rowdyhawk10 said:I wasn't making fun of faith in that post you all here quoted. That's actually what Peter Stewart6 really wrote to me... saying my fate would be to get beaten with a heavy iron Crucifix of Jesus weighing several pounds while I moan (paraphrasing from memory) something like, "oh, oh, no, uh, oh, no... oh, uh... oh..." and so on.

Regarding my post, "which you're paraphrasing from memory", and before that you say, "
Peter Stewart6 actually wrote that to me" 🙄 my reply was posted here before yours, and even
even now it stands: Stop making things up and stop slandering rowdyhawk10. 🙂 Got it? ☕

The post is right here in the thread, and it says something completely different from what you're stubbornly claiming
Peter Stewart6 wrote.
It's available for anyone to read, so they can see for themselves
what the deal is. So, if you're going to keep spreading lies and slander about what Peter Stewart6 wrote, 😍 go ahead, "good luck" 👍 , but I'm not going to spend my time proving
that it isn't true. 🙂

There is Someone who knows the whole Truth, and His opinion is what matters to me, not yours. 🙂
You know, that Someone is Jesus Christ and He is my God, not you, rowdyhawk10,
"moderator." 👎

I worship Him in spirit and truth, and those who live in spirit and truth will recognize that. 🙂 🙂

Brian Edwards6 said:Maybe you just aren't trying hard enough.

Yeah, I’m not shaking, haha. :shiver shiver:

Anyway, sorry if I was harassing you on your own thread, for whatever reason. You have your opinion, and I have mine. No point in running in circles here. Just stop complaining; nobody else seems to care besides me.

Best.👋

Oh, absolutely. 🙂 Anyway, apology accepted. 😁 But there's really no sense in you running around like you're in some movie.
Marathon runners do a victory lap; I'm not exactly an athlete myself. 😂

So, I'll assume you'll respect what's written (in bold) 😉 and regarding the advice about "complaining"—whether I choose to or not. Same goes for who cares or doesn't. Freedom of speech and thought are rights guaranteed to every citizen by the Constitution of the United States. 🥳
Most citizens "complain," so maybe there's some truth to all that whining. And everyone else probably shouldn't get involved,
but honestly, it's just 🙂 Typical for this part of the country. 🤣

Bye. 👋 🙂

Brian Edwards6 said:I'm sorry if you don't want to hear this, but...

kae? Are you tagging me? Geez, you already said that in your first post, so... yeah, I heard you. 😁

Like I said, I have enough self-confidence and faith. Can I talk about this freely? to my dirty laundry Before I start digging through someone else's business... isn't that just another sin?

Yeah, "exactly." ☕

Isn't it a bit much to focus on building grand monuments when you're turning to the news to beg for money just to transport sick kids to day care? And we’re doing this in the 21st century? Just so there's no confusion—and since you brought up the modern era—this is just a recent example. I'm not attacking my Church here. Regardless of the era we live in, we are still just human beings, old virtues and flaws included. At the end of the day, the Church is just our group. God is within every single person.

I just can't seem to find it in you. 🙂 I keep searching, and I keep looking. Honestly, the fact that I’m even bothering to reply to this digging is proof enough.
Judging people based on their personalities, running analyses on them, throwing insults, making baseless accusations... it's like déjà vu. I've lost count how many times I've seen this happen.
Going down a rabbit hole. 🙂

It’s all just a misunderstanding. Really. There are plenty of good people out there. But I rarely deal with people like that.

But then again, sometimes you end up working with people who are actually alright. 🙂

You completely misunderstood me. Actually, you understood me just fine. But you're generalizing. How would she come across? As a believer, a victim, or a martyr? It probably all boils down to how you view faith and gender. I never said that everyone who believes is blind. I believe too, after all. I've already tried to explain the difference a few times now.

**This part is bolded; don't just copy over the stuff about generalizations.** 😉 Leftover: whatever you want.
Pure imagination. In the end, you just get lost in the gap between what you actually said and what you meant to say. 🙄
The "differences"... and then there are your "explanations." 😍

Isn't faith, for instance, just an alternative to science? At least compared to what we consider valid today. It's the same thing if you travel to a place where people mostly worship nature spirits or shamans; then, Roman Catholicism becomes the alternative. You have to look at the bigger picture.

Hey there.👋

Bolded, yeah, that's quite the "bigger picture" you've got there, especially when talking about "fanatical Catholics." 🤣

Hi. 👋

Brian Edwards6 said:The issue isn't that one of us is confused. It’s just that we fundamentally disagree. Any connection between a church and God is something manufactured by the institution itself, designed primarily to serve its own interests. It functions exactly like a middleman in a retail transaction.

No, it’s fine. It only becomes an issue if the person who's confused...
He just doesn't want to listen—or maybe, more accurately, he simply can't. It's like he’s incapable of hearing anyone who actually has a bit of clarity.
Because they actually show up to class and put in the work. It’s a far cry from that one kid who just spends the whole time trying to flirt their way through the lesson.
If he’s out there marking players like that, then he might as well be trading stocks or acting as a middleman too. 🥳

We’re mostly on the same page here. But honestly, there are plenty of non-believers out there who seem to have more integrity than the people actually sitting in the pews, even if they don't live under the wing of the Mother Church. For some people, the Church was more like a stepmother than a mother. Forgive me if I keep bringing up the past, but I don't think forgiveness should ever be confused with forgetting—at least, it shouldn't be.

Yeah. 😁
It’s the 21st century. Can we please stop constantly pointing fingers at the Mother Church? 🤦
It’s always the same old story. Total déjà vu with this Religion PDF. 🙄

Isn't that exactly what exclusivity is? Just a way to strip away someone's freedom to choose?
Why couldn't you compare the two? In both cases, you're trying to heal the spirit with something you have to believe in. And honestly, both sides have just as much absolute proof—and just as many total charlatans—as the other. What's really the difference between the local Trade Fair and that summer Camp? So, those are just the ones close to us. If anyone knows anything about Islamic, Orthodox, or other faiths, please feel free to add to this. The goals, methods, and faith are all essentially the same—it’s just the name of the power that differs. Isn't that right?

