Has anyone had surgery at Mercury Hospital?
The waitlist for Rebro is just way too long for me. 😁
The Hangover Part II in Movies ·
Oh my God, not again.
True. Just be careful about what you download. Definitely skip the unrated version—not that I'm picky, but some parts were just too much... I actually stopped watching before the end because of them, so yeah... feels like they've run out of ideas 🤷 but there they are, and they even had to make it 3D... 🙄
The Exorcist (2010) in Movies ·
Hey there!
It’s got some humor and a few creepy horror scenes. Definitely worth a watch. 👍

My Google works perfectly fine... I don't get why yours is acting up so much 😕

Even the lady playing her is pretty great 😁

Good story—but it didn't feel fully fleshed out to me. 🤷 They could have leaned into the emotions a bit more. 😁

Not with a cell phone... life is tough, sure, but people find the money for a phone. It’s not some luxury anymore, it’s a necessity. 😬
Bloody sclera: What's going on? in Health ·
fadedfox25 said:So, I did a quick search:
Bloodshot eyes usually come from lack of sleep or staring at a screen too long, but it could also be a Vitamin A or B2 deficiency. You can fix that by eating more dairy, meat, leafy greens, or orange and yellow fruits.

Well, truth is I don't eat much fruit or veggies. The cafeteria food isn't great—they have apples, which I hate 🤣 , and I have to avoid salads because of my stomach issues, so that's a bummer 😁 )
Guess I'll just grab some eye drops. And try to eat more fruit. 🤷

Since you're heading to the drugstore 😁 for Vitamin B anyway, might as well grab a B-complex supplement 😁

Well, you pretty much answered your own question 😬
I'm with you on the Denver thing 😉

Man, no way. That just doesn't make sense... letting someone walk all over you like that...
Instead of being grateful that you're stepping up to help right then and there, they’ll probably just try to squeeze you for more later. 🙂Even if they're going through some major struggles...
People who are actually struggling show so much gratitude for even the smallest thing... everyone else is just a fraud to me. ☕
Breathing and Digestion in Health ·
Carl Campbell3 said:Clavicular breathing—breathing from the collarbone—is basically "final" breathing, the kind that signals rapid death. Breathing should really be coming from your belly. There's an exercise for that, so I won't repeat myself.

Is it possible that bad breathing during exertion increases abdominal pressure? Like, extra strain on the wall muscles causing these issues?

Jeremy Watson16 said:I've got GERD or chronic gastritis catarrhalis (one specialist gave me one diagnosis, a doctor at the local hospital gave me another)... long story short, it all comes down to stomach lining inflammation, a weakened sphincter muscle between the esophagus and stomach, and some esophageal damage from stomach acid reflux.

Surprised you haven't dealt with heartburn yet; that's been my biggest headache. You mentioned the endoscopy showed inflammation, which means it hasn't become erosive and your esophagus isn't damaged yet... that's good. But it's a sign you should (just like me) get regular endoscopies, maybe once every six months... just so the doctor can check things out.

As for your lungs and breathing issues... I wouldn't know how to help there since I haven't had those symptoms. Hope it's nothing serious. Since you're up and running and still training, it's probably just some cramping.

The biggest issue here is that none of the doctors have actually given a solid diagnosis. The symptoms are definitely there, but there's always some factor used to say "it's not that disease."
The inflammation isn't even really inflammation—it's more like excess acid, which isn't chronic, and an endoscopy isn't just some precaution. 🤷
The other thing is that this whole breathing situation is exactly what makes everything harder...

Sean Brown86 said:Heading in for a full cardiac workup tomorrow to see if everything is okay... my heart starts racing even with minimal effort because I can't catch my breath, even just walking up stairs... and don't get me wrong, my fitness isn't the issue here. If the doctors say my heart is fine, then I'll move on to the colonoscopy... though honestly, that 😕
scares me a bit.

I'm thinking it might be an abdominal wall issue. When those muscles get strained or injured, they take forever to heal. If it's become chronic, it could stay stretched out for months. You really should have taken it easy on the physical activity early on (which I know is easier said than done 😁), rather than waiting this long.
The thing is, a gastroscopy wouldn't have caught that... not sure if a 😕
would show anything either. Doesn't feel like a heart problem to me... and I'd actually be down to get that colonoscopy done 🤣
Do people still call FOX "Channel 3"? in Miscellaneous ·
It’s gotta be right. FOX is on channel 3, the new one is on 4. If someone else’s lineup is different at their house, I just don't feel at home there. 😬
Yeah, I call FOX number three, totally reliable. 😁
How do I get started with these changes? in Psychology ·
It’s just about... getting started (even when it feels impossible) 😬
I find my drive by picturing the end goal. Visualizing how everything turns out if I actually stick to the plan. It helps to remember it's all worth it—every little grind or sacrifice we make to stay on track. You don't need to be some superhero to pull it off.

They sure do. Not every single post here is helpful—and clearly, not everyone is an expert. 😉
Tattoo removal advice? in Health ·
I’ve always found it funny watching people who are terrified of needles, or those who can't decide on a design—but deep down, they just know they need one. 🙄 Honestly, if you're that hesitant, you're probably not ready yet. :P
