You were cheering for him just yesterday.

Are you actually hearing yourself right now!? For God's sake.
darkmarlin16 said:Honestly, Nando’s already racked up more points at the Indy 500 than he’ll probably see in an entire Formula 1 season combined

Otherwise, Alain Prost suggested something regarding tire strategy to spice up the show:
let every driver pick whatever component they want for any wheel. There would be no requirement to run two different compounds during the race, meaning those who don't want to pit simply shouldn't have to.

William Bennett53 said:Now, what exactly are we discussing here? Last year, Red Bull managed to catch up to and eventually overtake a mediocre Ferrari. This season, Ferrari seems stuck trailing behind Mercedes, while Red Bull is lagging just about as much as they did last year. Does anyone—aside from neonfox65—actually believe they can develop their car quickly enough to close the gap on the two frontrunners and rejoin the title fight?

I also think if Vettel ends up winning the championship, Mercedes-Benz will absolutely crush Hamilton and kick him out of the team regardless of his contract just to bring in Fernando Alonso. I’d honestly bet ten bucks on it.

jadeseal7 said:Let me enlighten you with one simple fact. We can clearly see that Mercedes-Benz absolutely devours their tires, whereas Ferrari manages them much better—which gives them a massive advantage during race conditions. Back in 2016, while Vettel was busy doing all those Pirelli tests, Hamilton was out there tearing up the tracks across America.

Lujo says that tire testing feels like a total waste of his time. ☕
Vettel realizes that his 2017 season actually started last year, but apparently, Lujo still hasn't quite wrapped his head around that.
Case closed.
jadeseal7 said:Since when did the idea of Senna being better than Prost lead you to that specific conclusion about Hamilton?
We’ll just have to wait and see throughout the season who plays the tactician and who doesn't—we'll see how things unfold, assuming Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari stay neck-and-neck. And if Red Bull Racing decides to join the fray too, well, things are going to get interesting!
Personally, I'm mostly just looking forward to this season; we finally have a genuine fight on our hands. It feels like it's been years since we've seen anything like this.
In my view, Hamilton and Vettel aren't really similar at all. Vettel is such a hard worker—the guy knows almost every single technical aspect of his car, shows up for every single test, stays away from the media spotlight, and so on and so forth.
Hamilton on the other hand...

Hamilton seems to be channeling Senna, who is clearly his idol—whereas while Vettel looks up to Schumacher, I’d argue his calculated style actually reminds me more of Prost. And let's be fair, Schumacher wasn't exactly the "Professor" type of driver—not certainly during those early years in Formula 1.
