Now, what do you mean by the Talking Heads having a "wimpy" moment? 🤔 😉
Have you ever actually sat down and watched Stop Making Sense?😬
I listen to whatever strikes a chord with me—it really doesn't matter if it’s some folks from Kentucky injecting massive three-minute guitar solos into their country tunes, or some sweeping British pop band featuring violins and endless, ethereal wailing... I was practically forced into punk because I had an older brother who constantly shopped various kinds of junk my way, though all that really stuck was the Ramones and The Clash. To be perfectly honest, I don't think I've ever even heard of the Buzzcocks in my entire life. I also have a deep affection for Neil Young and Bob Dylan, and when it comes to the more modern folk, Americana, or whatever genre you'd care to label it, I'm quite fond of M. Ward, Will Oldham, and Wilco. My absolute favorites, though, would have to be Silver Jews. I enjoy Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, and Pavement, as well as R.E.M. up through Out of Time. I like Hüsker Dü too, though nothing out of the ordinary... I certainly don't care for Black Flag or Fugazi at all. I love catching a decent punk show over at KEXP and dancing along with the crowd, provided things don't turn into total chaos there. 😁 I actually adore even the most eccentric moments from Talking Heads; everything Byrne puts out feels like the Bible to me, even if it happens to be the absolute worst kind of conceptual nonsense. Well, alright, perhaps I am exaggerating slightly... Frank Black is essentially God to me. I am twenty-three years old, unemployed, and uneducated, but I do have a new haircut, and I am currently searching for a wonderful woman who looks like Cat Power so we can just roll around in the grass together.
And I love Iron Maiden as much as I love my own mother.

Well, it's over in Cleveland. 😁

Mmmm. 😍
Though, if I recall correctly... my last decent experience was way back during my junior year of high school... 😬
The top three highlights from my day today:
1. I finally pulled the trigger and bought a lap-steel guitar—so excited to start learning...
2. Spotted a guy at a red light cruising in a vintage Porsche, blasting Hurrican by Dylan through his speakers... what a vibe.
3. Successfully assembled a shoe cabinet—it actually stands up straight!
😍
Now, that’s a much more intense whale of a performance live—but honestly, given what you just said about Wilco, you might just find yourself burning in hell... 😈
Here comes a little midday sermon straight from Brooklyn.
Listen to me, son! You’ll find it much easier to scrape together enough cash for a car working construction than sitting in some cubicle at an IT firm. It’s the same story if you head down the wrong path—drugs, smuggling, all that—you might lose your sense of honest hard work, sure, but you'll have plenty of money for the nightlife and just enough scraps for the poor souls left behind. Besides, my boy, why bother worrying about a car or owning a house? You’ve got the United States to lean on... so just keep a smile on your face.
🙂
From that list, I’m only really good at ice skating and blowing bubbles. 😁
I’m honestly thanking Dear God for the latter—mostly because it is easily one
of the absolute most irritating tasks for people of all ages... just truly awful.
🙂

*He sits upon a golden throne amidst the clouds,
with a long white beard and distinct features—you know, those sharp lines--
and various other traits, watching over me
with a single blue eye.
lonebison37 said:You really had to include those "du-du-du-duuu" backing vocals, didn't you? 😬
Everything... just everything. It's pure chaos—absolute misery and total hell. 😁
Carol Jackson45 said:When people sing Candle in the Wind, they’re basically just mourning Princess Diana... and honestly, it was mostly just for that one month following her passing. Beat That 😛
Look, you have Bastasse una Canzone by Bruce Springsteen. Do you even grasp the depth of that? 😁
lonebison37 said:I can only recall my old English teacher—she was quite a character—bringing in the lyrics to U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" just so we could all try singing it together a bit...
True, though everything feels wonderful right up until the moment you're forced to belt out "Bastasse una Canzone" in Italian. 🙂
Or, you know, having to endure the gym teacher taking aim at you with a massive ring of keys... right in the most sensitive spot imaginable. 😁

And Jack White—for crying out loud. 😁
David Sullivan4 said:The local gang was out last night, absolutely wrecking those frat boys by smashing beer bottles over their teeth... total chaos.😬
It seems I really shouldn't have let Moose wander off on his own... quite the mess he got into...😁
gentlepuma20 said:🙄 honestly, they wouldn't listen to that garbage anyway... 🤮
Man, there you have it. :2up:

this dog... he's basically a full-blown singer-songwriter at this point.
Exactly—he's just like Samuel Beam. 😁
Carol Jackson45 said:I’m claiming this one! A little wavy toy... 😍 Does it bite?
Well, that’s an Afghan Hound—of course it doesn't bite... 😁
Actually, looking at him today, he's more or less like this...

Two of the absolute best breeds. 😍
Number One:

The Golden Retriever—honestly, they are just pure sunshine in fur form... though I suppose one could argue about their appetite!
Number Two:

The Labrador Retriever—a classic for a reason, truly a staple of any American household...

I mean—what kind of "general education" are we even talking about? In my experience, you can only really listen to punk...
I’m familiar with the Kronos Quartet because they happen to be on the same label as Wilco and Brian Wilson—though, I must admit, I know they can get quite intense... which honestly makes me a little hesitant to dive in just yet.😁
