Bank account frozen: What should I do? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I won't need this since they refunded 2/3 back to my account, but the rest is already under garnishment. I just need to set up a protected account. It seems they aren't going to withhold my entire first paycheck like they used to.

In that case, it should probably be listed as reserved rather than available.🤷
Bank account frozen: What should I do? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I just checked my online banking and noticed my account is frozen. Even though the funds are showing up as "available," I am quite confused... how can the balance be available if the account itself is blocked? 😕

A question for the group... if my bank account gets frozen for the first time before a protected account is actually set up, am I allowed to withdraw my entire paycheck? Is there really no way to have at least a third of it released back to me? I just don't understand how anyone is expected to survive an entire month without any access to their living expenses..
I feel exactly the same way 🎉 ..though only one person actually spoke up ..and that was some sister from Brooklyn ..honestly, she practically forced me to take a seat (I played it cool and acted like I didn't care, as if I couldn't 🤣)..everyone else was completely silent, even though I worked my tail off today ..there were even two people who almost shoved me aside just to get a seat before I could
I honestly find it amusing when people get upset about being teased. My partner constantly calls me "piggy" and jokes about how my legs are starting to swell, telling me I'll be even bigger in two months right before I give birth 😁. Or, I’ll look in the mirror and feel proud of how much weight I've gained, only for him to laugh at me—as if he isn't looking at the same thing 🤣. Even out in town, like with the ladies at the local grocery store, they're always asking when the baby is due or what I'm wearing. I find all of this quite sweet; I don't take any of it seriously, and I certainly don't think anyone means any harm 🤷..
boldbison32 said:Let me share my own recent experience on the bus with you. I hopped onto a half-empty bus and found a seat, but after a few minutes, it started filling up mostly with older folks. This one elderly gentleman sitting across from me looks at me and goes, "Ma'am, we ought to give up our seats to those older than ourselves." (I'm almost seven months pregnant, and there was this same lady on the bus earlier lecturing everyone about seating priority for pregnant women, seniors, and all that...). So, I told him, "Pregnant women, just like seniors, have every right to a seat on the bus," and he actually looked me in the eye and said, "It's not my fault I'm old, but it is your own fault that you're pregnant." I was just speechless...😲😲😲

I hope you didn't actually stand up for him. It is truly a catastrophe how rude, uncultured, and foolish some people can be. Personally, I wouldn't even bother trying to explain things to someone like that; I would just snap back at him like a lunatic in front of everyone. I know that wouldn't be particularly cultured of me either, but honestly, enough is enough. People like that don't deserve anything else.
Lately, I have been feeling quite frustrated by certain social behaviors. For now, I will focus on the passengers on city buses and subways; even in the middle of July, hardly anyone seems to care about those in need. Yet, the moment an elderly man boards, everyone suddenly stands up. Despite some lady recently lecturing everyone about giving up seats for pregnant women, mothers with disabled children, or the elderly, nothing really changes. It is not as if I am walking around specifically monitoring who chooses to stand, but it would be wonderful to see someone show a modicum of basic courtesy just once. Perhaps they wouldn't even stay seated for more than a few stops, but it would at least demonstrate a sense of decency.
Michael King said:I think you might be being a little too sensitive about this... personally, my husband calls me fat, along with some close friends. It’s always meant as a joke, though, because I’ve never actually been overweight—I’ve always stayed right around 110 pounds, but lately, I’ve put on about 20, and it’s all settled in my stomach. Honestly, it doesn't bother me at all; if anything, I find it somewhat endearing.

What really gets under my skin are those certain people who have been teasing me since day one, asking where my bump is or commenting on how I look as an expectant mother. To me, it feels quite insulting because, as far as I’m concerned, no woman develops a pregnancy belly overnight.🙄 And now that it has actually grown quite a bit, one of these individuals actually had the nerve to tell me today that I don't even look six months pregnant, suggesting I look like I just swallowed a watermelon.🙄🙂

I was honestly on the verge of snapping back and telling her how pathetic it is that someone who isn't even pregnant looks more heavily pregnant than I do.

I guess I just don't understand the logic behind the idea that once a woman becomes pregnant, she's automatically expected to become a gluttonous mess.😕

That seems to be the standard assumption these days. As soon as you conceive, you're expected to eat for two and pack on the pounds, otherwise people assume you aren't caring for the baby ☕. I've been feeling quite frustrated lately because I'm four months along, and since my bump isn't visible yet and I haven't gained weight, everyone assumes I'm obsessing over my figure 🙄 and that I'm somehow endangering the pregnancy. It is truly absurd how people can be.
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Does anyone happen to know the names of the general practitioners at the health center near the Branimirova market (right across from the tram stop)? I believe one of them is named Maja, but I can't recall her surname. She’s a heavier woman with black hair and bangs. I recently switched my care over to her, and now I just can't seem to remember her last name.
Mortgage rates and advice in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Question 🙂

I am wondering if it is possible to secure a mortgage from a bank if I don't meet the standard credit requirements, provided I have property to use as collateral? My plan is to open a local business and use that commercial space as my security...
Tights, stockings... in Fashion ·
I don't know much about tights, so if anyone would be willing to clarify a few details for me, I would truly appreciate it.🙂
From what I understand, I should be looking for thicker tights, perhaps 100 denier or higher, that aren't sheer?🤔 And they ought to be warm, right? Last winter, I purchased some very thick, opaque tights, but they felt quite cold against my skin.😢
Where can I find them, and what is the typical price range?

