Charles Leclerc... honestly, what a driver. Just incredible.
ruggedhawk20 said:How fifth? There is no way they are slower than Red Bull and still sitting in fifth.

Look, this is the current pace ranking based on car speed:

1. Ferrari
2. Red Bull
3. Mercedes
4. Renault
5. McLaren

Are you actually trying to convince us that both Renault and McLaren are faster than Mercedes, or is it just a struggle to count to five?

Swap 2 and 3 and let him try his math again.🙂

Has anyone here ever heard of abstract mathematics?
Charles Leclerc took the top spot in FP1. We'll see how things unfold throughout the rest of the weekend.

I find it hard to believe he lacks access to the necessary data; it makes zero sense for Mercedes-Benz to sabotage his potential.
If he was somehow left out before, he’ll certainly be brought back into the fold now. Their title defense is at stake, or at least that's what Lewis Hamilton claims.
Now they'll just spend every race tearing poor Bottas apart.
It was easy enough when a dominant car could mask any mistakes, but they might actually find themselves missing a faster Esteban Ocon now.

Why on earth would Ocon be faster than Bottas?
When exactly has Ocon ever demonstrated that level of pace?
Maybe based on his ability to decide whether to win or lose against Sergio Perez?
By all measurable standards, Bottas was a far more impressive driver than Ocon prior to joining Mercedes-Benz.

What kind of god is this Ocon? Bottas would eat him alive, let alone Lewis Hamilton.

People overhype Ocon way too much based on those Force India performances, which weren't even that remarkable considering how some people choose to view them.
Roger Wright94 said:Are you trying to explain this to Jason Campbell70 or someone else?
If it's for Jason Campbell70, then this is just a complete load of garbage compared to his actual stats.

Because how could Lewis have lost if he didn't have inferior race pace!?
His race pace was worse than Valtteri Bottas, and in the last two races, though he somehow managed to stay ahead in Singapore.

Look, the reasons for failure can sometimes be completely banal and unexpected.
Maybe it was a new haircut? 🤔

Or perhaps a new girlfriend? 🤔

I am explaining it to everyone; I believe Mercedes had the best race pace, but unfortunately, they couldn't demonstrate it.
Ferrari was very close, nearly identical, while Red Bull was lagging quite a bit.
Bottas is a non-entity; it's just that Mercedes wouldn't let him ahead of Lewis due to some idiotic, compromised tactical bullshit.

Bottas never possessed the race pace that Lewis has.
We barely even caught a glimpse of the true Mercedes race pace; all we saw from Lewis Hamilton was his peak performance once his tires were already shot during that first stint, and that was about it.
Following that, and leading up to it, we just witnessed desperate attempts to hunt down Leclerc and Max Verstappen.

Similarly, we only saw the full extent of Leclerc's race pace during that chase for Sebastian Vettel right before the safety car came out.

Vettel likely showed his best rhythm early in the second stint and during the undercut.

Max didn't get much opportunity to establish a rhythm either, and Alexander Albon certainly didn't, given he's basically a Gastly compared to Max.

If I had to make a snap judgment, I'd say Ferrari and Mercedes were almost dead even on race pace, though perhaps giving a slight edge to Mercedes since they actually had the chance to stretch their legs.

In short, Leclerc absolutely wrecked any meaningful race pace statistics in that first stint, especially when you factor in that safety car which killed whatever tiny hope we had of actually watching a real race pace unfold.

By the end, everyone was just a mess of different tire compounds—some on fresh rubber, some on hards, others on Medium—so once again, we weren't actually observing actual race pace.

To put it bluntly, your algorithms for detecting race pace are useless and completely worthless.

It seems like you and Gregory Brown94 have sort of... how should I put this... slightly pedophilic tendencies. 🎉

But things have progressed nicely. We started with well-dressed ladies, then moved on to slightly less dressed ladies, now we have naked ladies, and before long, we'll probably have full-blown gangbangs somewhere down in Brazil.

Precisely. 👍
All this talk... it either reaches its end or perhaps it's just beginning. One can never be quite sure.

It’s quite obvious that they’d be calling Lewis Hamilton over to Central Park just to pose for an ad featuring an empty beer can.

It is unfortunate, yet what Tim Tebow is saying is the plain truth.

I wasn't even aware that Lewis Hamilton had children 🙂 though I suppose I knew, but that is likely all anyone knows about them, much like everyone else.

Well, certainly not in the Mediterranean, and definitely not in the USA.🎉

Simone Biles listed quite a few drivers, and out of that entire group, Lewis Hamilton is the only one who actually won a title, even though that isn't really her business to begin with.

So, mathematically speaking, we're already looking at a figure well above 75% for those who don't achieve it.

For heaven's sake, how many times do I have to point out that mathematics is an exact science.

Isn't that just the most mundane, everyday behavior for all of us?!!??

Kudos to you, ruggedhawk20, if that's how you operate.👍

About 90% of people have a strange compulsion to avoid doing exactly that.

Ale isn't green! You can't go labeling a red Kawasaki as green when that's clearly Honda's color.

Go ahead and label Dean Harrison from 2019 then, if you must.

The point isn't even about the numbers; the issue is that the officials completely botched the race finish with that decision...

Anyway, here is what JV is saying
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/v...nada/4467183/?

I haven't a clue what he's getting at regarding Ricky. I didn't follow it closely; that damn F1 Pro app kept crashing on me constantly.😠

Toby, math is a nightmare! If you take 7 points away from Lewis Hamilton and give 7 points to Sebastian Vettel, what do you get?

Hamilton would have had 155 points if not for the penalty, while Vettel would have 107.

The lead wouldn't be 62; it would be 48.
