Zidane is returning to football! in Soccer ·

He’s living proof of that theory... besides winning titles in Italy (as the star at Juventus) and Spain (dominating at Real Madrid), he took home the World Cup and the Euros, and he was always the standout player on any squad he joined...
And when you consider that since the days of Maradona, and especially Pele (who usually get all the credit), soccer has evolved so much in terms of physicality, tactics, and training... everything has leveled up...
But regardless of the trophies, watching him play was just "different" compared to everyone else; he didn't lose the ball, and you'd rarely see him miss more than one or two passes per match...
Even if you stack him up against today's icons like Kaká or Ronaldinho, their impact on the pitch still doesn't touch what the greatest provided... Zizou...
That said, there is one guy currently on track to potentially be just as vital to his team... In my eyes, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best and most valuable player in the world right now...

I find myself nodding along with that final point. Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly the best on the planet today, and claiming Zidane is among the all-time greats? That's a given.
However, I can't help but notice a certain pattern with the name Ronaldo. It seems like a lucky charm; anyone carrying that name becomes a legend. First, you had the incomparable Luis, then Ronaldinho, and now Cristiano Ronaldo—all top-tier icons of the sport!

Zidane is undoubtedly one of the greatest midfielders to ever grace the pitch! I would give just about anything to sit down and rewatch those old matches featuring Zidane, Ronaldo, and Beckham—not to mention Figo back when he was wearing that iconic Real Madrid kit during the glory days of the Galacticos. Honestly, whenever I start thinking about those games, a wave of pure nostalgia hits me. It would be absolutely wonderful to see him out on the field again, though I also feel quite strongly that we shouldn't go messing with this current squad under Schuster. They’ve found such a great rhythm lately; the guys are playing exceptionally well, and I truly believe making any massive, sudden changes right now would do them more harm than good!

Kimi 93
Lewis Hamilton 87
Fernando Alonso 85

And honestly, if they had managed to pull that off, I think Formula 1 would have essentially collapsed as a legitimate competition. Personally, I was pulling for Lewis Hamilton, but my main goal was simply ensuring Fernando Alonso didn't take the trophy. In the end, Kimi deserved to be World Champion, plain and simple.🙏 There’s really no debate there, and I actually find myself respecting Fernando Alonso a lot more now after his recent comments.👍 Maybe he said it because of the whole Lewis Hamilton drama, but regardless, the man is spot on—Kimi earned that title, period. Even Lewis Hamilton seems to agree with the sentiment. It's just that Ron Dennis can't seem to stomach the reality that he became the biggest loser in history—not just in Formula 1, but in all of sports—solely due to his own sheer stupidity. My personal philosophy is pretty straightforward: if a team has to designate a number one driver, fine, whoever they pick. I thought it should be Lewis Hamilton, but if it had been Fernando Alonso, I would've been fine with that too. But there has to be a sense of order; without structure, you get chaos, and instead of a powerhouse like Ferrari, you end up with the Los Angeles Lakers.😁

I'm with you on this—there is no way they could have taken that title from Kimi!!

Moderators, please start nuking posts like "Now the deaths will really start rolling in" or stuff like "There's gonna be 100 dead people at the celebration"...

It's easy to laugh now, but don't forget we went through war here too...

Oh, give me a break, people. They were just joking around; that one post didn't actually kill anyone! Suddenly you're acting all sympathetic and righteous!
Oh, please, what's the point of talking about 600,000? It’s all moot at this stage because Real Madrid is the champion anyway.
