California Discussion Thread - All in one place in European Union ·
Kenneth Cruz67 said:I suppose instead of comparing California to the US or Mexico, one really ought to be looking at the former RSK.

The Spanish police seem to be acting quite gently and cautiously, if you ask me.

Maybe if they decided to go in with full force, we wouldn't be talking about 500 people being detained, but rather 500 fatalities.

Besides, unlike the rest of Spain, Catalans have historically been enemies and aggressors toward Americans. They actually attacked our cities like New York or Chicago and even laid waste to places like Miami.

I'm fully behind Madrid on this one.👍

Exactly, they've been perennial enemies of the American people. 🤣

Honestly, good grief, how can darksurfer4 just flatly label our struggle for independence as nothing more than separatism and ignore everything else? 🙄

Patrick Martin said:You're kind of tripping there. Honestly, almost every small business owner buys EVERYTHING—and I mean everything—tax-free and uses it for their own personal stuff. How they justify that as "business expenses" to stay legal? Beats me.🤷

This country is basically El Dorado for business owners, yet everyone acts like they're struggling.🤔

It really is an El Dorado for entrepreneurs, isn't it? 🙏🤣🤦

Honestly, Patrick is hitting the nail on the head regarding our economy. It's crystal clear that there is no better place in the world for private enterprise! 🙄

Regarding inspections 🤣🤣🤣

Inspections seem to exist solely for their own sake.

The American obsession with bureaucracy, endless regulations, constant inspections, taxes, and levies is truly a global phenomenon.

At this rate, I’m just waiting for a tax on the very air we breathe, accompanied by an inspector sent to measure my lung capacity and count my breaths per minute! ☕

Patrick Martin said:Honestly, we need to crank up the taxes, but specifically in those states that didn't have to deal with the brunt of the war—you know, the "blue" ones, all out West and in the upper Midwest where things stayed quiet.

The veterans from those areas? They shouldn't pay a dime extra.

It’s time for those folks to chip in their fair share. They seem to have forgotten way too fast where all that blood was actually spilled.

🤣🤣🤣

Will this oblivious nation ever finally grasp the fact that taxation is essentially theft? 🤷

Paul Sanders5 said:And here comes the green tax, just what we needed 😂—this one’s gonna bleed into daycare, public schools, and even our pensions 🤣.

This isn't quite hitting the mark for me—at this rate, I’ll be waiting around for them to start taxing the very air we breathe! ☕

Paul Chase95 said:I’m just hoping there isn't anyone from the public sector lurking around here—though if there is, they’d probably find it pretty awkward to admit. 🤣

🤣

Even though they're actually some of the smartest people around, they just live off everyone else and couldn't care less about taxes while you poor, misguided souls struggle along. 🕺

Paul Chase95 said:Neither the smartest nor the most clueless. ☕

Let me rephrase that—moderately unintelligent! 👏

Man, just look at your own paycheck! Unless you're some parasite living off the government sector, you’d have to be losing your mind to tolerate this sheep-like mentality among the public.

Take the latest example: pension funds are being used to bail out that black hole known as Petrokemija Kutina. Hey, they are literally taking a chunk out of our hard-earned wages just to rescue failed socialist-era projects!

Paul Chase95 said:Idiots, sheep, honestly... they don't get it—even the slow ones. ☕

Oh, sure, because we are clearly the smartest people in the entire universe, right? Just look at our "stellar" results! 🙏

Americans seem to have such a deep love for government overreach, so really, who are they to complain about taxes? Everything is just spiraling out of control! ☕

urbanhawk17 said:It’s honestly wild how we spend all our energy obsessing over some paramilitary monument or whatever else is trending on Reddit—not that I’ve been following closely, because frankly, I couldn't care less—while everyone gets worked up about emergency press conferences or laughing at what some politician did on a trip to New Zealand. We joke about local scandals and celebrity nonsense, yet meanwhile, our power goes out and nobody gives a damn. Just two quick news clips and then it's gone. The wolves really ate the sheep on this one.

