Matthew Young35 said:Now we'll see people getting penalized in America just for taking a stroll through a park.
And you want to know what's actually going to spread the virus?
It won't be globalization.
It will be the employers who aren't legally barred from operating, demanding that staff show up to work even when there's barely any business to be had.
From what I can see, once the initial shock wore off, everyone sent their people home, but now they're already announcing calls to return to the office.
And for the average worker with no leverage, there is no choice: go in, or get fired.
I understand the business owners too; things are difficult for them as well, and even a trickle of business is hard to survive on.

Just my observation.

I’m heading into work like clockwork—mask, gloves, sanitizer, the whole bit. There's no way I'm staying home, especially since my boss mentioned he still has enough in the budget to cover three more paychecks.☕

I guess Kujundžić would probably suggest some old-school home remedy to deal with Covid, maybe a big bowl of hearty stew, plenty of garlic, and some red wine.☕

Dickey, we didn't even recognize you there. ☕

How would you even know that? ☕

The movie is actually decent; if it were called Zombieland, I guess it would have been a total blockbuster. 😄

urbanhawk17 said:So, a little while back, he and his wife—if I'm remembering correctly, it was his wife or maybe a family member—went on some trip, and the whole thing was footed by taxpayer money. It was a private vacation, obviously.

You won't find that reported anywhere, of course. Someone posted it on Facebook; just some random person who happens to know his wife.

But yeah, it's all just a Potemkin village...

I mean, I don't follow him that closely, but I tend to trust my better half more. ☕

The guy operates exactly like Bandić did. You've got the holiday festivals in Indianapolis, then you've got ice skating festivals, and so on. It's just a copy-paste job.

He talks a good game, though. Transparency and all that. 😁

I love those kinds of words—they sound great, but they don't actually mean anything.

I mean, the ones you're talking about are from over in the Czech Republic; we're discussing the situation here in the States.☕

I guess having a cat is enough reason for someone to call you a coward. Maybe. ☕

Skoro certainly felt the weight of that shift during this election cycle. Honestly, he probably would have even made it into the runoff if it weren't for some divine intervention.

For thirty years, they've been protecting a pack of thieves masquerading as an organization. For me, that's where I draw the line. What’s worse is that their most vocal supporters are often the very people filling heads with nationalist nonsense and intolerance toward anyone perceived as different. They are always standing by when it's time to sharpen the rhetoric or direct that specific segment of voters who view the New Testament as a political guidebook from the pulpit.

That petty, short-sighted, self-serving brand of politics is personally the biggest reason I’ve distanced myself from all of it. If I were to ignore the illogicalities and the atavisms—which aren't exactly rare in ancient traditions—one could certainly extract a beautiful life ethic from the New Testament even in modern times; but quite simply, everything associated with them just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's much the same as their secular counterparts in the Republican Party, with all those superficial displays of "patriotism."

I mean, I pulled that conclusion from what you said, but I wasn't trying to imply you were wrong or anything like that. I was honestly just posing a question. 🤔
You mention people getting their heads filled with nonsense from some pulpit, but to me, that just sounds like you're trying to say that the folks who actually buy into that garbage are just easily led and don't bother using their own brains... I guess.

So, what you're getting at is that people who head to Church just to sit there and listen to sermons... you don't exactly consider them the brightest bulbs in the room? I guess that's one way to look at it. Maybe.

Paul Martinez73 said:Look, I generally can't stand pop fans of any kind, but nothing is more annoying than when the "Testo Metal" crowd acts like they're superior because your music is supposedly shallow or lacks depth...
Honestly, Testo Metal is pure poetry for the refined ear of a classic human being. If someone doesn't get it, that's their problem, but I've noticed this group constantly acting like they're on some higher plane of existence—just a bunch of guys screaming, wearing chains, drinking cheap booze, and doing hard drugs. Meanwhile, pop fans have their crowds of people with guns, drinking expensive liquor, and doing hard drugs.

There is definitely too much trash in metal, but the fact remains that there isn't a single good thing to be found in pop.😁
Metal has such a massive catalog (both commercial and underground) that you could easily put together a list of 2,000 top-tier songs. Try doing that with catchy pop hits.☕

Steven Fox37 said:Look, if two thugs jump you and try to break your knees, and you grab a brick and crack one of them over the head so the other runs away—is that really a "negative function"?
Or take a scenario that’s even more morally clear: you see three creeps cornering some woman, and you step in with a brick or a bat to save her.

In both those cases, we're talking about positive functions, yet in both scenarios, you're using a brick, a bat, a knife, or scissors as a weapon. A weapon isn't inherently bad, just like it isn't inherently good.

Good luck arguing with X.

Signing a cash deal.
Look, we aren't trashing Serena Williams just because she’s been staying quiet like a coward for fifteen years; it's because the guy is a piece of work and he surrounds himself with losers. I mean, sure, we know he gets along with Stimac—that's point one. But then there's the fact that he left under some pretty shady circumstances, plus nobody actually knows the real numbers on those transfer fees, much like the situation with Pletikosa. Honestly, I don't get how anyone could look at them and see decent, honest people. To me, they're just trash.
If the CFA ends up coming into the club, Stimac might end up getting all the inside info directly. Maybe that’s a stretch, but hey, once you get burned, you learn.
Let them keep doing whatever they want...
