Honestly, I’m just over wasting my breath on nonsense. There’s zero evidence of any "misconduct" on my part, which is really the only thing that matters here, and frankly, watching people embarrass themselves both here and everywhere else isn't my problem.
Chloe Patel65 said:Cut the innocent act already. It would be nice if your insults actually stayed within reason when you decide to get nasty. 🙂 I don't know you personally, but based on everything I've seen from you on this forum, you're just an unrepentant provocateur who lives to start fights, so what's your point? If your profile doesn't sit right with you, maybe you should take a second to ask yourself why that is. 😛
It’s funny how people are always dragging my supposed "insults" out of thin air without ever actually dropping a single example, so why don't you guys just show me exactly where I supposedly offended someone on this board? So you’ve decided I’m some kind of irredeemable troll or a professional instigator—that’s just your take based on what you think you see in my posts, and honestly, it isn't even an insult, just your own subjective little theory born from your supposedly careful reading of my stuff; whether you actually understood what I was saying in the first place is another question entirely. But labeling someone an "unrepentant provocateur" definitely isn't the same thing as ruggedjackal46 claiming I'm a bad person. Seriously, what kind of logic is that?
Chloe Patel65 said:Does anyone actually have any facts connecting Teen Spirit to that movie or ruggedjackal46's little insult? Hell no, but honestly, it’s actually a pretty perfect excuse for you to just let loose and dump everything you've been holding onto.
When you write stuff like that, it honestly makes you wonder if you even know how to read. It doesn't even matter, though—I swear, within seconds of seeing that, he was already rushing in with one of his endless emoji posts just to show how much he loves ruggedjackal46's INSULT (and I’m not even using quotes here), all on this specific thread!
Chloe Patel65 said:You're hearing it wrong. They didn't ask for any of that.
Luckily, I’m pretty much in the loop regarding everything they've been pulling behind my back on this forum, and let me tell you, I know damn well that this is exactly what they were looking for, so don't even try lying to me.
Chloe Patel65 said:If you actually wanted to celebrate getting kicked out, that would be a whole different story... 😁
This is actually pretty fascinating to watch. It looks like there’s a small clique here trying to get me kicked off, and they clearly don't even bother to read my posts before jumping to conclusions. What’s really hilarious is how completely oblivious they are to the obvious paradox at play here—it's just amateur-level hypocrisy, honestly. Disgusting.
By the way, I found out they've been digging through my private messages behind my back, twisting them around and using them as "evidence" or whatever—probably just cherry-picking fragments out of context to make themselves look right. They won't even let me go back and set the record straight where they posted those snippets, which I assume was done pretty maliciously. Honestly, you don't exactly need a PhD to see how shady that whole setup is. Gross.Honestly, I feel like someone should actually be held accountable for this and face some real consequences.
So, word on the street is this whole thread is being twisted around to target me through some cheap, disrespectful gaslighting behind my back.
But honestly, anyone who actually bothered to read this thread can see exactly how this went down:
1) ruggedjackal46 starts a thread about a movie. 2) I jump in and actually talk about the FILM. 3) Then ruggedjackal46 decides that because I don't like the same movie he does, he’s somehow entitled to attack me personally—going so far as to claim I'm an irredeemable piece of trash, even though we've never met or even spoken before. (Seriously, try coming up with a heavier insult than that; you can't, right?). That’s where the derailment starts, triggered by ruggedjackal46's offensive outburst directed at me. 4) Naturally, I react with total disbelief and disgust, which is just common sense, while dropping some undeniable facts about Teen Spirit along the way. 5) And now I'm hearing that the same duo, ruggedjackal46 and Teen Spirit, are running around behind my back trying to get ME banned from the forum!
Finally showing up after a massive freaking drought appearing out of nowhere after such a long dry spell man, I am feeling so incredibly drained nothing is ever going to be mine again
Look, kids don't really give a damn about where they drop their spam, so I'm just gonna address him right here. Since I’m not exactly known for being some kind of hall monitor regarding off-topic posts or spam, I figured I’d take the liberty of calling out this multi-post spammer right now.
