...I think this one falls into the same category... it's just a remake... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0282040/ ...the original is obviously the original... the remake ended up playing on TV one Sunday afternoon... on ABC... naturally I was hoping for something like the original, but nope... nothing... just that Golden Pond 2001 version...
....I remember that movie...it had a couple of sequels...was an Israeli production...saw it once on cable back in the day...maybe on FX, MTV, or Comedy Central...can't quite recall which one...fun flick though...
...so there's this one flick, if you'll let me bring it up here... it isn't technically a silent film, but the leads play those classic Stanlio and Olio types... black and white, I think it was one of their first real sound movies... personally, I thought it was killer... The Devil's Brother and that whole Li Fra Diavolo vibe... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0023943/ ...here's a bit of music from the movie too... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYNMo8b_Ybg
...silent films are just awesome to me...I can still remember them from when I was a kid...Stanlio and Olio, Buster Keaton, Chaplin...I also really dig that short silent film from the early days of the industry, Journey to the Moon...
...first time I saw this flick was back in '93 at some theater in Chicago...think it was over by the old AMC...it was killer...man, I can't even tell you how many times I ended up borrowing the tape from the local Blockbuster after that...
...here's a few... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118883/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0204686/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115571/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361596/ ....personally, I think they're pretty decent flicks... but I don't buy into much of that Conspiracy Theory stuff too heavily... still, worth a watch if you got the time...
...don't have any links handy, but I've been bingeing some documentaries on PBS lately... they really have a solid selection of the old classics... there was this one mixed bag—some vintage footage blended with newer stuff—about a massive storm surge hitting a major port city... also remember an awesome one about those old big car shows they used to hold out in the suburbs... just great... honestly, we need more of that old-school stuff...

...there's more sequels too...I caught the third one...never got around to the rest...they shot it in Africa...here's the link http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=gods+must+be+crazy 👍
...man, that movie was everything to me when I was a kid...I can still see myself wandering around those old theaters with my mom, from the local AMC over by our place all the way to the big multiplex downtown...just pure bliss...I even caught the third installment while it was still playing in theaters, though honestly, it didn't hit quite like the first two did...I also remember this one flick that came out around the same time as "Gods"...those incredible creatures (seriously, animals are just beautiful souls)...that movie was awesome too...plus, it wasn't nearly as violent as "Gods" was...👍

...the savior thing happened before 1990... I messed up a bit in my last post, but that's probably just because of the infection... back in 2003, I think...

He said everyone went absolutely wild singing along—totally lost in the moment—yet somehow, nobody even seemed to notice him, despite him being one of the lead actors. Personally, I wouldn't even rank that song in my top five. And honestly, I don't get why everyone is tearing into Armin. I actually thought his performance was pretty good...
...it's obvious people aren't even paying attention to the movies... Gibbonni is just remembered (at least by me) for that one song (he's got others too).... you shouldn't trash any movie because every single one has a message... some people get it, some don't....😍
...the golden year...it’s not just about the movie being good, it's that song by Gibonnij...does anyone else remember that Mondo Bobo flick and the soundtrack from it (Central Problem and that Mondo Bobo track)...😛