No, it isn't. It’s just talking about what constitutes the Truth and what doesn't.
And now they want to present themselves as the Truth. At the end of the day, the freedom to choose remains.
Consider this a warning. Like those signs you see out on the highway. At the end of the day, everyone’s choice is their own.
Doing this while driving.
This part in bold, A huge difference. But that’s not really what we're talking about here. There's a PDF for Religion stuff if you need it.
Starting a new thread. 😁

I didn't say everyone was like that. It's just that others often turn a blind eye when their own brothers lose their way. And honestly, that has nothing to do with your faith. Blindness is pretty much common to most faiths. The same goes for the alternatives.

I wrote something once about how Americans who are Catholic tend to "practice their faith" in dive bars. It was meant to...
I should probably take another look at that post, but honestly, I just can't bring myself to do it.
Alright then, I guess we’re all just blind if we choose to believe. It's probably for the best that you finally see things our way.
You call it an "alternative" to blindness, huh? Hehe.
An alternative isn't faith; it’s just the opposite of it. It's a void that gets filled up with superstition. 😍

You just didn't get it.👎

No way. 🙂 Just some kind of mediation through an alternative illusion. 🤣
Hey there, Brian Edwards6. 👋

Brian Edwards6 said:So, if we don't believe in the Church, we don't believe in God either? I don't really get it. The Church has nothing to do with belief. It’s just there, visible with all its virtues and flaws. We can know about it without needing to believe.

It's not clear to you, right? Your text doesn't show how you see the connection between God,
faith, and the Church.
You can't separate God from the Church, nor the Church from God. If you did,
faith weakens; it just turns into tradition. You believe because you feel you have to "check the box."
After nurturing that kind of approach for a while, people eventually stop looking
for other "spheres or beliefs." Not everyone, but quite often.
There are plenty of examples, and many people here on Reddit write about this based on their own
experiences. There are all sorts of reasons why people leave.
Just read my previous post again; I explained my reasoning well enough.

The Church is both holy and sinful, made up of believers. Some live holy lives
right here on Earth, while others... well, not all of us do. Examples of holiness are declared Saints.
Ordinary people who strived to live holily within the embrace of the Mother Church. And they succeeded through heroic virtue. For instance, look at our contemporary, Holy Father John Paul II, whose beatification is expected soon. 🙂

Then why are we withholding it from others in the name of God?

Withholding what, and from whom? 🤷 Be specific.

Is the problem now that I'm a man? Aren't we all equal?
Besides, what does gender have to do with a discussion on a forum? I could be a ten-year-old kid (boy or girl, doesn't matter) leading you around by the nose, couldn't I? Of course, the reverse is also true.

You're just fooling yourself with posts like these, Brian, though you haven't realized it yet. 🤣 Fine, if you're a ten-year-old
kid, then I guess I'm Hillary Clinton. 😂 Or maybe I'm Inspector Kluzo, whatever. It won't affect me one bit,
hehe.

Isn't this often a key part of alternative medicine? Healing the spirit to heal the body? Don't you mention His name in vain?

You can't compare the healing provided by the Holy Spirit to alternative medicine. 🙂
In the Church, we know that alternative practices try desperately to mimic the Holy Spirit's
gift of healing. You see various "healers" acting as "examples."🙄
No, we're talking about different kinds of spirits, Brian Edwards6, not the Holy Spirit.
Got any more critiques regarding my questions? 😁 Don't worry about me. 🙂

Isn't that a mean thing to say? You don't believe? Unfortunately, that doesn't have anything to do with faith either. I wish you could join us for a night like that just once. I'm sure you'd help someone, and maybe even save a few souls. But your perspective would change. You wouldn't even realize how much.

No, it isn't nice to say because you're generalizing. It’s impossible that every American Catholic "practices their faith in baby bottles." Not to repeat what I already wrote in my previous comment on your post. That’s just my opinion, and you can keep insisting it has nothing to do with faith if you want. That's your opinion.
Since you're inviting me, thanks, I actually had the chance recently. Whether I helped or not, only those who were with me for safety reasons know. My perspective hasn't changed, though whether my heart might harden over time is a different story. And yes, it's hard. It's hard. Enough said.

What government? We're just people like us. And we're the majority in power, aren't we? Invoking "their" authority is basically just asking for martyrdom.

You didn't catch what I meant. I wasn't talking about invoking "their authority," but rather how many people invoke someone else's power and influence to justify doing things that aren't acceptable. In those cases, someone always ends up suffering, Brian Edwards6. The news columns and other media outlets are full of examples like that. I was speaking generally, not directly regarding
the specific topic of this thread.
But go ahead, keep telling your story about "invoking martyrdom." 😬

🙂

Brian Edwards6 said:I have a much better time hanging out on alternative sites.👍

Yeah, just keep right on entertaining us.

I think we had a misunderstanding. My theory is that if you truly believe in Him, God will give you enough self-confidence to actually achieve whatever it is you're striving for. I should clarify—I mean believing in Him, not necessarily in the Mother Church. To me, fanaticism is just constantly invoking His name and pounding your chest, claiming you're right simply because you're a believer, acting like some martyr that nobody else can understand.

You aren't being clear.
In Roman Catholicism, just like in the Orthodox Mother Church, the Mother Church is essentially a family of believers.
Believers come to celebrate Holy Mass on Sundays, and also on other days during the week.
For those who are able, if they truly desire to be in God's proximity. To be nourished by the Body of Christ.
To live.
And all those theories you have about fanaticism, chest-thumping, and talking about martyrdom... that's just... well.
Let's move this to the miscellaneous section. I feel like you don't really grasp what you're talking about when you mention believing in God versus... well, something else.
Mother Church. What does it even mean to "believe in Him, rather than in the Mother Church"?
It’s not just about believing in God. What matters is actually living in His proximity. Otherwise, what's the point?
People really love to push these theories that someone is just a fanatic, all because they actually choose to follow God's commandments.
There's this tension between the Church, which actually teaches and follows the teachings of Jesus Christ, and then there's everything else.
The believers who act that way.
Look, if you're going to call me some kind of martyr, you've got it wrong. That's just not happening anywhere.
I didn't write that. Besides, dear Brian Edwards6, not many people truly understood Jesus either, so it’s the same story.
A fanatic to some, right? Look, I’m not Jesus, but I am one of His followers. So, yeah...
A student isn't greater than the Teacher.