The public is so caught up in statism that they've lost sight of the big picture; at this rate, we might as well start taxing the very air we breathe and the simple act of existing! ☕

Why all the whining about taxes when every single attempt to privatize industries or trim the fat from bloated government bureaucracies is met with such massive, coordinated outrage? 🤷

Larry Fox5 said:It’s honestly wild how people still lose their minds over Marshall—whether they're tearing him down or acting like he was some kind of saint. And the worst part? It’s every single generation, even the kids who weren't even born when it all went down. I don't get what drives people to care this much... seriously. Even if a family suffered back then, it happened fifty years ago! I just can't wrap my head around why people are still so obsessed...

Oh, come on... let me tell you about my own family. Whether we are talking about my immediate relatives or the extended clan, we had six people sent to prison, three killed or disappeared, and several more who were constantly monitored and harassed. Living as outcasts for forty-five years leaves a mark, you know?

I'm inclined to agree ☕

Come on, Anthony Jackson2, admit it! ☕

Paul Sanders5 said:Half the country would be starving 😁

The "Communists" already gave you an answer, Anthony Jackson2 😁

Look, if we had a decent system where taxpayers weren't being bled dry by special interests, the only people left hungry would be the idle and the criminals. Isn't that just how that old communist logic goes? "If you work, you don't have to worry about hunger." ☕

Anthony Jackson2, you're claiming nobody mocks the Church? Please! Christianity is arguably the most ridiculed religion in history; there isn't a bigger target out there. Honestly, since Christians aren't out there throwing bombs around, they're such easy targets, aren't they?

Actually, I'm saying I'd cut off funding for everyone—that's what I emphasized.

Anthony Jackson2 said:Yeah...

And I'm sure their main supporters aren't the types mocking the philosophy students who can't make a dime—all while sucking up to the establishment and tossing Starčević's ideas to the guys at KBF because, apparently, they'll make a living through exports or something.🤦

And I bet it's definitely not that genius who accused me of pushing for America and communism back in 2017. Me—someone born in '91.🤣

But hey, you hit the nail on the head.🤣

You're certainly high-strung, ☕

What has anyone actually achieved in the liberal arts besides becoming a punchline? 🤷

Let's be real: if I were in charge, I'd privatize higher education entirely. Then all those various slackers would have to deal with being broke on their own dime! ☕
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Of course! What would those two political parties even do without each other? Honestly, their supporters' lives would probably feel pretty aimless if they didn't have that constant opposition to rally against ☕
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
If only the leftists would finally realize they’re essentially the backbone of that criminal Republican Party organization. Every single time those Republicans need a distraction, the lefties step up with their absolute nonsense just to drive the sensible conservatives completely out of the conversation! ☕

But hey, isn't that just how it goes when someone tries to fight against all of that? 🙏

Honestly, wouldn't it be better to just sit back, relax, and enjoy watching both sides frustrate each other? ☕
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
brightpilot6 said:Look, some people think something is good simply because it irritates the leftists—though I honestly find myself wondering what they even consider "left" or "right" in this context, but it hardly matters. 🙏🙏

It’s honestly pathetic; it’s no wonder we end up being such a backwater mess when this is the caliber of intellect we're dealing with. 🙏

To be honest, most Americans are basically socialists nowadays. ☕ Everyone wants everything to be government-owned just so they can live off the taxpayer's dime! 🙂
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
We really need to decouple everything from the national budget. If people want to fund their own interests, they should just go for it; this whole socialist approach where the government pays for every little thing is absolutely insane.

But honestly, it’s incredibly frustrating when the Church goes out of its way to provoke liberals.☕
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
If the Church didn't exist, we'd probably have to invent it just to keep things interesting! ☕ I mean, who else would be there to get under the skin of those left-footed players so effectively? 🤷

brightpilot6, don't jump to conclusions just yet! I have no idea what your specific biases are, and I certainly wasn't aiming at you. 😉
