Honestly, if I’m going to be taken out, I’d much rather it be by someone with a bit of actual intellect... 😁 Robin Williams6, you really have my utmost respect for that one.

Man, you've got to be kidding me... Seriously. Just meet me down at the pier tomorrow and we'll see who's actually talking big. 🙂

Now, I actually love pop culture. Though, goodness, I can't quite recall the last time I sat down to watch Sideways? 🤔 Such a brilliant film. Last year, it was definitely American Splendor... but man, Paul Giamatti is absolutely incredible. 🙂
lonebison37 said:Hey there, boldscout72! 🙂 I was browsing through the stacks at the local library yesterday—just one of those quiet afternoons—and I spotted this indie darling... a real tall, stable girl... 😁 I thought she might be just your type.
My top five absolute favorites—if I had to choose, which is quite the task...
1. ))<>(( (Miranda July) 2. Memories of Murder (Bong Joon-ho) 3. Broken Flowers (Jim Jarmusch) 4. Good Night, and Good Luck (George Clooney) 5. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Garth Jennings)
I wasn't cheating—not by a long shot. I was just your typical, true-blue nerd—sitting there under the glow of a desk lamp, fueled by nothing but coffee and cigarettes, deep in the rabbit hole of discovering new bands until the sun came up... This all actually took place a few weeks before things really kicked off here. 😁
And... would your parents actually be willing to walk away from all this? 😁
The Bronx. Honestly, my parents would likely let me go in a heartbeat—the real question is whether Harold Wright54 is prepared for that kind of reality...😬

Hmm... now, regarding that shrubbery down in the bottom left corner...
😉
Bush and Roots are emerging from the sewers. Alice in Chains is positioned 🙂 right by the Blur entrance on the right side. 🙂
Well, here is one for Pritt. Black Flag is hanging from the side of a building. 🙂 One for the rockers and the metalheads—Iron Maiden is crossing the street. Green Day is marked on the calendar, just to the right of Tuđman. And there’s Cowboy Junkies over by the corner for brightridge19. 😁 Every single letter U belongs to the extremists, and Daniel Bailey7 is positioned above the Talking Heads in the shop window. The whole vibe is Crowded House.
The Carpenters are performing over at the main building. 😁 You've got Lemonheads running a booth nearby, and then there are the Cowboy Junkies hanging out right on the corner...
My current top three troublemakers: 1. brightridge19 — mostly because our musical tastes align perfectly—and because she keeps tabs on me while I'm grabbing a beer outside... even though we've never actually met... and honestly, I find the voyeurism rather intriguing... 2. Gazelle — put simply, she’s the only true indie darling on this forum. 3. Ponor — since they worship Satan and the depths of hell, which only serves to reinforce my own theories regarding the existence of a good God...
Lifetime Achievement Award: PrittPen — because she is cheerful, loud, and quite charming... plus she has a soft spot for the silver Jew, isn't that just something?
My current top three hooligans: 1. d.zelig — they show up sparingly, but when they do, they are incredibly intelligent and charming... truly... 2. anti-person — despite everything else, they still listen to absolute garbage music... 3. jim "draž" james — a solid friend who doesn't cause unnecessary drama—and being a Kentuckian, we have a lot in common...
Lifetime Achievement Award: Jihad — an endless fountain of nonsense that nobody understands except Buddy... so really, it's a joint award for the two of them.
