Seriously, when you see how she acts—just totally worked up and aggressive for no reason—it honestly kills any motivation I had to even send out a package. 👎 It’s a good thing there are only two, otherwise, I’d be losing my mind trying to deal with the second one too. 😁 Anyway, thanks for getting back to me. 😉
Look, I get all that, but honestly, every single time I go to drop off a package, some lady at the USPS counter finds a way to charge me way more than what their own website quoted me. That’s exactly why I’m asking 🤷
I was just wondering how much shipping would actually run if I sent off a package weighing just under two pounds? Has anyone here ever dealt with something that heavy before? According to the USPS website, it should be about $5.50 but honestly, I feel like some lady at the counter is just going to make up her own rules and charge me triple for no reason 👎 Anyone have any idea? 🙂
I'm scrolling through some reviews and noticing you guys aren't saying much about Antenat, who I actually thought were 👍 why the hell are you all being so negative?
And what's the deal with NERD not throwing those glow sticks back? Pretty sure they did, because that rapper guy was looking absolutely livid at me since he didn't get a single 😁
Just dropping in to say that was freaking incredible. I was expecting a decent vibe and all that, but honestly, it blew my mind. Everything was amazing, except for the prices—holy crap, they were steep, but hey, I guess someone’s gotta make a buck, right? 😁 I mainly went to see Lily, FFa, and Moby, but I have to tell you, I was totally blown away by everything else I saw too. I pretty much caught almost every set 😁 The only thing that sucked was that drunk crowd at FFa, just shoving their way through everyone trying to get closer (+ some annoying, huge lady who clearly used me as a human armrest -.-) But other than that—ABSOLUTELY EPIC! I am definitely going again next year 😬
trrrr let's gooooo! 😬 If I don't get a chance to see Lily, I'm actually gonna lose it! For those of you heading out, do me a favor and keep her around for a bit 😬
Gary Baker3 said:So, look, I basically bought these tickets just because Moby is on the lineup. Honestly, half the other artists on this bill? Never even heard of them. But since I’m already gonna be there, it feels like a total waste if I don't hit up some of the other sets too. Can anyone give me the lowdown on which songs are actually worth seeing? Like, what are the absolute must-play hits that they're definitely gonna blast? Help a guy out. Lily Allen, FFKraftwerk, YYY, Editors, even NERD... man, if I could just get them all in one room, I’d personally teach them how to actually sing. Seriously. And honestly? If you’re looking to branch out beyond that circle, you might as well start listening to some other artists too—it’s definitely worth the effort.
I'm guessing Lily will be there. Smile, LDN, Littlest things, Fuck you, The Fear, not fair.. Man, if you actually took a page out of Ferdinand's book and studied the legends, you might actually stand a chance. 👍
Just wanted to vent about this super sketchy experience I had 👎 So, I’ve been shipping out packages for a while now because I have tons of clothes to get rid of, so some girls have been ordering from me (shoutout to them, though!) and the shipping is always usually $5.00. I pack everything in envelopes so there’s no way it could weigh more than it does. But I sent a package to this one girl recently and she tells me the shipping was $7.00. Naturally, I asked her how and why, since it’s always been $5.00 until now—like, why is it suddenly 21 bucks? She just told me she had no clue and that's that, wouldn't budge. I don't know if that's even fair or legit, but the whole thing feels incredibly weird and confusing 😕 Is it even possible to pull something like that? Like, is she just pocketing the extra cash for herself or what? 👎
😲 man, I honestly thought I was just the only weirdo out there 😁 I remember this being such a massive thing for me when I was younger. Every single time I’d try to lay down, it felt like some heavy-ass vase was gonna swallow me whole or a giant textbook was about to crush me under all its weight. It doesn't hit me quite as often anymore, but yeah, it still flares up maybe twice a year. It’s like everything is shifting—one second it feels super close, then suddenly it's miles away. One minute it’s tiny, the next it’s huge. Sometimes you feel like you’re touching it, and other times it feels like it’s reaching out to touch *you*. You feel high up, and then boom, you start falling. It’s freaking terrifying 😢
rowdybadger65 said:Look, I can tell you to go see an OB-GYN, but honestly, that's pretty obvious, babe. I’ve passed out from pain more times than I can count. Usually, I just pop two Advil on the first day and another two the next, and I swear it almost always does the trick. It is what it is. When you're feeling like crap, just rest, skip school, eat tons of fruit... yeah, that's about all I got for you.
So look, 😁 I’m 16 right now [turning 17 soon] and my period has been absolutely brutal for the last 3 or 4 months. It used to be that my stomach would cramp up, but it would only last a few hours and then die down. But lately? The pain just won't quit. It stays with me for like two whole days straight. Today was especially bad—I literally threw up everything I ate. 😢 I know all the basics, okay? I know about Advil, I know about using a heating pad... I spend my entire day just lying around or pacing the house with the damn thing, but honestly, it barely helps at all. What am I supposed to do? My mom keeps telling me it’s no big deal and that it’s just part of growing up... but I don't know, I feel like what I'm going through isn't exactly "normal." 🤷
That movie was absolutely incredible. I just finished watching it and wow, just wow. It’s not some heavy-handed war drama like most American films usually are. The soundtrack? Killer. And the cast? Hands down the best of the best. As if! 🙏🙏🙏 I actually found myself laughing out loud too. Bo and Zlajf. 😂 🙏
Donna Murphy3 said:Look, this is a forum, right? So I figure I can say what I want and defend my take however I damn well please... It’s not a sin to have an opinion, but honestly, it's just lame. That one argument keeps coming up over and over—that we "celebrate" it just because it isn't a normal day... Give me a break. Every single night out or party I have with my crew feels special, but maybe you guys just don't have the guts to show up in public on a totally regular Tuesday dressed in 80s gear... and call THAT a special occasion... Maybe I am thick-headed and stupid and obnoxious and whatever else you want to call me, but at least I actually have a backbone. I don't just follow the crowd, and I sure as hell don't need that Halloween crap to find a different way to have fun like you guys keep talking about. And if you love dressing up so much, people, just go to a masquerade ball... But hey, leave me alone, I'm just "stupid" and "thick-headed," right? Whatever... While you lot are spending next Friday just hanging out at Central Park like it's any other day, I’ll be at a friend's place for a private party—theme: pink party!
