Every single time my buddy and I scraped together enough cash for a trip to New York for shows, we’d always wonder how on earth we ended up right in the front row. Thanks to you and all those other sitting types.b>
Take it easy, Sandra Chase16—he meant sitting on the upper deck of the bus.😉
@ wiredfalcon2: I was sitting downstairs, so I have no clue who was up there... though maybe we chatted outside?🤔
A red and gray striped Burton hat, bangs, a nose piercing...
So... I am absolutely wiped. It’s going to take me at least three days to thaw out after that brutal windstorm in Chicago, but honestly? After last night, I think I have to add Franz Ferdinand to my top ten concerts—not just of the year, but of my entire life. They’ve officially gained their biggest fan yet. 😍
If anyone can walk me through how to upload videos online, let me know. I’m dying to post a few clips from the show..
wiredfalcon2 said:Hmm, why not just give them a call and ask? Maybe there are some standing room tickets left—not necessarily what they have listed online for city tours, but maybe some leftovers from the main venue.
I already tried calling, but Eventbrite isn't selling individual tickets at all; they only offer the full VIP package. I just need a single ticket since my ride is already sorted...

I only need one ticket... though, honestly, how much is $35 even worth these days? 🤔
wiredfalcon2 said:I found a number on an events page where some helpful guy told me I could just pick up my ticket at any AAA office. So, I set aside $217 and gave it to some random jerk 😁 to go buy it for me. Never saw those tickets again. But hey, I ended up seeing something else instead. 😁
Okay, so it's Urban Travel. Does anyone know if you can actually go into a AAA (or anywhere else in Chicago) and buy just the ticket without the travel package attached?
shadowgardener12 said:Well, if you don't want to go, then just don't... what's the big deal?
To be honest, I wouldn't even call Depeche Mode a "must-see" band... but let's say someone promised to take me to the show, then changed their mind at the last minute. In that case, I'd probably still go, just so I could tell them later that I was there and had an amazing time without them.😈
shadowgardener12 said:Well, those are just the cheap seats—second row in the North and South Stands. Basically the budget option.
True, but from what I gathered about the Ticketmaster rollout, they only released floor seats and main stands... these extra sections look more like temporary bleachers or some side staging area. Whatever. Honestly, I lose all interest in going to a show if someone else gets to decide exactly where I have to stand... or sit, rather. 👎
But hey, what do I know? I'm just an old lady past my prime. 😁
Update: I might actually go after all, since I finally sorted out my ride! 🙂
Anyway, shadowgardener12... if you have a ticket for the East Bleachers, do you strictly have to sit there, or can you use that ticket to get into the floor area too?? I'm asking because the standing room is already sold out 😠
Preschool traumas: a) I was always the first one there because my mom had to head to work early. I was terrified she wouldn’t come back for me, so I’d practically bolt out onto the sidewalk three times every single morning just looking for her, crying my eyes out. b) They used to force me to eat jam and beef. c) My aunt's son, who was two years younger than us, once smacked me right in the head with a stick. Then they actually took me to get stitches. d) I absolutely hated my name. I wanted to be called Ivanna just like my little friend from preschool. e) I was head over heels for this kid named Andrew. He was the smallest one in class and wore glasses, but he was the only one sweet enough to draw me a birthday cake.😍
Basically, I didn't really know how to socialize until about 5th grade... 🙄