If we both turn the other cheek, then the whole point of doing it just disappears. You can't both be humble at the same time. 🤷

Why doesn't it make sense? It absolutely does. It’s just that, in this situation, you're asking me to be a little too humble.
And you wouldn't even look at your own, would you? You know, that's just being a little condescending toward others. Because honestly, nowhere else... just nowhere.
I haven't called anyone out for being humble. Not even you. Honestly, if someone acts that way, it says enough about them on its own.
Humility... if we’re actually going to talk about it, it’s really just about being honest with ourselves before God. It's that realization of who I truly am in His eyes.
To truly grasp something like that, you first have to look inward. You need to analyze yourself—really sit down and examine your own actions throughout life—and then move accordingly.
Living in His presence while being present for the people around you... that's the goal. But I've learned that being humble doesn't mean you just let people walk all over you until you're completely exhausted.
That’s just being a sycophant, not actually being humble. All those other "stories" about humility? It's just hypocrisy, plain and simple.

Like I said before, we’re all going to end up exactly where we belong eventually. And you know how that old saying goes: "Paradise might be beautiful, but hell is where the real party's at!"

Life turns out exactly how you choose it. God respects freedom of choice and doesn't withhold it from anyone, so what you ultimately decide... well, that's on you.

All we really do in these threads is analyze one another. Or maybe there’s some deeper purpose to all this? I've gone head-to-head with the mods before, just like I am with you now. Either way, I was in the minority. Or the majority—honestly, I can't tell anymore.

Look, Brian Edwards6, personally, I have no need to analyze you, let alone pick a fight. You were the one who jumped into my posts with all this analysis. Everything else is just me responding to that. And kae, why should I care if you've had clashes with the moderators? I'm not a mod. And I'm in the minority here, right? It's just you and me, 1:1. I could probably hold my own against you in a spiritual
duel, haha, if you actually tried to challenge a believing woman. It's strange how you didn't feel the need to clash with others in the threads where American men, Christian believers, discuss the moderation style of certain mods on
the Religion sub. 😉 Why don't you call them out for fanaticism when we're essentially saying the same thing? They don't understand them either—are they martyrs too, according to your theory? Honestly, Brian Edwards6, it's easier to pick on a woman, isn't it? 😍

I didn't express myself clearly enough. It's probably not a higher power speaking through me. If you were Muslim, an atheist (or whatever), it wouldn't matter. A fanatic is a fanatic. It really has nothing to do with an individual faith. Besides, every religion/faith has its own Truth in opposition to others, but when you strip them down to the bone, they are incredibly similar. It's funny. And sad.

Of course you didn't. What's driving you is obvious from your posts.
The aggression was there right from the start. That's enough for me.

I didn't say I felt condescended to; I said that you condescend to others. There's a big difference. And didn't you say that analyzing a conversation partner was forbidden? Or have you lost your sense of integrity too?

You're being vague again. Go back and read your response in that post one more time.
The analysis is yours; my response is mine.
As for integrity and who has lost what, that's your business, Brian Edwards6, as they might say
down in the Deep South.

We aren't understanding each other at all. I've been working for many years, so that isn't an issue for me. It's not about "holiday depression" (though it's funny how every state of mind has a name and a corresponding pill. Medical, religious, or alternative, it doesn't matter). My issue is having to walk through beer halls all night for a religious holiday where American Catholics practice their faith. Because of blood and vomit (not mine), I had to change clothes the next day. So, I suppose I've lost my sense of integrity too.

Strange. I don't understand you, and Alex Barnes8 doesn't understand you either—so are you not a martyr? 🤣
Holiday depression is medically proven, and therefore medications exist if someone needs them.
It's necessary. I'm talking about mainstream medicine because it matters where you
turn when you need help. The alternatives aren't recognized by official medical institutions, thank
God. 😁 And regarding a spiritual cure, well, Brian Edwards6, every illness starts in the spirit,
which then manifests physically. So, the saying isn't without reason: "A healthy spirit
in a healthy body." You have to be careful about what you do with your spirit and how you "feed" it.
😉
I truly understand that it can't be easy walking through bars and experiencing and surviving
the horrors that happen in certain places. I really do understand, and I am grateful
as a citizen for the sacrifice and courage you put into your job,
which contributes to all of our safety. 🙂 However, it isn't right to say that
"Americans who are Catholic practice their faith" in bars. Because not all Americans "practice
their faith in bars," "don't vomit or spill blood in bars," etc. Every single person
has a conscience, and they live their lives according to that conscience. Now, would someone
who is an active believer—meaning they attend Holy Mass, go to confession regularly,
and nourish themselves with the Body of Christ (not once a year, or once every ten years, or
for long stretches, just passing through church on holidays)—would they come into a bar
after Holy Mass and vomit on a cop or spill blood and call that "practicing faith"? .......
I don't believe that happens, Brian Edwards6.
Why? Because such a person is in
Jesus and with Jesus, already here on Earth; the Holy Spirit dwells within them. People like that
don't do those things. That’s why we need the Mother Church, that’s why we need faith in the teachings of the Church
and the receiving of the sacraments—it's precisely for that, and more. Jesus is peace,
and He gives His peace to those who receive Him with pure hearts (a person's inner self).
And Jesus says: "From an impure heart come out robbery, fighting, slander, shouting, sexual immorality,
divisions, thefts..." The heart (every person's conscience) is cleansed in confession.
That is what practicing faith means. If that isn't happening and people aren't coming to the Mother Church,
but instead they are just beating their chests and screaming whatever they want to scream, then you're just seeing what you experienced during the holidays.
Many people experience similar situations, though they aren't in a workplace like yours,
so maybe you can better understand their helplessness against those "power players." Those people up top, especially when
they start invoking the government. 🙄

Greetings to you too.

