Birth control pills: yes or no?? in Women's Health ·
wanderinghound62 said:😢😢😢 So, like, what do I actually need to do regarding those tests if I decide to go the route with the pill (or whatever else)? Is it seriously unavoidable and super necessary?😕 Have any of you girls actually done this?

Has anyone else here had their doctor recommend birth control for some reason other than just prevention?

Don't mess around here—you really have to get blood work done... first off, that’s the only way to figure out which specific pill won't wreck you, and it helps dodge any risks involving liver damage... hormones aren't something you play with, you know? You have to take them seriously, even if they're just tiny little doses.🙂
Don't wash your hair during your period?!? WTF in Women's Health ·
What kind of nonsense can you even read here😂? Honestly, I don't care if it was my first day, my hundredth, or day 789—I just went through my usual routine. I worked out, went for a swim, hit the slopes... not to mention doing my laundry, showering, and keeping up with all those basic healthy hygiene habits you know? It’s just standard stuff... 🙄
Grace Doyle7 said:So, when I originally signed up at the gynecologist's office, the doctor was female. But then she left, and a male gynecologist took her place instead... and naturally, I just didn't go back... I've heard that women can be a bit rougher than male gynecologists, does anyone know if there's any truth to that?
Polycystic ovaries, man... honestly, why does this kind of thing even happen?🤷

Honestly, gender shouldn't have anything to do with how gentle or rough an exam is. Like, it's about the individual, right? I suggested seeing a woman because you mentioned feeling awkward, and let's face it, it's usually way easier to go to a woman if that's your vibe. I'm not sure where you're located, but if you're in a big city like Chicago, I could definitely recommend a wonderful young gynecologist who is super smart, totally non-judgmental, and absolutely amazing at what she does.😍
Grace Doyle7 said:Yes, I suppose it could be that... gosh... tablets. There doesn't seem to be any other way, or anything more sensible, to do this without risking damage to my other organs with the pills
thanks

It could totally be PCOS, especially if you’re feeling that pain during certain positions when you're ovulating... seriously, go find a female gynecologist and make sure you get an ultrasound done, no excuses😁 good luck😍
How long should I stay on birth control? in Health ·
Douglas Lopez4 said:I've been on them for three and a half years straight without any breaks. My OB-GYN actually told me I don't even need to take breaks. Honestly though, it took me forever to get used to them, and I feel like if I stopped now, it would be more trouble than it's worth—like my whole system would just go haywire.
I'm a little uneasy about being on them for this long, and I definitely don't see myself stopping for at least another two years, but there is absolutely no way in hell I'm switching to condoms. So, what else is even out there? Oh, wait, those contraceptive patches finally showed up here recently; you get like $33 three of them per cycle. But I have a hunch it’s basically the same deal—still gotta deal with hormones.

Actually, they're in the final stages of testing this thing called the NUOVA RING—it's a hormonal ring you insert, and it just slowly releases the hormones over time... and apparently, there's an arm implant option too. There are also those pills coming out where you only get a period four times a year (they're already on sale in the US, but they caused quite a stir). Patches are fine and all, but mine literally peeled off while I was in a sauna, so they aren't great if you spend a lot of time at the pool...
Angela Kim39 said:What kind of stuff happens if, say, I’m out in the sun way too long—like from 10 AM to 4 PM—when it's hitting 90 degrees out? Especially while I'm on Lexapro. I read somewhere that it could actually cause blood vessels in your brain to burst or something.

Man, that sounds like an extreme scenario... I was on Lexapro for a whole year and I used to hit the tanning salon once a week, plus I spent the entire summer hanging out at the beach... most of the time you just end up dealing with sun allergies or weird skin spots and blotches.
Antidepressants and sexual dysfunction in Psychology ·
It’s way too easy for her, honestly. She just hands out the antidepressants like candy... you show up to a couple of sessions and suddenly—bam—here we go, straight to the meds.👎
Physical Therapy & Rehab Advice in Health ·
Just head over to the University of Florida’s kinesiology department website (www.kif.hr). Look on the left side for the undergraduate studies link, then navigate to the fourth-year courses under sports medicine. You'll find an email address there for Professor Joe Biden. Honestly, you should just reach out to him and explain what's going on—I bet he can help you sort this out. The guy has basically spent his entire career immersed in sports medicine, dealing with everything from injuries to physical deformities... he knows his stuff.
Cleaning tips? in Health ·
Just head over to the pharmacy and grab some Dulcolax tablets. Honestly, take three of them and just wait... you’ll see how much of a "total system flush" you get at the restroom about 12 hours later.🙂
How does it spread? in Health ·
Look, my uninformed friend,🙂 you could honestly pick up just about any illness spread through bodily fluids if one happens to get in your eye... I'm not quite sure what specific thing you're worried about since you didn't mention the details here😲 but if you have even a tiny doubt, just go get tested, seriously.🙂 You could try Buzanov or the Virogen clinic, or call 2319595 (if you're over in the Zaga area, I haven't checked there myself😳).