That’s my final word on all this constant adolescent brown-nosing and the spam frenzy taking over the forum; everything should probably pick back up where I left off before I was so rudely interrupted—talking about the movie Amelie.
P.S. Teen Spirit, you’ve got enough brainpower to make me more than just SCARED; if you keep showing off like this, we might actually end up in a full-blown panic soon 😁
Look, kids, this whole thing is just a joke. I don't even really notice ruggedjackal46, he’s barely a blip on the radar here, but you, Spirits, you're a straight-up menace. One click on your profile to see your post history and it’s obvious you SPAM !!!! this entire board to a scandalous degree. Even if you were just posting under Teen Spirit, it would be too much, but juggling multiple handles just makes you the most obnoxious eyesore on this site.
Let's get one thing straight, I have nothing against Rome or anyone else's lifestyle, but you irritate me Personal because your level of flooding is just disgusting. If anyone finds a single post where you actually engage in a real discussion, I'll mail them a six-pack of their choice. Just take a break already and stop testing me; you don't have nearly enough wit or substance for me to bother with a real debate. Go find someone else to hook up with somewhere else, because this is a MOVIE subforum.
The mods need to step up and wipe this entire thread. It should start with that shockingly disrespectful comment from ruggedjackal46 regarding my ethics. Do we know each other? No. So don't even think about weighing in on what kind of person I am based on your little "opinion."
I'm still waiting on an answer from September regarding my question...
ruggedjackal46, was that last post of yours some kind of display of your legendary "kindness" that supposedly helped you "get" Amelia, only to be boosted by the movie's "noble message"? If that's what we're doing here, then your version of kindness is honestly pathetic.
Me, I'm telling you, not every girl is built the same!
I was debating whether to even bring up that bizarre detail—the fact that he doesn't "notice" he's dealing with a man. I figured someone else would eventually call it out, so I’m just adding my two cents, but honestly, that’s the most fascinating part of the whole movie. Just think about how much mental energy he had to burn just to deny it to himself. Even if he wasn't consciously aware of it, how much strain was that putting on him? It makes their entire sexual dynamic feel so incredibly weird.
Very disturbing! And that tension isn't some flaw in the film; it's actually one of its strongest points, maybe even the most powerful thing about it.
Some people might call this movie a total disaster, and honestly, I won't argue with them. But if we’re going to be fair to Clarke, we really need to get the timeline straight, right? As far as I can tell, the order goes like this:
2001 book and film released together 2010 book, and only then the film after that, just books
P. S. Taking a page out of the music section's "now playing" playbook, I'm starting a "watched today" tag here on the film board. I'll be throwing in my own rating from 1 to 5 as well. So, here it is:
The way David pushes things toward the edge of pure grotesque happens across different layers of reality, but it always boils down to that messy intersection of evolution, tech, and death.
plus sex and disease.
I'm not even going to touch what slyrider16 said just yet; let him figure out a basic timeline first if he wants to be useful.
driftingowl27, M. Butterfly is honestly one of the most disturbing movies I've ever sat through—and I mean disturbed on a deep, unsettling level. That scene in the cramped quarters where the con artist strips in front of their terrified lover really stuck with me.
I think eXistenZ is great, so I don't really get what you think is missing from it.
Why does this guy keep cycling through so many different handles like it’s some kind of game; he's constantly just having these weird little one-man debates with himself and I honestly think someone needs to step in and fix this mess.
Give me a break, what kind of connection could Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis (plus Enigma 😁) possibly have to modern electronic music, because honestly, it’s basically just folk music for people who think they're being deep.
I can't say I remember anything about Jean-Michel Jarre, probably just suppressed the memory entirely.
If you ask me, he was probably busy playing some weird dive-into-the-deep-end routine back when people were still waiting on the lottery numbers during the old days of the USA.