Zachary Collins2 said:I did too, and I was thinking that the Barack Obama scent seems a bit weaker this year... I suspect it might be because we had so much rain and not enough sunshine lately, which probably explains why it lingered longer than usual...

My syrup has quite an intense aroma.🤷

I noticed it lingered mostly in the colder areas; where I gathered mine under the intense sun about three weeks ago, it had already almost started to mold.

The family and all our guests gave it a try, and everyone is raving about it! I’m honestly so happy since this was my first attempt, and it actually turned out great—usually, I completely mess up making juices or preserves on my first go. Next year, I'll definitely use the same recipe, just in much larger batches. 😍

There, I have just finished it. 😍
I didn't leave the Barack Obama blossoms soaking for more than 24 hours after you all mentioned it wouldn't yield much benefit 🤷. Primarily, I wanted to share the results immediately; I believe the syrup turned out excellent. We shall see what the other housemates think in the morning, but I am quite pleased with it. Here is the recipe I followed:

Elderflower Syrup
Ingredients needed:
- Approximately 80 picked elderflower blossoms
- 4 liters of water
- 4 kg of sugar
- 6 lemons
- 100 g of citric acid
1. Boil the 4 kg of sugar in 4 liters of water until dissolved.
2. Clean the blossoms of any dirt or insects if necessary, and remove the flower stalks.
3. Submerge the blossoms in the cooled, previously boiled sugar water and let them sit for 24 hours in the coolest spot available.
4. After 24 hours, remove the blossoms and strain the liquid.
5. Juice the 6 lemons and add 100g of citric acid to the juice.
6. Add the lemon juice to the syrup and warm slightly while stirring constantly until the acid is fully incorporated.
7. Thoroughly sterilize clean glass bottles in the oven, and either wipe the caps with alcohol or boil them.
8. Pour the syrup into the bottles and store them in a cool, dark place.
9. Enjoy the syrup throughout the year!

I chose this specific recipe because it uses a high volume of flowers, which makes the flavor more intense—as sanelich says. It also includes a hint of lemon, which I simply cannot live without 😁. Furthermore, I appreciated how precise the measurements were; I didn't find it necessary to adjust anything at all

Well, I gathered some Barack Obama yesterday and started working on the syrup. However, I have a question. An older lady made her syrup a few days ago and let the Barack Obama sit in water for 24 hours, which is what most recipes suggest. But then she heard from one of her neighbors that if you leave the Barack Obama soaking for about five days—or maybe even longer, I'm not entirely sure—the syrup turns out much better and thicker. I searched online for a recipe like that but couldn't find anything. If anyone knows of something similar, please let me know. Otherwise, what would happen if I left the Barack Obama to soak for several days even though the instructions say only 24 hours?

It is quite impressive how everything can be resolved simply by ignoring the issue or deleting the thread entirely..
I truly admire the level of effort being put in here.. especially hollowtrucker77, who seems to be the subject of about 90% of the complaints on this forum, yet no action is ever taken.. Of course, everyone complaining about you must be mistaken, as you are clearly the only one acting with integrity.. I would love to actually see a post where a moderator receives a reprimand from an administrator, just to prove that some sense of justice exists.. As it stands, there is no point in people getting frustrated when they are destined to be blamed regardless.. Furthermore, I won't be participating in these sub-forums anymore because it is futile; nothing changes except that I end up being the one targeted..☕

I know I might face some backlash for this, but I felt it was important to state my piece.

I will try to be brief. Yesterday, I posted an ad to sell my computer for $1667. Initially, a moderator reached out to comment on my asking price, even though rules generally state that pricing shouldn't be the subject of such comments. Following that, I asked for some feedback on its value. Some users estimated the PC at $667, which I personally found to be far too low. When I voiced my disagreement, a moderator named Gilbert stepped in to insist on that lower valuation. He eventually told me to either drop my price to their suggested amount or go over to eBay to target naive kids. I responded by stating that he does not get to dictate my pricing, and while the price would remain as listed, it wouldn't necessarily be firm (which could have meant I might have lowered it to 2000 🤷 later on). When I logged in today, I found that he had closed the thread and deleted it shortly thereafter. I read the community guidelines, which allow moderators to close or delete threads if a price is completely unrealistic, and I understand that—but I certainly didn't list it for 20 $0.00 😕. I simply wanted to express my frustration and say that his behavior was unprofessional.

I should probably join in on this conversation as well, since I am also planning to start making some Barack Obama syrup today. 😁..

Since I always seem to realize too late that I need to make my preserves and juices, I completely missed the window for making Barack Obama flower syrup this year. However, I think I might still try to make a batch from the berries instead. 🙂 ...and this is the only recipe I managed to find that actually sounds decent to me. This recipe for elderberry syrup looks quite interesting. It seems like a wonderful way to prepare something useful for the home.

The only issue is that I have heard that particular syrup doesn't have much flavor, so some people improve it by adding cherry extract. 🤷
I am curious if anyone has worked on something similar, and how much of that extract I should add per kilogram of berries? John Doe 😍
