Maria Fisher46 said:Seeing toxic granules inside those neutrophils can definitely be a red flag for an infection—and honestly, the more of those granules you see across the neutrophil count, the higher the likelihood that we’re looking at a bacterial issue. Since the lab report mentions they're only showing up in a few cells rather than all of them, it probably means either the infection is pretty mild or it's already starting to clear up... one way or another, there's a good chance the white blood cell count is being pushed around by whatever infection is going on.
Everything else stays the same as what I mentioned before...
Thanks so much!!! 🙂

I was wondering if you could take a look at these results and tell me if everything looks okay? I'm a little concerned about this slight uptick in my white blood cell count.
Here’s the context:
A 30-year-old male, just doing a routine checkup. At the time of the draw, I had a cold sore on my lip that was clearing up, and some dental issues—missing several teeth—though there isn't any active pain or inflammation in my mouth right now (at least, that's how it feels subjectively).
RBC 5.75 (4.34-5.72)
Hemoglobin 177 (138-175)
Hematocrit 0.535 (0.415-0.53)
MCV 93 (83-97.2)
MCH 30.8 (27.4-33.9)
MCHC 331 (320-345)
RDW 12 (9-15)
Platelets 338 (158-424)
MPV 8.8 (6.8-10.4)
WBC 13.26 (3.4-9.7)
SE 3.000 (2-13)
Eosinophils 2.1 (0-7)
Basophils 0.4 (0-1)
Neutrophils 66.7 (44-72)
Lymphocytes 27.1 (40-46)
Monocytes 3.7 (2-12)
I forgot to mention:
Morphology: toxic granules present in individual neutrophil granulocytes.
What does that actually mean?
One more thing... just ten days ago, my WBC was at 14.7... so they have actually dropped over the last ten days. Should I be worried about these white cell levels? Because regarding the other elevated markers, you guys mentioned those looked normal...
Thanks!
Maria Fisher46 said:It would be best to check the CRP levels and get a more thorough medical history to really understand what we're looking at here. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact cause without that context, though seeing those elevated white blood cell counts means we can't exactly call the results "normal"... even if they aren't necessarily a cause for panic just yet...
Thanks for the input! 🙂

Hey there
you can find more details about all of this right here
I honestly think you'll find a ton of the specific info you're looking for over there...
good luck
I just saw that you didn't end up getting the Utrogestan.
Honestly, looking back at what I mentioned before, that might have been exactly what you needed to be prescribed...
You should really head straight to your OB-GYN so they can get you in for an ultrasound right away, because once they see what's actually going on, you'll have much better answers.
Which progesterone supplements were you prescribed?
If they put you on something like S কথাProgesterone, then you really need to stay on top of those doses... they're vital for supporting the pregnancy and they won't hurt the baby at all.
Now, spotting during pregnancy doesn't always signal a major crisis, though it can lead to a miscarriage depending on what's actually causing the bleeding.
So, if your doctor gave you a prescription for progesterone, definitely take it, and make sure you follow up with another ultrasound just to figure out exactly why the bleeding is happening.
Wishing you the best of luck...
Hey there.
I really don't want to overstep or give you any false hope, but based on what you've described, I can't help but wonder if you might be dealing with endometriosis...
That said, nobody on the internet can tell you for sure—you're going to need a real gynecologist to give you a definitive answer.
So, my best advice is to head straight to a specialist, because if it actually turns out to be endometriosis, it can make life quite complicated...😠
Don't panic, though; it isn't life-threatening, but it definitely isn't something you want to just brush off if it's the real deal.
In any case, I'm crossing my fingers that it’s nothing more than some minor hormonal imbalance that can be easily sorted out with a few pills...👍
