So about two weeks ago at Chase... My dad was all like, "Hey, just be nice to the teller, don't be rude" (I only went because they lowered my overdraft limit due to some pregnancy fee nonsense). And since I wasn't even listening to him, I totally snapped at him... like, why is he lecturing me on how to talk to some lady at the bank 🙄
Nicholas Doyle91 said:So, I had this little win today—I actually got caught by a transit officer on the subway, but instead of slapping me with a ticket, she just let it slide! She told me to just take the money and put it toward my baby, and then, of course, she ended up giving me the whole life story about her family 😁
Wild... usually those officers with the heavy satchels don't mess around at all 😉 plus, if we let everyone ride for free, the city budget would just tank 🥳...
Frank Morales6 said:this is absolute peak chaos👎 did anyone else in the store say anything? whether she was crazy or not, I don't think she would have fared well
Nah, just her and me in there. Even the lady behind the deli counter froze up just watching... then once I moved away, she still had to listen to that woman ranting. Like, did you see how she was acting? Making comments about my size and pushing past me... unbelievable. Honestly, walking around town now, I've got this constant anxiety that some idiot's gonna charge at my stomach, and then I go into a shop and everything just goes south.
miana2 said:omg, I can't even... what part? Such a total moron 😠 just zero class, was she blind or something???
Nah, she wasn't blind, just crazy. Or like how my mother-in-law would put it, she’s just not all there. Honestly, my husband was just staring at me while I was venting... he's so naive, still thinks everyone treats pregnant women like royalty...
Ugh, let me tell you about this absolute nightmare at the grocery store yesterday. My husband was busy watching a movie, so I just popped out real quick to grab some chips and crackers. I grabbed what I needed, but then I had to squeeze past the deli section, and the aisle was tiny because Diana had stocked it way too full. There’s this lady standing there waiting for her ham, so I politely asked if she could move just a bit so I could pass. And this woman—I kid you not—looks at me and goes, "Fine, I'll move, but look how 😲." Excuse me?!?!? Like, seriously? Will you please just step aside? Instead of being decent, she swings her backpack right at me and hits me in the stomach. Honestly, I can't even write down what I screamed at her without needing a drink, but let's just say I shoved both her and that bag right back... man, I was actually shaking. I mean, how much of an idiot do you have to be to act like that? Commenting on my size (when I'm literally due to give birth this month!) and then swinging a bag at me? If she had said anything after I shoved her away, I think my baby would've ended up being born in a county jail. Just thinking about it makes me so mad again, which is why I didn't want to post this, but I just couldn't let it go. Lady, rot in hell :2up:
EDIT: My husband won't even let me go back to the store now.
I honestly can't believe how much the cellulite caught me off guard during pregnancy. I’ve always been a curvy girl and never really had an issue—maybe just a tiny bit on my eyelids if I’m being picky—so I figured, hey, at least I won't have to stress about it once the baby arrives, right? Yeah, right. It can always get way worse 😲 Now my legs look like two bumpy tree trunks... they're all swollen and just covered in this crap, totally lost their shape 🙂

Now I’m just waiting three days for him to bring over a dresser and a crib from his mom’s place—I figured that would be easier...😠 Now I’m just sitting here losing my mind...
They’re so laid back, it makes me want to roll him up in one of those rugs and toss him down the stairs. I just told mine, either you scrub this stuff before the weekend or it's going straight to the curb, whatever works for you ☕ Gonna go grab some fruit and try to chill, haven't even eaten today because I'm so worked up.
cosmicviper21 said:Honestly, it drives me absolutely insane how sensitive I am about every little thing, like, I can just burst into tears out of nowhere and then I’m stuck feeling all awkward because everyone is staring at me like I'm some kind of 😕 And don't even get me started on my inability to pick an outfit, because I seriously need like thirty minutes just to piece together something halfway decent to wear 😲 😲 😲
I second this word for word. Honestly, today has been such a rough one since the second I woke up. My husband is driving me crazy because he doesn't get why I'm stressing about the house being spotless before guests arrive, and then he calls me out on it and I end up sobbing like a total mess. Like, I tell him the kids shouldn't come over if the carpets aren't even cleaned, and he’s just like, "Babe, they won't even notice for the first few weeks" 😕 Seriously, wtf?!?!?! But yeah, I'm mostly just getting on my own nerves...

Heh, this hits home. I called up my guy to see what he wanted for dinner, since he isn't exactly starving every day (he's super weird about that), and he just tells me, "make something small." Like, what does that even mean? Am I cooking or not?!?! I told him, you're getting hot dogs since you're being such a pain! 🙂 Seriously though, why don't we have a thread for "How my husband managed to annoy me today!"?
So I told my husband yesterday, hey, when you come pick up the guys from the construction site and drop me off at the hospital, bring me a beer so I can knock it back right outside Starbucks. He cracked up at first, then got all serious and was like, you want Child Protective Services or the cops to take our kid away? 😕 Honestly though, what a sight that would be. I'm already acting like a mom and I haven't even had a baby yet.
