking your food diary every single week or something. They actually care about you on a regular basis and help you through the rough patches—especially since some people eat their feelings, and you need someone to teach you how to stop doing that. This whole thing was just a nightmare...
Honestly, you’ve got me so curious now that I’m going to go find out who did my initial screening... might even try to get back in with your Dr. Jelacic instead.
Thanks, but I actually went there at the end and it was a total disaster....
First off, they shove this 1200 calorie diet down your throat. There’s zero concept of actual healthy eating or anything. Since I was still in college back then, the lady literally told me she didn't care if I lived on Kinder Bueno all day long, as long as I stuck to my 1200 calories. 😲
Then she goes, "If you don't drop a specific amount of weight by a certain date, you're going on pills..."
And all over their website, they brag about providing psychological support, checking your metabolism, hormone levels, blah blah blah... none of that happened. Not even close...
Physical activity? To them, it's like a foreign language. Seriously, whatever.
Mayo Clinic Obesity Center 👎 👎 👎 I’d honestly rather tell people to just Google stuff than ever step foot in that place. I have no clue why they even think they’re qualified to work with people struggling in this area, but I guess it's like everything else in America—if you aren't paying for a private doctor, don't expect much from them....
Sophia Wells72 said:Honestly, I’ve been chewing on that idea too, but man, it’s such a massive undertaking right now. With how messy everything is today—all those endless genres, subgenres, sub-subgenres, whatever... it's a mess. Plus, people would just start whining eventually like: what the hell is Some random performer even doing under the Pop category when they're basically making Britpop, indie stuff, R&B, dance, etc....
Anyway, we’ll take the suggestion into account. Even if we don't go this route, maybe we can figure out some other way to sort things out.
Look, I know people are always gonna jump in with their "oh, but what about this subgenre" nonsense, but at the end of the day, Pop is just popular music. If someone hits big, they fall into that bucket. Period. I get that you guys probably don't care about all these tiny little genre splits that pop up every time a new artist drops, but seriously, people are just being annoying about it. Thanks for looking into it 🙂
So I already dropped a comment over on Simp-landia saying that she’s basically cranking out a whole new thread for every single living singer who barely even has two posts to their name... honestly, I don't know what everyone else thinks about it, but it feels a little bit like trolling if you ask me. I’d personally suggest looking into adding some sub-forums under Music—like maybe one just for Pop? Because right now, that section is absolutely slammed with threads (I mean, I’m definitely jumping in too, don't get me wrong) ranging from Beyoncé and Adele to Britney and Gage and stuff like that. And the same thing goes for the television section—that "Unseen" area is just a massive pile of threads about those Turkish soap operas that everyone is obsessed with lately...
Gregory Howard71 said:Never even heard of those bands! Seriously... what even is that? 😁 Man, I clearly need to do some serious homework before I even think about heading out to Coachella... 😁
Luft... man, where do I even start with that one? Just... ugh. Honestly, some things just hit different, and this is one of those "if you know, you know" situations, but also, like, why is it so hard to find good stuff like this anymore? Everything is so processed now... so fake... anyway, Luft. Just... yeah. 🙂🙂🙂 Check out this link... http://www.myspace.com/luftaliste

Now they’re all acting like they’re "protecting the local tourism potential" just because they can't stretch the festival out to three days... Like T-Mobile US is some huge deal and they’re totally certain they could pull in enough massive headliners for a three-day run on short notice... If that were actually the case, they wouldn't be sitting around waiting until three weeks before the fest to announce a zero day... They're just gambling here...
And as for the venue itself? They could've handed that over for free if they wanted to....
Ugh, seriously, it just popped up on me without any little 'x' to close it out... I couldn't find a way to kill it anywhere. It drove me absolutely insane for half the morning...
are you seriously still claiming that having Prodigy back would be a bad move?
Look, I didn't say anything against Prodigy as a band—I'm not saying they shouldn't play! It's just... man, if Coachella turns into another lineup where we get Franz Ferdinand, Nick Cave, TBF, Kawasaki, CHK CHK CHK, and then toss Prodigy on top of all that... ugh. Just enough to make me want to scream. I love listening to everything under the sun, and yeah, I'll go to shows regardless of the genre, but I expect more from a massive festival like this... why? Because the concert season so far has been absolute garbage. Like, 90% of these performers? I've seen them all already. They just keep circling the same drain over and over and over...
