I have to admit, the Smashing Pumpkins have some truly decent material in their catalog—really quite lovely stuff—but once Billy "rat in a cage" Corgan starts his particular brand of whining... well, let's just say it gives me a bit of a stomachache. I find Daydream to be an absolute gem, and Luna is wonderful too, but there is just constant moaning from Corgan in those tracks. And Stumbleine is quite beautiful as well. As for everything else, it all feels like it was put together via some rushed Malkmus procedure...😬

I’ll wait for the praise from Elon Musk...

Well then, if you insist... a Medal of Honor for me... and my little girl. 😁

The top three things I managed to accomplish by age 14:

1. Managed to land a date with the cutest girl in my class
2. 2nd seeing Pearl Jam live
3. Made some extra cash flipping homemade pancakes

Honestly, this is one of my absolute least favorite places on the planet. There are just way too many Americans there—and I don't mean the good kind—who clearly have no idea how to actually ski. They just show up to flaunt their brand-new Bogner gear and hog the lift lines... and then, once they finally bother to strap into their skis, they end up plowing straight through everyone else in a massive snowplow. If someone hits them, well, I guess they have insurance, right? And then you’ve got the whole scene where they’re screaming along to the latest hits by popular Jolet at the top of the mountain, only to turn around and start bashing their own cousin over the head with a ski pole because he "stole" the spot they saw first. And yeah, it's basically the chaos of a New Year's Eve law party...😁

I'm going to go make lunch now. Leave me alone.

At that exact moment, the self-proclaimed Donna will surely face the wrath of God—and I, of course, shall be there to witness such a magnificent occasion...😁

The top 1 person God commanded me to take out:

1. Anđelko Kaćunko (per Article 1 of the Divine Law regarding mortal sins—this individual has wallowed so deeply in sin that his sheer arrogance would baffle even the grace of God... therefore, he is sentenced to death via traditional ecclesiastical methods [the stake, the Iron Maiden, decapitation, or quartering])

I feel I’d have every right to grab the cat out of a burning building before even worrying about some random guy from Chicago—because, let's be honest, not everyone is cut from the same cloth... 😬 😬 😬

I am actually in the middle of arranging to have this tattooed right on my left bicep... 😬

gentlepuma20 seems to enjoy making a person loop through the same arguments over and over again... 😁 It’s some sort of psychological tactic from the Department of Psychology, I suppose—a little trick to keep us spinning. Honestly, you both have a point. Humans can be quite cowardly, yet we are also animals—though, if we're being honest, far less "animalistic" than we claim to be. That bit about the lion? Spot on. But that part about the wolf? Not quite... because a wolf from the deep woods of Montana is just plain feral and will tear through anything in its path. Humans, on the other hand... we tend to overbreed, overslaughter, overconsume, and ultimately, overdestroy. An animal eats until it is full. A human? Well, a human wants to show off a custom-made hunting rifle to his buddy, so he shoots an animal just to mount it on the wall... because there is something in us that finds satisfaction in watching the light fade from its eyes. And so it goes...

😲 So, it's a black long-haired Labrador Retriever. As far as I can tell, there are hardly any of them left in the States—they're quite rare—so I suspect the owner will be reaching out very soon. He truly is gorgeous. I'd love to have one of those, though if I did, my Zlatan Retriever would probably die of a broken heart. Does anyone here happen to have a Zlatan Retriever available for breeding? I simply couldn't bear it if he died... I just never could. 😢

David Sullivan4 said:I was actually reading through this and it reminded me of those little demons we discussed... I was watching an AC/DC live concert DVD last night—with the English subtitles turned on, of course—and honestly, it was quite entertaining. The song "Hells Bells" starts up and you hear the bell tolling (the subtitle just says *bell ringing*), then there’s a massive thunderclap and the crowd starts screaming "a-a-a-a-a" (the subtitle translates that as *ahah- ah - ah -ah*), then the singer belts out a "yeah" (subtitle: *yeah*). It’s all very literal, like that...

Speaking of brilliant subtitling, though... whenever you watch anything on Full Circle, they constantly have (PALIN GIGGLES) appearing in parentheses right under Michael Palin... 😂

I recall hearing that Byrne felt there was no point in Headsi continuing once Marr had played on the *Naked* record...

Well, I’d personally love this for my birthday. It isn't asking for much. Come on now, don't be stingy—let's get a collection going. You’ve got four months. Thanks.

That live performance—honestly, "This Must Be the Place" stands as one of those singular, breathtaking moments in the entire history of pop music... not to mention the song itself. Just sublime. It reminds me of an episode of Life in the North where my good friend Joel Fleischmann dreams that everyone in town is actually from New York, only to wake up absolutely drenched in a cold sweat. That's when "This Must Be the Place" kicks in for me... truly the best End Credits ever.🙂

Honestly... quite poorly. I wouldn't exactly call myself a "sweaty" person—not by any stretch of the imagination—but then again, a tear just rolls down my cheek every single time I hear The Trooper... It's a bit much, really. Anyway—are we still planning on heading over to Whole Foods this Saturday?