👋

rowdyhawk10 said:That isn't true!! He’s actually the one calling those who preach love without love (which is what the Cross = love) devils.

Uh,
it seems you're clearly and intentionally twisting the quote, specifically what FlashG actually said:

He didn't say: "those who preach love without love"
he said "anyone who preaches love WITHOUT THE CROSS" is Satan.

Here is the link to what he wrote:

If a goat lies, the horns don't lie. 🤷

When you claim the cross is some kind of love,
to me, it sounds like someone saying a guillotine is love to them.

Oh, right, my apologies—you used that same quote again, which is exactly why another user (FlashG) previously got a warning, and that's why you got one too. Simply put, neither you nor FlashG can say "anyone who preaches love without the cross is Satan". Christians don't have a monopoly on love. Buddhists preach love without the cross, Muslims do too, and everyone else does, so you can't go around calling 4/5 of humanity Satan. If I had warned FlashG but left you alone, then he would have said:"Why am I the only one who got a warning?!" We really ought to be fair and apply the rules consistently to everyone. Even if some Muslim individual had claimed that anyone preaching Love without the crescent and star is actually Satan, I suppose I would have handed them a red card as well. Best, 🙂
I wouldn't want to butt into your discussion, but I feel like responding here. Regardless of the cross,
it seems like you don't quite grasp what the Cross actually means. What was the Cross in Jesus's life
here in America? What is the Cross in any person's life? I can agree with you and
say that it can be a sort of guillotine—perhaps a spiritual guillotine for a person's heart
(their inner self). In Jesus's life, it was a crucified and pierced love,
piercing His heart (His inner self) and His body. In a person's life, the Cross is that crucified
and pierced love that person offers, doing everything out of love for their neighbors, their
households, close and distant family, friends, and even strangers, simply doing
good because their heart (inner self) is turned toward goodness; they love them.
Expecting nothing in return. Even those who aren't believers, who haven't
met God yet, can do this. And after being burned by various people they helped unknowingly,
they end up trampled, alone, abandoned, and exhausted. It is then that many encounter God through the Cross.
Only then do they realize that someone went before them—Jesus. Only then do many face Him, matching their own suffering and pain with His. That’s when they find the strength to keep going. That is rowdyhawk10's cross.

Oh, right, sorry—you're quoting that same point again which caused another user (FlashG) to get a warning previously, which led to you getting one too. Simply put, neither you nor FlashG can say "anyone who preaches love without the cross is Satan." Christians don't have a monopoly on love. Buddhists preach love without a cross, Muslims do, and everyone else does, so you can't just call 4/5 of humanity Satan. If I had given FlashG a warning but left you alone, he would have asked: "Why am I the only one getting a warning?!" We have to be fair and treat everyone the same. Even if a Muslim said that anyone preaching love without the crescent and star is Satan, I'd hand them a red card too. Regards. 🙂

Regarding the bolded part: of course, Christians don't have a monopoly on love. It's just that
those who live a crucified love might be the ones who truly understand the concept of love on the Cross.
Yet many people live that way in their lives, across all faiths and religions, and even among those
without faith. As I tried to explain above, Jesus says: "This is my commandment:
love one another as I have loved you! No one has greater love than this:
to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you." John 15:12-14.

What does it mean to "lay down one's life"? Many veterans laid down their lives in war so we could sit here typing,
not calculating when they fought for the country; they went out of love for their homeland and their people.
Mothers and fathers, for example, lay down their lives for their children, sacrificing themselves and their
many needs for the sake of their kids. Not out of calculation, but out of love. In the old days,
and even now, many live a Cross through the way their children give back to them. What is the comfort for those parents?
What provides comfort to the many parents who have lost their children to war, illness,
or various other tragedies? What truly offers solace to those who suffer? And so many people experience suffering
during certain chapters of their lives.
Human comfort is fleeting, but God's is constant and eternal. People tend to run away from those who are hurting,
so many of them do, but Jesus leans in toward the one who suffers and takes them into His own Hands.
He is the only one who can truly understand. And His Mother.
Who held Him in His Hands? His Mother did, both during His life and when they took Him down
from the Cross. From her, He learned about love from childhood, and He fulfilled and completed that journey on the Cross.

I think what FlashG and ruggedeagle10 were probably trying to say was just clumsily written.
In my opinion, they wanted to point toward the presence of love within the life of the Cross, and
that anyone who rejects the Cross and living in that kind of love—instead preaching some other
version of love—isn't really acting according to God's plan. The ungodly dishonor the Cross. On the Cross,
victory was won through love. And we know what the ungodly stand for; there is no
denial of anything God wants or where He is leading us.

You can see how much people love and who their role models are by the crosses they carry. It’s clear
who stood beneath Jesus's Cross: the Blessed Virgin Mary, John, and Mary Magdalene.
Sinlessness in the form of the Virgin, the priest in the form of the apostle, and the sinfulness washed clean by Blood
of a person in the form of Magdalene. Through experienced and recognized love, in the pain of empathy, they look
at Jesus—crucified without having committed a single sin—at the eyes of those who haven't yet experienced that Love.
That is why He went to the Cross, voluntarily, without calculation, so that many could experience Love and finally truly live.
If people crucified God in the likeness of Jesus and the form of a man, how could they not do the same to a person today?
They realized what they had done afterward; it’s the same way today. Many realize what they’ve done only after a person dies.
Many never realize it here on Earth, and many realize it only to act like Judas once before.
We could talk about this for ages, but here is a brief take on the Cross that causes you such doubt as a Christian.
Everyone carries some kind of suffering in life; no one is an exception, whether rich or poor, believers or
non-believers, religious or non-religious—it all depends on which side of the fence you sit on. It's similar to the two
thieves alongside Jesus on the Cross.
Best.

rowdyhawk10 said:Less spirit, more... well, whatever. But she actually said I’m going to be beaten with an iron Crucifix of Jesus that's measured in... kilograms 😢 And I will. forgetting Oh man, oh man, oh man... I just can't. Ouch. While Jesus Christ—who is, let’s be honest, God Himself and just overflowing with grace—is... He’ll probably end up getting beaten over the head with that heavy iron Crucifix of Jesus.

