It reminds me of junk food that's been mass-produced in a factory without any soul, lacking flavor or character, just a cheap copy designed purely for profit. You simply can't compare it to a gourmet delicacy from a French kitchen enjoyed on a sun-drenched terrace in the summer. That’s the first analogy that comes to mind whenever someone mentions Wicker Park, so forgive me if I view a movie you enjoy—especially one that's just a remake—as total garbage.
Alright, different take here.😉
But something is bugging me, and most people seem to have it wrong. Food? Hellooo? Americans don't just eat fast food—even if everyone thinks they're all overweight—so do you really think they don't have their own specialties? Honestly, I hate those stereotypes about Americans. I don't love them, but I don't hate them either. And just because fine dining originates in France doesn't mean the French are inherently "better" at food. Even if the US won a few recent culinary competitions, it doesn't mean the French aren't still far from their former glory. Everyone has their own signature dishes. It's the same thing when we sit around mocking how stupid Americans are—helloooou! There are 300 million of them; of course the media is going to highlight the idiots that make for easy TV. Such lazy assumptions.
But hey, a movie is a movie. If you like it, cool—but for me, this original by😛
