Elizabeth Mendoza said:Both he and Biden can team up for all I care. You've got the President out there promising that America will have the strongest economy in the world once we finally move past this whole pandemic mess.🤣

I guess they might actually start exporting Corona soon. Maybe. 🤣

I watched that clip from earlier, and I guess it’s worth some thought, though I’m not entirely sure what to make of it yet. It feels like one of those things where you look at the surface level and think you understand the situation, but once you start digging into the specifics, everything gets a bit more complicated—maybe even a little messy. There’s a certain rhythm to how these things play out, isn't there? It reminds me a bit of watching a slow-burn legal drama on HBO, where everyone is acting like they have all the answers, but you can tell they're just waiting for someone else to trip up first. I suppose we could argue about the technicalities, but honestly, most of that feels like noise. I don't know. Maybe I'm overthinking it. Or maybe I'm underthinking it. It’s hard to say without seeing how the rest of the pieces fall into place. I'll probably sit on this for a while before forming a definitive opinion, because rushing to judgment seems like a losing game most of the time. Anyway, just some thoughts.

Haha.

Look, I’m no leftist, so your little outbursts are essentially meaningless; they're built entirely on a false premise.

You're quite the pilot, aren't you?☕

restlesssurfer97 said:So, I’m sitting here reading this, and apparently they’ve banned shops from opening on Sundays just to try and keep people from moving around too much. But then you look at the churches—they’re staying open on Sundays, right? Doesn't that basically encourage the exact same kind of mobility they're trying to stop?
Look, I’m not out here trying to bash priests or anything, that’s pretty obvious, but the task force is honestly just making fools out of us at this point.

It won't be long before everyone starts absolutely tearing them apart, and honestly, you can already see it coming on the horizon.

Are you trying to suggest that the clergy has some kind of special privileged status here in the States? ☕

So, left-footed or right-footed? Honestly, it doesn't matter... he’s just playing exactly how you need to play in that moment. I guess opportunity makes a thief. Just a little hint from Messi's side 😄😝

restlesssurfer97, you just love to slap labels on everything, don't you? Honestly, Šprajc was basically rolling with whatever happened; if people were dying because there weren't enough restrictions, he’d probably complain that they were killing people, and now that we're dealing with some half-baked situation, he's back at it again. I guess people just have to peddle their own nonsense sometimes. It used to be interesting when he’d call out the administration, but now he just seems to vent about absolutely everything and everyone, regardless of whether it actually matters or not.

Probably Plan B, especially now that Baraka has opened up nearby

The only reason I ever hit up McDonald's is for a quick ice cream or some fries. Everything else they serve just tastes incredibly bland and repetitive. In Miami, there are endless fast-food spots offering much better quality for basically the same price. Places like Kaleta are cheaper and infinitely more delicious. And that’s not even touching on the higher-end options...

Down at the end of Marmont, there's a Pizza Hut. $4.00 Man, that looks like a killer little pizza. Personally, I probably hit up McDonald's maybe twice a year; I always feel like it’s a bit overrated. If I’m actually looking to get full, I’ll usually spend my money elsewhere. $33Better to just stay quiet.
Is it better to go with some cevapi or just grab a real burger?

Elizabeth Mendoza said:Man, just think about how much money they’ve funneled through movies, series, plays, commercials, and everything else over a few decades of work. They couldn't even scrape together enough for a decent apartment, yet here they are living in those ruins right in the middle of downtown. Most likely, after the fall of the old regime, they were basically handed those apartments for free, unless they just inherited them.

Listen, we "deserved" this. How? By lounging around on stage and posing for the cameras?

Why does that even bother you? I’d rather live in 400 square feet right downtown than in 700 square feet out in the suburbs in some place built like a joke.
When I saw photos of those apartments they tore down, it looked like someone just stacked bricks and mud together and then slapped a coat of paint over it to make it look halfway decent.

wiredrider9 said:Honestly, the massive elephant in the room is that nursing home over on El Paso Street. They’ve got 45 infected people there and people are actually dying—all chronic patients, obviously—which is a much bigger deal. Heads should be rolling for that, but instead, we're wasting time obsessing over some clueless cop and someone's phone being snatched.

If you were running that nursing home, I bet you'd be feeling pretty calm right about now. ☕

All this was happening to one specific group—the fans. While they were being treated like animals, getting slapped with fines and criminal charges based on mere comments, having their homes raided, their jobs targeted, and living under constant terror, the crowd was cheering them on, shouting "beat the hooligans." When they pushed through those speech laws, or when they sang songs about war profiteers, the masses were rooting for the police. Now, you can all eat what you cooked.

(I'm not aiming this directly at you, but I'm pretty sure those two journalists back then were just nodding along and approving everything.)

Now the pundits and the political talking heads will probably jump in to tell you exactly how wrong you are.☕

They'll probably just slap us with some new emergency tax; it's not like we haven't seen them do that before when everyone else was struggling to stay afloat...

Stop following the herd.

If the Coronavirus doesn't get us first, starvation might just do the trick. An economic collapse feels inevitable at this point; I guess it's just a matter of days before it hits us.