I wrote this part in bold. Where? Where did I ever say we were measuring in kilograms? And where was I...
So you're saying you'll "get your revenge"? Don't start making things up, rowdyhawk10. That's just what kids do when they're spinning fairy tales about some big bad villain.
Witches, right?
Still such a big kid, aren't you? 😂 So, one of your colleagues wrote that the other day, assuming you can actually read. Take another look at it.
That’s my post. You put the links in the quote block. Honestly, you need to slow down when reading so you don't skip over any letters.
Trying to wrap my head around what the writer was actually getting at here... hehe.

Hey there, Peter Stewart6.
If there’s any way to do it, I’d really prefer it if the punishment were spiritual rather than physical. 🙂

I’m neither good nor exactly an angel. My username actually means something else entirely.
Why are you asking me if I'm going to get penalized or not? That’s really not my lane. 😁
Anyway, the soul leaves the body when it returns to the Creator—you probably already know that. So, everything should go exactly the way you wanted.
It all depends on the spirit within a soul at the exact moment they leave their body.

That kind of forgiveness... it's heavy. It’s a lot to take in. 😁 It’s not exactly in the spirit of making wishes when I feel like a three-pound iron Crucifix of Jesus is being driven straight into my skull; honestly, my head is too soft to handle that kind of weight. 😍 If you could, please implore for me—maybe just in the name of the old days—a lighter sentence. Something like 1,000 Hail Marys. I know that number by heart.

Everything I write seems to rub you the wrong way, but honestly? You’re the one painting those dark pictures in your own head.
I chose them, in these texts.
And they have nothing to do with spirituality. The Crucifix of Jesus, being driven from above, iron nails piercing the skull? 😲
So, what are you even telling me? 😂
I've done enough praying for you, so you probably don't even need to recite the Our Father from memory.
Don't let yourself get worn out from praying too much. 🤣
All you can really do is try to understand that He is our Father. And because of that, you have to act accordingly.
moving toward His children.

P.S. 1.1. is the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is also recognized by Roman Catholicism as the International Day of Peace.

Brian Edwards6 said:I lurk on the religion subreddits, but I don't really jump in. I realized a long time ago that no matter what you say, the conversation always ends up veering off track. It happens on both sides, honestly. But if you know you're in the minority, you have to be ready for people to come at you and try to discredit you. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? Or are you calling on a higher power for that one, too?

Well, you certainly went on a bit there, haha.
A believer who truly lives out their faith is always searching for God's proximity. The word "invocation" is...
That’s just not how we practice within Roman Catholicism. That kind of thing belongs more in those alternative circles. lol

No, that’s exactly where you draw the line between faith and addiction. Or between true belief and fanaticism. At the end of the day, a Christian fanatic is just as bad as a Muslim one, a Jewish one, or honestly, you could even say an atheist fanatic.
What happened to the whole "turning the other cheek" thing? Isn't that just as important as all the other stuff you're always bringing up?

Based on your theory, you're saying we should lean on God's strength rather than just our own fanaticism.
Since you're quoting my post and talking about Roman Catholicism, I guess that's just how you see it.
It's not just about "theory" for me—it's how I live it. I’m a fanatic believer, through and through. Everything is just more beautiful than the last, haha.
Who's stopping you from turning the other cheek, Brian Edwards6? You're a believer too, aren't you? ;not sure:

No, you’re actually saying NO to others because of their faith or what they believe in. Honestly, that goes for most people when it comes to religion. Everyone loves to hide behind "science" and all that, but only when they're talking about other religions. As soon as someone brings up their own beliefs, they start foaming at the mouth. If someone holds a different opinion, let them. If they spit, insult, or belittle others, it doesn't really matter anyway. Everything is recorded, and everyone will eventually answer for their actions, right? Or are we just going to throw everyone into the same bucket and let God sort us out?

You again. you know What I’m saying and why I'm saying it. Great.
What's actually the point of your post? I honestly don't get it. Are you just talking nonsense at this point? rowdyhawk10:

Why are you being so polite?👎

Maybe if they just scattered some mimosa and cotton around, walking wouldn't be such a struggle, right? 😂

First you say they know exactly what they’re doing and that it's intentional, but now you're claiming they have no idea what they're doing.
I honestly think he probably knows. And you know, I know, and we all know it too.
Either we’re all just clueless together, or I honestly don't even know anymore.

Hey Brian Edwards6, Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." You can actually do that.
You can only truly understand through the Holy Spirit. Trying to force it by overthinking and straining your brain just hurts. It’s exhausting.
headache. ;teeth:

Isn't this just being condescending and looking down on people? Just because I don't agree with you, you immediately assume I'm part of some conspiracy against you or against Christians? Am I spreading my beliefs with fire and sword?

And what exactly counts as being condescending or patronizing? ;roll-eyes: You wrote yourself that
you aren't a practical believer, so why feel looked down upon? If that's how you feel,
then you're doing it to yourself, because that wasn't my intention.
It points to something else—something you're sweetly projecting onto me, something you mentioned earlier
about having huge self-confidence ;smile:

How could you possibly know what I'm thinking? ;clueless: Those are your own thoughts and insinuations that you
are trying to pass off as mine. No thanks, I won't be consuming that. ;D
Fire and sword? 🤣 Like I said before, you need the Holy Spirit to
understand the true meaning of those words, rather than taking them literally.

I like to remind those who take themselves too seriously that this isn't real life. Across all the sub-forums. This is just a forum. It implies discussion. I've clashed with plenty of users and mods for that very reason. Nothing unusual. Now you're next.

The bolded part refers to you. 😂
Because that's how you debate: "reminding people," "attempts at psychoanalysis and what everyone
thinks," insinuations about conspiracies, accusations of Catholic fanaticism, and other little
"details." ;roll-eyes:
How do you know how everyone perceives the forum? Maybe you clash with people
because you try to analyze how other users interpret things? And that's
not allowed, Brian Edwards6, according to the forum rules. That's probably why you've had issues with the mods. Because
users reported you via the red flag button, haha.

