Noah Hall98 said:I’ve always just had a soft spot for him. I mean, he played with Queens of the Stone Age and actually wrote "Hangin' Tree," he was even the fourth guy in Them Crooked Vultures, and he toured with PJ Harvey at Coachella. This solo stuff he's doing now? It’s clearly just him playing for his own pleasure.

Oh, I had no idea! Based on everyone he's worked with, I really should give this a shot. Thanks for the tip! 🙂

Noah Hall98 said:Is the song actually great? I mean, sure, it’s fantastic. But if you really want my two cents, I’d argue its brilliance comes more from John than from Patton. 😉

Patton might be taking a backseat here, I'll give you that. But even so, I'm still convinced his influence left its mark on the final product. 🙂
Well, when you tell me that John is actually any good, I find myself being much more willing to listen to your other recommendations too! 😉

I honestly couldn't believe myself last night. I started out just mesmerized by the sheer phenomenon of his vocals, and before I knew it, it was 4:00 AM and I was still down the rabbit hole watching this man work. He’s just completely out of this world. 🤣 An absolute genius. 😍
In case you haven't stumbled upon this yet, it doesn't sound half bad—it actually comes out of the Ipecac label, and if I recall correctly, it's a relatively recent release.

I’m right there with you. 😍
I've been dreaming about seeing The Black Keys or Florence + The Machine too... it would honestly be such a dream 🙂
The Hangover Part II in Movies ·
If I were fifteen again, this would easily be my favorite comedy. That’s saying something, because I’ve spent a massive amount of my life watching countless movies and series—I've seen just about everything there is to see. Honestly, if people hadn't built up such an enormous amount of hype around this film, my expectations might have been a little more grounded, but that's just how it goes sometimes.Galifianakis It feels like they’re just recycling beats from the first and second movies at this point. Honestly, I’ve always found that his sketches are much funnier than his actual film roles; it’s the exact same story with Ken Jeong. I find watching one of his standard interviews way more hilarious than his characters in these movies. Still, even if I thought both films were a bit underwhelming, you have to give them credit for finally moving on. Zach Galifianakis As for Ken Jeong, he’s enjoyed a certain level of relative anonymity, which has actually given him the freedom to really spread his wings and branch out into various other projects.

I’m sorry, but I just had to... Zach Galifianakis 🙂

Well, I suppose I'll jump back into this discussion... I ended up watching it because my boyfriend is absolutely obsessed with the movie. He basically insisted that we sit down and watch it together—multiple times, actually. 😬Honestly, the film was quite charming; it actually gave me a good laugh. 🙂 I’ll definitely be heading to the theater to see the second installment, but I have to admit, I’m feeling extremely skeptical. Most sequels tend to follow a predictable pattern—they just end up being a massive disappointment. I really hope this one breaks that trend and proves me wrong, though. 🙂 I'll take a look, and then I'll let you know my thoughts. 😉
Arthur Garcia59 said:It started off strong with AF, G, and TV on the Radio, but then things just kind of slid downhill once The Streets hit the stage, eventually bottoming out completely with Jamiroquai, Cypress Hill, and—Gentleman? Gentleman? wtf is Gentleman?

I was really banking on this being a massive festival this year, especially since I thought they’d make up for last year's lineup. What a letdown.

Personally, I'm heading out specifically for The Streets😉 and, of course, for Nick Cave. 😍

Arthur Anderson45 said:So, here’s my situation: I’m 20 years old and living in a pretty small town. I’ve always been someone with a ton of different interests—I’d call myself a bit of a Renaissance man, honestly—but the people I hang out with my age are just... well, they're kind of dim.
Like, when we go out, the conversation is nothing but mindless nonsense. It’s all just gossip, you know? "Did you hear what he said?" or "Where was she at what time?" It's just empty chatter that a driven young person wouldn't care about for a second.
To give you an idea of how shallow things get: if I asked any of them who Sigmund Freud was, they'd stare at me blankly. Honestly, most of them probably wouldn't even recognize Led Zeppelin unless I spelled it out for them! You might be wondering, "Man, where on earth do you live?" but it’s the truth. I can’t remember a single time I actually learned anything useful from hanging out with them.
The saddest part? They don't seem to have any drive at all. They just drift through life. From the day they were born until now, they haven't really grown or progressed even 5%. Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad kids, but they just have zero curiosity about the world.
So, I wanted to ask you guys: how do you spend time with your friends? Do you actually get into deep, meaningful conversations, or does everything just boil down to constant joking and teasing?
Sorry if this isn't quite the right place for this topic!

Don't worry, a huge chunk of them are right there in Washington, D.C., too.😉
I used to feel exactly the same way before I eventually just had to let go of it all; I actually shed tears over it, which isn't like me at all. It is a sad reality, I suppose, but that's their life. If they are perfectly content living without interest in the world, then that's on them, isn't it? 🤷
Personally, I can't go a single day without scanning the news (or at least checking a few headlines online to see what's happening), whereas most of them only seem concerned with where the party is on Saturday night and how much they can drink. To me, I'd honestly rather sleep through a Saturday than spend it doing that.🤣
Well, what can you do?🙂
slyfox44 said:I have to say, I’m not entirely comfortable with the direction this is heading...🤷 To be perfectly honest, the lineup this year doesn't even come close to last year's. It’s nowhere near the caliber we saw previously.☕

To be perfectly honest, Nick Cave is the only artist on this year's Coachella lineup that I would truly love to see live. However, when I look at the rest of the roster, there just isn't enough draw for me to justify the cost of the trip. It feels like they really missed the mark with the programming this time around. ☕
