How to lose 55 lbs in a month? in Health ·
Don’t let those initial numbers fool you. Right now, you’re mostly just losing water weight—it feels great, sure, but things actually get much tougher down the road. Just don't lose heart. On March 18th of this year, I was sitting at 250 lbs. Since then, I’ve dropped 77 lbs—though, full disclosure, I had gastric bypass surgery. In my specific case, I hit a bit of a wall early on because I lost 40 lbs in that very first month. Even with the surgery, that wasn't healthy. It goes to show that losing weight too fast isn't the win people think it is, even when you're doing it "naturally." For me, a normal pace would have been about 20-25 lbs the first month, then maybe 15 lbs a month after that. If you want to avoid the weight creeping back on you—usually with interest—the smartest move is aiming for about 15 lbs the first month and then tapering down to 10 lbs monthly. That’s specifically for those of you tackling this without surgery.
I know how agonizing it is to sit there waiting for the scale to budge, but believe me—you will regret chasing those quick fixes. That is exactly how I ended up where I was. I started out just wanting to drop 20 lbs using these ultra-restrictive crash diets, and I ended up finishing with over 110 lbs to lose. I always had this naive thought: "Once I finally lose the weight, I'll just be able to maintain it easily..." Well, let me tell you—that's a lie. Please, just don't—DON'T—fall for the rapid weight loss schemes. I’m telling you this as someone whose life was nearly derailed by those exact diets.
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·

Does anyone actually have an idea what the cost for a breast augmentation is these days?

I assume she already checked with her doctor, but she really needs to find someone who’s dealt with this exact issue. I’ve honestly never heard of anything like this before. From what I can gather—and I'm certainly no expert here—this would imply that even if you're pregnant, you could somehow conceive again. Could you please clarify what's actually going on? I'm genuinely curious...😉>
Melissa White42 said:I was at a clinic in Cleveland today—my doctor sent me for an eye exam because she suspected I might be having a stroke—and honestly, I am just beyond disappointed.
The nurse checked my vision first, but when I finally sat down with the specialist, her first move was to interrogate me about who referred me and why—she actually snapped that people only come to her if they’re already blind! She was incredibly rude, did absolutely nothing to help, and basically told me my vision looked "just fine" before handing my paperwork back and sending me straight back to my primary physician. It was a total disaster; I couldn't believe it.
The specialist involved is Dr. Lucille Ball.
In the end, the whole appointment felt like a complete waste of time—and frankly, it’s left me terrified of getting any further testing done.

Listen, honey, please don't let this scare you. You have to stay persistent. Take those papers, go back to that same hospital, but request a different doctor—see what someone else has to say. If you feel better with their approach, you should definitely mention how Dr. Lucille Ball handled things. Mention that you're even considering legal action—since you pay plenty into the healthcare system and you've had quite enough of this kind of treatment.
My dear Melissa White42, a lawsuit probably won't lead anywhere, but it is vital that she hears it—that she actually stops to reflect on her behavior. I can guarantee you she'll spend more sleepless nights worrying about her reputation than you will about this encounter.😉

Does anyone happen to know the typical cost for groin liposuction?