And that has nothing to do with your faith or any personal trait, except for fanaticism.
And now I'm feeling especially sensitive. Christmas mood. Since I worked the night shift on Christmas, that "mood" feels different to me and lowers my tolerance for fanaticism.

Not at all. 🤣 Fanaticism, and it has nothing to do with my faith? ;eek: And you think
you know my personality when you don't even know me? Are you supposed to be some psychic? 🤣
kae, you worked the night shift on Christmas? Well, someone has to do it; you're not alone. 😉 I'm sure you'll
get paid a bit extra for holiday work. ;lol:
Maybe have some mild tea, something relaxing, get some sleep, get some rest. ;teeth: That'll kick in during
the holidays for some people; in medicine, that sensitivity is called holiday depression.
That same "mood" lowers tolerance for all sorts of things, not just
"fanaticism." ;quirky: There are all kinds of fanatics out there today. 😁

But whatever. I know I won't get anywhere, so I just head out early. I don't want to be a bother too much.
In the end, everything works out how it's supposed to.👋 Best,

Oh, of course it doesn't matter. You've already judged yourself as incapable of succeeding,
which isn't right. Still, it's good that you leave quickly, so you don't get too worked up. ;mig:
Yeah, in the end, everything falls under God's control.
And greetings to you too; we had quite the fanatic little chat, Brian Edwards6. 🤣

Happy New Year. 👋

Brian Edwards6 said:Why is it always so defensive?🤷

If you had actually spent some time looking through that Religion PDF, then maybe you’d finally get why things are the way they are. Just saying.
I can't explain it anymore. Just come down here and see for yourself. Once you write it all out, after a little while, you'll finally get it.
I can't help but wonder how anyone could call being in this environment "beautiful." It’s just so "beautiful" that we ended up here.
A few people over at the Vatican are acting all defensive. 😁

I’m Catholic, too—even if I’m not exactly a practicing believer.Personally, I believe what I believe, and that’s enough for me. I have no problem respecting someone else's views. The difference is just that I actually have enough self-confidence to talk to people who don't see eye to eye with me without feeling like I'm automatically destined for hell. Plus, I can manage to resist the urge to immediately throw them onto a bonfire as some kind of heretic.😉

What’s written in bold says enough for the rest of your text. Do you really think I don't have respect?
Is it about someone else's beliefs, or is it just one of us here complaining? It feels like a lack of respect and...
That’s just a really ugly way to talk about the saints, especially toward those of us who actually believe and try our best to live by those values.
Practical believers... you know, Catholics. I honestly envy anyone who can carry that much self-confidence.
Honestly, I’ve reached a point where I trust God more than I trust myself. It's the only way. With Him, I feel like I can handle anything.
And that’s exactly where you see the gap between just being a believer and actually being a practicing believer.

Anyway, you've got three different examples right here that back this up, found in the other users' PDF regarding Religion in the Vatican.
As for all that talk about burning heretics at the stake—honestly, I’ll pass. It seems like you don't quite grasp what this is actually about. Or maybe you do.
It’s funny how people in these discussions always jump at the chance to hunt down heretics and start a holy war. LOL

Regarding what I said about the Good Pope, that was more of a personal opinion than actual advice. It’s too late for me to edit the post now—maybe some moderator can help me out?🙂).
(And as far as I know—though I could be wrong,) He really pushed for dialogue and coexistence, so......🤷
Basically, we all have to start with ourselves, don't we?👍

Yeah, thanks for sharing your take. Of course, Holy Father John Paul II was a huge advocate for this.
For the sake of coexistence, maybe it would be better if you stuck to the Religion threads.
Maybe then they'd finally get why I've always stood up for what I believe in—as someone who actually tries to live out my faith in a practical way.
And it's not just my own smallness. 😁 And how exactly were we blessed, spat upon, and accused?
Say, like from a moderator who claims to be all about "tolerance." Someone I was actually defending just because...
So, you talk about "dialogue and coexistence" (or whatever it is you claim to be explaining to me). But when it actually comes down to "dialogue and coexistence" in practice? It’s nothing more than getting slapped around and being called out.
Labeling me with "hate speech, religious intolerance, and fanaticism," among other "epithets." Such great "love."
Because, listen, Brian Edwards6, words have the power to kill a person's spirit. But, I forgive—just like the Good Pope did when he
walked into the cell of the man who tried to assassinate him right after the attack, practicing the forgiveness of Jesus:
"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." So, my heart remains free from whatever labels people try to stick on me.
Just like the signature of the Good Pope, there was an attempt to extinguish the spirit of Jesus in him. Because that signature represents
science divine love. I haven't "graduated" yet, but I am trying to learn, following the example of Jesus through the Good Pope (who is called
John XXIII, by the way). And it certainly applies to John Paul II as well.
Similarly, being good also means having the strength to say NO; that’s a sentiment expressed by Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI.
So, I am saying NO to the hate speech and religious intolerance being "served" to Catholics and everyone else
practicing their faith.

The moderator in question is trying to kill the spirit Christian on this forum through these posts, simply because he doesn't know what he's doing. And he isn't the only one.
If he knew better, he wouldn't be doing it.

And because of this kind of "tolerance," there are so many threads on the Vatican forum, not just now.
This "tolerance" has been going on for far too long. ;raspa:

Maybe he could start with himself, right? 😉 Because I did that a long time ago, and I still do.
I didn't start with you, unlike how I see you constantly coming at me. 🤣
It seems to me that until now, you weren't interested in my posts, but suddenly—interest, hehe.
Well, maybe this is just your path toward becoming a practical believer. 🙂

Did you answer?
Regarding my post (thread 8), please go back and look at your own post (thread 10). I ended that one with "...no comment" in response to your last message.
Factually speaking. Before you get banned!

