Does "Crazy, Confused, Normal" offend Muslims? in Close to Politics ·
Jerry Johnson5 said:And what about those old Abbott and Costello routines—is that supposed to be a joke against us? You're telling us we don't know how to take a joke... maybe you just haven't heard the classics, so you're just talking nonsense... but we aren't getting angry... there will always be plenty of jokes left...

That’s exactly my point—it’s all just standard humor and lighthearted jokes. Yet, somehow, someone is taking offense. It's particularly strange when that person seems to have absolutely no connection to Canada.

AHA, so who’s the bigot now? It seems our dear little forum "liberals" are actually bothered by

the way Muslims are portrayed in the sitcom "Modern Family." I mean, if that truly upsets you, doesn't that imply

you're spotting certain traits or behaviors that just don't sit right with your worldview? Just imagine

how narrow-minded and hypocritical that perspective really is. You all champion this idea of "globalization" or becoming more worldly, but only

on the specific terms that suit your own comfort. Personally, I have zero issues with seeing Muslims depicted in

that manner, especially since we have plenty of shows where people from California, or

other regions (like Joe from Evening School), are subject to all sorts of stereotypes. But that doesn't bother me; it only bothers

people like you, who seem determined to mold the entire world into your own perfect image.

So, I think I'll take this opportunity to call you out for being intolerant and hypocritical. Honestly,

it's quite shameful. At the end of the day, it's just a TV show. What's next? Are we going to ban all jokes about

blonde hair? It's important to be able to laugh at ourselves. Clearly, that's a concept you

haven't quite grasped yet. Your version of "freedom of speech" and expression is starting to look more and more like

pure repression to me. 👎
So, I’ve been wondering if there’s any truth to something I heard. A girl was telling me yesterday that it might actually be possible for your eye color to change.
Has anyone here ever experienced something like that?

What happens if someone ends up with heterochromia?

Do they tend to get lighter or darker over time?

Is this something that can happen to just anyone?

And if so, when does it usually occur during a person's life?

P.S. If this isn't really worth its own separate thread, maybe an admin could move it into the main discussion about contact lenses!

But once your eyes have been deprived of oxygen for 10 to 15 years straight, corneal issues will start showing up. You don't need to be a genius to realize that.
I learned basic eye anatomy back in elementary school, so common sense dictates that the stories about lack of oxygen aren't made up.

😲I have to admit, that didn't cross my mind at all. Am I really going to have to deal with those kinds of issues down the road?

Oh, please, don't listen to those vultures trying to pick your pocket..."in America they say"🙄that the trash is just out to rob you blind.
I personally use the Optima Toric from Bausch & Lomb... they arrived from Italy in packs of six. A guy told me I could actually wear them for at least eight or nine months. Apparently, they used to be sold as three-month lenses, but to keep the price from spiking, they just rebranded them as monthly lenses while keeping the cost exactly the same. I paid for everything all at once $147.

Nothing special, really—just a total racist and a fascist!🤷☕😬

If you're seriously looking to get banned—maybe even a permanent one—just head over to one of those religious threads, find a Muslim discussion group, and post a crude drawing of a gorilla while claiming it's a caricature of Muhammad. Just watch how fast they shut you down!!!

I actually got hit with a one-day ban once because of a comment that was flagged as racist. In my defense, I was just expressing an opinion about racial mixing; I just don't think it looks good if, fifty years from now, the entire population of this country ends up having skin the color of chocolate milk!😳

I’m not trying to vent or anything, I’m just explaining why I got banned🤷, I'm not looking to cause trouble🙂...I learned my lesson. I'm not a racist anymore.🙂😬

When you look at your profile, everything you've commented on just stays there... is there any way to just hit delete? 🙂

Man, you really have to watch what you write... I've made my own mistakes on social media too! Once you're on the wrong side of the internet, there's no going back.🤣😍🤣

And man, if you think that was bad, just look at what I used to post back when I was hanging out on those old message boards...🙈I’ve still got my profile pictures on Reddit too... honestly, it makes me cringe. But you know what? I’m probably just going to get even more intense from here on out. There's no turning back now.😈.And to all you hypocrites who might recognize me out in the real world—if you have a problem with me, why don't you just say it to my face, you cowards?🙂🙂🙂hahahaha

I actually ended up getting a month-long suspension once because of some pseudo-intellectual comment I made... which, if I’m being honest, probably deserved closer to 35 infractions.
If anyone happens to have screenshots of those specific posts that lead to permanent bans for other users, I would be incredibly grateful to see them.

Do these points actually accumulate over time, or is it something you can collect after serving a penalty while you're busy doing other things or just messing around?

Hahaha😂😂😂 I know, and honestly, it's what worries me!🤣I suppose there might be some similar exercise tucked away in those fancy boutique gyms of yours, so maybe you could draw some conclusions from that!

Come on, people, I’m begging you—help me out here! Is there really nobody on this entire forum who knows anything about the Chest expander? Am I actually going to reach the point where I have to start calling out the self-proclaimed experts around here? Seriously! Alright, let's see... Silverback Gorilla, Iced Earth, Otter, and hey, even you, Edward Mitchell4, please help me out!

I’ve been sticking to my dumbbells lately, but honestly, if you already have that Chest expander lying around, why wouldn't you put it to use? It’s not like the movements are hard to figure out.

Alright, let's get straight to the point. I'm trying to figure out exactly which muscle groups these exercises target. Here are some photos—could you guys take a look and tell me which exercise hits what?

http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/img22/946/dsc00161aa.jpg
The first one looks like a bow-and-arrow pull... which muscles is that working?

http://imgcash2.imageshack.us/img529...dsc00158a.jpg
This one is done at chest level with both hands moving evenly. I noticed the deltoids are definitely getting involved, but what else is being recruited here?

http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/img13/88/dsc00156e.jpg
This one is held high above the head (it feels like my shoulders are doing most of the heavy lifting?)

I actually posted this question under someone else's photos on the forum a while back, but I didn't get any replies.

I know the Chest expander isn't exactly the most mainstream piece of equipment out there, but I'm hoping someone here can help me out. It seems like there's almost nothing about the Chest expander online in America, aside from just basic demonstrations of the movements that I already know.

Hey everyone on the forum! I wanted to jump in and share some photos of my progress. I've been hitting the gym and going for runs for just over two months now, so I’m really hoping to see some significant results by the end of summer.

These shots were taken about two weeks ago. http://img177.imageshack.us/edit_pre...=rotate&degree
This one is a side profile showing my midsection.
http://imgcash6.imageshack.us/img9/9766/dsc00163igs.jpg

I didn't quite manage to get a good shot of my lower body this time around, but I plan to take full-body photos from every angle again in about three weeks.🙂

So, here is what I’m wondering about, and I'd love some help if anyone is willing... I have one of those chest expanders, but I'm not entirely sure which specific exercises target which muscle groups.

http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/img22/946/dsc00161aa.jpg
For instance, which muscles am I working when I do this expander move that feels a bit like drawing a bow and arrow?

http://imgcash2.imageshack.us/img529/6092/dsc00158a.jpg
In this one, besides the chest, obviously, the deltoids are involved too... but which other muscles are being engaged along with them? I'm holding the expander at chest level.

http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/img13/88/dsc00156e.jpg
It looks to me like it works the shoulders, but I can't be entirely certain. Would anyone mind explaining which muscles are actually being used when I hold the expander high above my head like this?

Lastly, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate everyone in this sub-forum. Thanks in advance for all the advice!