I'm not gonna apologize for being wrong, otherwise later on everyone would be acting like they didn't know...
Jessica Chavez85 said:I honestly didn't think people this clueless even knew how to use the internet, let alone hang out on forums. Look, you clearly don't get Donna Murphy3—we dress up in black, witches, vampires... Look, when I was younger, I wore WHITE. 🤣 You have zero clue. And seriously, just read the damn posts already; it’s like you can't wrap your head around the fact that Halloween isn't some religious holiday we celebrate. We aren't honoring some saint, or the USA, or the dead rising from their graves or whatever—it's just an excuse to go out looking different for once. Plus, I don't get why people act like there's a big buildup BEFORE Halloween. Like, if we weren't born during some specific holiday, why would it be stupid not to celebrate it? You sound like a total old lady, and yet, here you are using the internet.. 🤔
Donna Murphy3 said:I don't even go out for Halloween... I just see all the madness when I'm commuting to and from work... But whatever, man... Not gonna get into an argument with you... Besides, why don't you tell me what you were even doing back before Halloween became such a huge deal over here? What was your big plans on that day? Look, everyone's got their own thing... You think I'm a moron, I think you're one too, so we're even...
Back when Halloween wasn't some massive craze in the States and most of us barely knew what it even was, I didn't do anything special. Just spent the day like any other boring day, but once people started getting hyped about it, that regular old day turned into something way bigger than just your average Tuesday 😉Whatever, man, at least it's not just some mindless, repetitive day like it used to be.. yeah right.
Donna Murphy3 said:Sure, it’s the day before All Saints'... but I still find the whole thing revolting. I’m sticking to my guns—those days should be dedicated to honoring our departed loved ones. At least show them some respect during that time. And look, if you don't believe in God or listen to priests, then just don't talk trash about them, at least not here. Everyone has their own views; if I listen to priests and believe in God, that's my business. Just like how it's your business to dress up as some stupid witch or vampire for Halloween... whatever. It's totally your call. All I'm saying is the whole thing is pointless, and if people have a decent social life, they shouldn't need Halloween just to have a little fun like you claim... Honestly, I couldn't care less about you guys. Go ahead, enjoy yourselves and make fools of yourselves all over town, see if I care...
It’s not even that I don't believe in God, it's that I don't trust priests. But whatever, that's not even the point right now. I gotta ask though—you spend all this time acting like you actually give a damn about us, and then you wrap it all up by calling us idiots?! Give me a break. If we're such morons, then don't even bother looking our way. Seriously, if you're so "superior," why don't you just stay inside on Halloween and convince yourself you're the smartest person ever while the rest of us are "fools" just because we actually know how to live a little and look beyond our own noses? Pfft! ☕
Donna Murphy3 said:There’s a ton of stuff wrong with this, mostly that everyone dresses up like total morons. You paint your faces black and all that nonsense—it’s not like you're just looking a bit messy on the streets, you look like a straight-up DISASTER! Honestly, seeing everyone dressed like that feels like I’ve walked right into the ninth circle of hell... Witches, Draculas, vampires, and all that crap... Whatever, old lady, if you and your crowd want to play dress-up, go ahead... Americans don't do "masquerades"... Ugh, wait, I forgot... Masquerades are for kids... Fine then... Go ahead and be idiots and dress like complete losers on a day when we should actually be thinking about our loved ones who passed, instead of getting wasted in some suffocating disco.... You should have at least a little respect for the dead; they deserve that much.... And the priest knows exactly what he's talking about, better than you know anything you're blathering about here—if you actually listened for once, you'd realize the priest isn't just talking nonsense...
Man, give me a break. We dress up because we actually enjoy it, not because it's some thing imported from overseas. Why can't we just have fun in a slightly different way? And if you didn't know, Halloween isn't even on All Saints' Day, it's the night before. But whatever, I can't stand people who are this narrow-minded, so I'm not gonna waste my breath trying to educate you. And the priest was right, priests are always right... yeah, yeah, yeah... 🙄
Look, I absolutely love Halloween and I honestly don't give a damn what anyone else thinks about it. Honestly, the only thing stuck in my head is some priest rambling on about stuff he clearly doesn't understand—as if he has any right to lecture me. Please, just get over it. Halloween isn't some sacred holiday. It’s just a day, plain and simple, where you get to dress up and actually have a good time. All this nonsense about how it's "just like something from America" and why that's bad... give me a break. Look at the US compared to us. How much have they really influenced us versus how much we've given them? Anyway, I won't ramble on too long... but seriously, there's nothing wrong with it. Ha!
Megan Reed said:I honestly don't get why everyone is freaking out so much... 🙄 if someone wants to celebrate it, let them. Most people just see it as a chance to go out, have a blast, and mess around.
Are we really about to start the whole " Harry Potter is a satanic book ruining our innocent Catholic youth" thing now? 😈 Because if that's the case, the religion subforum is looking a little wilder than I thought.
I don't see anyone losing their minds over, say, Saint Patrick's Day, even though that isn't exactly a core tradition here either. People dress up, head out to grab drinks, and nobody complains. ☕