I might just get myself all tangled up; lol. Honestly, she’d probably love that—to have me completely wound up and caught in her web—but it’s just not going to happen. Hehe.
Yeah, I did answer. No comment on your post. Just stating the facts before I get banned. And I didn't really want to get bogged down in all your "proofs." You gave me instructions. I'm posting this on the book complaint forum, which is exactly why I'm writing. No comment. You can see when I joined. But, I'm not going to comment on your old post here.
(I’m just commenting because I was the one who actually wrote it, haha) After a little while, "colleague rowdyhawk10" decides how things should be.
I probably should have been banned for a serious violation of the Book Complaint rules. And honestly, that’s exactly what happened—someone posted a comment on the same Book at 8:26 PM on December 23rd. But the thing is, I had already been banned at 8:00 PM that same day. Even before that...
I spent some time reading through your post on the Book Complaint page—the one that actually caused you to call me out here for "leaking" info...
I guess I just interpret things however works best for me. Honestly, that little jab is exactly why I went back to check—I saw both his post and yours.
And I ended up getting banned. So, you two basically played a little game of chess on my computer and checkmated me. That’s why I haven't been able to write anything for three days—because of the ban, you know?

And then, three days later, you suddenly decide to "discover" some new facts or parts of my post that you supposedly missed...🤣
Don't you ever actually go back and look at what you wrote?
Are you forgetting?
It’s not even necessary for you to stay chronologically consistent. In your little crusade, actual facts just don't seem to matter much to you anyway.

😉
Based on everything I’ve laid out above, I finally understand why it took me so long to realize this—and why my response was delayed. Honestly, Chris Peterson53, there is just so much more going on in my life right now that I have to manage.
I used to spend my time looking back at everything you wrote, or what "colleague rowdyhawk10" had to say. But fine, if you're really going to insist on this.
Just in time to weigh in. Here’s my take on this.
Regarding all that spam... usually, the people behind it are doing it with actual malice. Ahaa.

And I see it actually bothers you that we’re even responding to your accusations. To be clear, I'm not talking about you just repeating the word "insult" over and over—because those claims are obviously baseless.
It’s clear you’d rather we just don't do this. That pair in the canoe? That’s basically us—the two of us you can't seem to stop chasing. You just can't help mentioning us as a duo, which is why I keep speaking in the plural...😉🙂So, you’re still going to keep up this whole act, acting like you’re some endlessly "persecuted forum user."

Whatever you think you "see," just keep typing, whether you're acting alone or as a duo. 😂
The fact that you two operate as a "complementary pair dedicated to harassing forum users"
really says a lot about how "prepared" you are for a moderator role.
I only saw this on the thread today—it’s a very "fine" way to handle selection. Honestly, I don't feel like
digging through old posts to find specific examples of who said what, especially when things get ugly
and a lot of time has passed. But this is truly a "wonderful example" of the degradation
of both a person and a believer, especially when mentioning "viral infections." Therefore,
you are essentially acting against those who are "infected." , hmm, yeah.

http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=2...&postcount=157

So, thanks to No Nick for this link; he was right about certain
things regarding unfair moderation on the Religion book complaint pdf religion. It applied to
rowdyhawk10's moderation, and by choosing you as a moderator, you've quickly
started "delivering results" in the persecution of Catholics on this board. Even if it's just one person, that's enough "for someone."
By admitting that No Nick was right, as I stated, I am not saying that I support him or that
this was any kind of lobbying that rowdyhawk10 will immediately pull out of his "memory drawer." I write what I want, when I want, and as much as I want, without "consulting" anyone—which is just one of the favorite phrases of "colleague" rowdyhawk10.

Because making forum users look like fools, one by one, through the "moderation" you two perform,
will eventually come back to haunt you.
It might have seemed to some at the time that a user was just a "religious fanatic" or an idiot,
which is how you want to portray us. The proof is in the posts you brag about as being "loved" by Barmener,
Wild East, Baste, Matt, myself, etc. No, people are simply reacting to injustice; maybe that will become clearer to you. And it's good that it is this way, otherwise everyone would be too lukewarm, haha.

Since you've run out of actual facts, you resort to repeating what you've already written in countless long posts where you go on and on, constantly identifying yourself with the Catholic Church—that untouchable organization that any critic, regardless of their views, finds hard to "smear."

Just go with God, then enter the AD year with a Christian spirit: love, peace, tolerance!

And you owe me an apology!

Yeah, everything you say is spot on: the Catholic Church and my "identification with it." It sounds exhausting for you. Especially that bolded part, which you clearly lack. Listen, talk about tolerance. Just like "our colleague." 😂
Since when is God dear to you? If He is, then I should be dear to you too, so you can show me "love, peace, and tolerance"
without the exclamation point. Because I'm showing it to you, and to "our colleague" as well. 😁

Oh sure, I'm just trembling with excitement here, wondering how to apologize to you. Should I write it out in calligraphy on parchment? lol
Have a looooovely day, Chris Peterson53. 🙂

Nicholas King said:I was just playing around with that idea of "showing affection," following up on your comment, "Well, why don't you show me some affection then?"
Of course I knew what you meant. My reply was just a play on words. A joke. A bit of Scherzo.

And I took it exactly as intended. But clearly, someone else didn't. 🙄

I don't really follow the book complaint pdf religion stuff mentioned here; I just drop by occasionally for my own reasons. Regardless, here's a little unsolicited advice: try to relax a bit. Try to look at the brighter side of things and learn to separate the essentials from the trivialities in life. Your posts here seem so heavy with bitterness, dissatisfaction, and anger... Life is full of much more important and beautiful things than trying to enforce "justice" and principles within some completely virtual community. Even if you feel a drive to "fix the world"—and I'm not being sarcastic when I say that—there are many better and more productive ways to go about it.

This is a thread where people can file a book complaint, isn't it, lord? And that's exactly what
I do whenever there's a reason to. Since you don't follow the PDFs, as you put it,
you wouldn't even be able to see the reason. As for "fixing the world" and your unsolicited advice,
maybe you could share those with everyone who comes to the PŽK to complain—at least with those involved in the book complaint pdf religion. Apparently,
we're all overdoing it and chasing "justice." 🙂

It makes me sad to see someone so incredibly bitter—that kind of resentment just has to "spill over" into real life.