Sarah Johnson7 said:Totally agree, the constant unsolicited advice about my belly is the worst part—on the road, at coffee shops, even at the beach... And what you two mentioned about the Fisher-Price store—I haven't had an episode quite that rude, but I still deal with old ladies in stores or at the farmers market acting like investigators, asking if I'm due any second and commenting on how huge my stomach is. Like it's my fault? Should I just stop eating and drinking entirely so I can meet their standards?
My latest highlight from this morning: I'm at the grocery store grabbing a paper and some Marlboro cigarettes (which isn't really my thing 🙂). The cashier gives me the once-over, fumbles around with the cigarette packs, and then pulls out the one that says "Smoking is harmful to you and your baby" 😁 Meanwhile, the teenager behind me is buying beer and spitting everywhere, and she doesn't even bother checking if he's 18! It’s just great that she decided I was the one she needed to lecture to clear her conscience!
😂 lol, she was just being a concerned citizen. If I go in for ice cream and grab a Bud Light for my man, I should probably yell through the whole store that it's not for me, right?
Ugh, just had the wildest encounter that totally threw me for a loop. So, I’m at a Fisher-Price store on Saturday grabbing some jumbo pads, and this lady working there goes, "Oh, you must be due any day now." I was like, "Not quite... I still have five weeks left." And then 😲 she looks me dead in the eye and goes, "Well, your belly is huge, how much weight have you put on?!?" Honestly, I didn't even know what to say... ☕
Sarah Johnson7 said:Yeah, well, it wasn't just old ladies—it was everyone, young and old. New episode: I’m walking into the ocean, and this guy yells out to his entire squad of like 15 people, "Yo, check out that gut!!!" There was even a pregnant woman right there with them (!!!), and she just deadpans, "Yeah, it's huge," then pulls out a cigarette and lights up!!! 😕
And I'm sitting there thinking, what idiots. You're acting like my stomach is some freak show, but honestly, looking at her, I doubt hers will be any better once all that smoking kicks in. 😁
Honestly, it's pathetic, but I couldn't stop laughing 🤣
My latest little scenario... waiting for the bus to Mark Twain and this guy, clearly not "all there," keeps walking past me over and over, yelling every single time how slim a woman I am (and let's be real, I'm built like an elephant). At first, I just stared at him like, WTF 😕, but then I figured... hey, go ahead and be crazy and happy for yourself.
I mean, I just lovewalking out to grab some milk and bread at Walmart, only to have the ladies behind the counter and everyone else start grilling me... like, seriously, why are you even out right now? Just chill out, guys, I'm just trying to run an errand, it's not like I can just teleport...
I swear, people have been getting up whenever I board the subway lately (hopefully I'm not jinxing myself though). I honestly think it’s just because I’m such a huge presence that they can’t even move around me... But yesterday was a total mess on the bus, some frantic old guy actually elbowed me right in the gut 😲 He couldn't even figure out where to sit in an empty bus, just spinning around like a fool for two stops. My immediate reaction was basically "get lost" 🙂 I gave him a shove just to get him away from me. His wife was staring at me with pure terror in her eyes because I totally snapped...
I actually used that express lane for pregnant women at Walmart once... there was this massive line, and I just had a ton of tomatoes and two ice creams. I figured, why not? If I don't use it now while I'm pregnant, when will I... Honestly, nobody even complained (at least not out loud).
Ethan King75 said:The only thing invalid here is his mindset. Look, I've helped people before, whether they needed it or not—I don't mind standing up—but yesterday was just a disaster. The guy was a total wreck, a complete hillbilly with zero respect, acting like he owned the entire subway car.
Honestly, you have a point about not minding standing, but those subways can jerk stop so fast, or some idiot might accidentally slam into your stomach... better safe than sorry. Some huge guy with a backpack smacked me right in the gut the other day, so if you can grab a seat, just do it...☕
Ugh, just heard another gem from everyone—men, women, young, old... all of them. If you think things are hard now, just wait until you have a kid, then you'll really see, haha! (okay, I added the laugh at the end, but that’s basically how they say it 🙄). Honestly, why are people such jerks? Like, can't we just have a normal conversation without it turning into some mean-spirited comment? It's not like I'm pregnant because it's "trendy" or whatever... I know exactly what I'm getting into.
rustyrider20 said:Down at the main street in Chicago... every third vendor is shouting about discounts for pregnant women—they'll give them a deal, then toss in some extra treats for the duo, too.
So why don't I ever get the biggest croissant? That’s what I actually want... Every single time I walk into the bakery to ask for an apple turnover, they tell me they're out. Usually, they're out of croissants, too... yet when I send my husband, he comes back with both the turnover AND the croissant.
Ugh, well at least your guy knows how to shop. I'll send mine out for cherry pie, and he brings back some dry-as-hell pastry with cherries that look like scabs, gross. And obviously, I ended up getting mad and crying over it, which is just one more thing that's driving me nuts during this pregnancy—just crying at everything. 🙂I guess my man needs God to help him deal with me.