Bitterness? Resentment? I have no reason to "spill over," nor any thoughts
about anything "overflowing" into my actual life. 🤣 But thanks for the "concern" regarding how it
"just has to happen." If you say so. 😉 😂 🙂

The automatic server entries—the ones that moderators can't touch or influence—are pretty straightforward.

I don't have anything else to add. My point is clear. What I read...
That’s exactly what I was getting at. It was written plain as day: "you're obsessed."
What exactly counts as an "automatic server enrollment" and what doesn't? Honestly, I don't really care.
Don't change my nickname. My avatar is clearly visible right there. 🙂

It’s pretty obvious that the post you're claiming I wrote is actually just moderator stuff. If I had a magic wand, I’d use it to change things. Posted at 12:47 AM, link added at 12:57 AM. That entry hasn't been touched; it’s still exactly as it was. There aren't any other logs regarding edits because, well, nothing happened. The server automatically timestamps every single entry. There's just no way to input anything without the system logging the exact time it went in.

Where did I mention a "magic wand"? 🤷 If that’s really how it all works out...
If you're the one writing, then where exactly is that sentence I read? I think I just made that up.
So? And now you’ve come here to complain? It's like being back in kindergarten. 🤦

You posted your comment at 3:37 PM. You didn't mention anything was missing or point out any discrepancies within that ten-minute window after the post went up. And honestly, if you were actually hanging around reading during those ten minutes, who exactly are you persecuting?

Chris Peterson53, stop playing detective. I just wrote my comment and hit submit.
Send over what I wrote and how I read it, just so I can make sure it matches what you put in your post.
Of course I didn't mention that something was missing. I wasn't even looking for it.
In my second post. You're calling me out for changing your words and messing with your content.
It suits me just fine.
After you called me out like that, I went back to the book complaint.
I’m going to go back and read that post of yours again. I need to see exactly what I’m supposedly "missing." You called me out for "dropping words," after all.
Only then did I actually see what we’re talking about. It looks like some words are missing from your post. Or am I just imagining things?

Three days later, you "discover" that the post was edited after the fact. You're basically forcing a specific cause and an interpretation of some supposed insult onto it—even though there's absolutely nothing to back that up.

It wasn't three days later. It was actually right after your second post here. That's what I just...
I wrote that. I couldn't get a response in at the time because I was banned immediately right after.
Is that clearer? I also added some thoughts regarding the book complaint posted by your colleague rowdyhawk10.
Whose power is this? Who exactly is calling the shots? I guess that's just for everyone on the forum to figure out and see for themselves.
The way you two moderate the Religion sub-forum is pretty obvious. There’s more than one thread here on the PŽK that points to how biased and poor your moderation really is.
Of course, you aren't insulting me—you’re being very cultured in your speech. And don't even get me started on your "gentleness." ;rolleyes:

You're implying that I, as a mod—and by extension, all the moderators on this Forum—have the power to edit posts however we please! And that we actually do it!
Your claim that you aren't prone to lying because you're Catholic... in light of the facts, it just shows what I said in my last two posts: you're obsessed with moderator persecution. You're just deceiving yourself.

Chris Peterson53 is acting like she owns the place, constantly playing the mod card. We are talking about *your* moderation style.
"Oh, but" I'm totally obsessed with you; I can't even sleep if I don't see you on the Religion sub-forum, or see rowdyhawk10. 😂
My days are empty and filled with sorrow without your posts. ;rofl:
Hmm, I guess maybe some of these other users are also obsessed with persecution too.
They haven't figured out rowdyhawk10 yet, so they're still being fooled. But fine, let me be the first
to admit I'm deceiving myself. ;cool:

Regarding everything else you keep repeating, over and over... there isn't even any point in responding.

Right, because you're clearly so full of fresh ideas. Why respond then, if there's no point?
Just so you can prove that I'm always right, while you're the one lying, twisting things, deceiving, and planting ideas,
that I'm obsessed with moderator persecution (especially yours), and who knows what else. ;rolleyes:

I said what I said, but you interpreted it in whatever way suited you best.
Keep writing, then. As long as you're a forum user, you can write as long as you don't break the forum rules or post things where they don't belong, you'll be treated exactly like everyone else.
But you owe me an apology: you really do.
And honestly, it would be the Christian thing to do to apologize.

I understood it exactly as it was written: humiliating and rude.
And what exactly was I posting? 🤷 Bombs and explosives? Drugs? 🤣
Sure, you could say that, since the Catholic Church is unbearable to you—it's a total bombshell. Just like
it is to another moderator, haha.
Actually, *you* owe me decent behavior toward a user and respect
for my faith and the Church I belong to. You do. 😁 Because it's because of those same posts about
my faith that you started this war, acting as a mod. Before you got your mod status, you were
polite and kind, aside from one little outburst regarding my post—and that was before you had even
read what it was actually about. We cleared that up in the thread after you admitted
you hadn't read it.
All my posts have been about similar topics since you became a mod. About being a Roman Catholic.
So I don't get why you have such intense animosity now that you're a moderator.
Or maybe I do get it. :lampica:

It would be very Christian of you to apologize if you claim to be a believer. And you say you are.
So why should I apologize to you? I never insulted you with the same words you use against me; I only
cited them as "examples" of insults. Here it is again, over and over, just you repeating yourself and trying to prove a point.
I became what you decided I was. And honestly, I still feel like that's how you see me.

For the same reason, I have no idea where you stand regarding faith or religion. Not that I'm particularly interested in knowing.
That doesn't give you a free pass to smear the Church, insult me as a believer and a member of the Church, or attack me as a person and a user on this forum. Because, as nicole2007 put it: "The biggest crime on this forum is being an
Catholic believer." ☕ Following that logic, I find myself agreeing with Matt, Wild East, and Bast
when they talk about the unfair moderation here—not to mention everyone else who left the Religion PDF because of it.
It isn't lobbying; it’s just a sad reality, as Wild East mentioned over on the PŽK thread. The book complaint pdf religion
Religion says enough, and these few threads right here say plenty too.
