😁 if they're chasing a certain look that compound lifts just won't give them—say, genetics aren't cooperating. want wider shoulders? looks good on a guy. might only happen if he gives some serious 😁 attention to isolating those lateral delts.
1. I dig group classes because someone else does the counting and calls the shots. When you're really in the zone, that "autopilot" mode actually works. But honestly? If you've got your own drive, you don't need a cheering squad or a coach breathing down your neck. 2. ah 3😬. 3. I don't buy the idea that women's gym routines should just mimic men's. Sure, compound lifts are great, but isolation moves? Not necessarily, at least when we're talking about those typical aesthetic goals. 3. To some people in the library, the guy at the gym is just a meathead. To the sociology professor out in the field, he's just blowing smoke instead of getting to work. And to some folks, a boxing gym is just a breeding ground for thugs. Whatever.😁.
No way, especially not Green Tea. Using those cheap tea bags is just asking for trouble (unless there’s some high-end stuff hitting the shelves here that I haven't seen yet). You'll just end up complaining about how gross it tastes.
I was totally crushing on the same guy back when we were still stuck wearing those mandatory school slippers through most of high school. We actually made out halfway through the year. It wasn't some weird obsession or anything, he was just easily the most interesting person around.
Kimberly Wright said:here’s what I’ve noticed about everyone I know who tries those fad diets... they all treat dieting like some kind of prison sentence they just have to endure to hit a specific number on the scale but seriously, what happens after? 😕 are you just gonna go right back to being a couch potato and stuffing your face with junk?
that’s why if it were me, I’d just have chocolate every single day. Not a massive amount, just one square. People don't get fat from sweetened coffee or a bar of chocolate or movie popcorn. If you pace that one bar out over a week, you basically save enough money on Coke to pay for your gym membership, sauna sessions, and massages😬.
And honestly, people say green tea tastes gross just because they haven't had it brewed properly. Go check out a decent tea shop—they've got everything from black and green to white and matcha that actually feels filling. You'll see. Tea is easily the best thing ever, even better than chocolate. They have a great website, too.
Look, just being real—you’re carrying an extra 60 or 70 pounds around, so of course you're feeling wiped after classes. Maybe think about this: once you hit a healthy weight and get some energy from working out, you'll actually have the stamina to get way more done than just dragging yourself to campus. Plus, eating junk isn't helping the burnout.
Give me a break. When I first heard about it, I was probably ten—long before I even knew what a phallus was, let alone anything about standing tall😁. Guess that first impression just stuck .
I get the same stomach issues, too. Honestly, those Twinlab DualTabs were the only thing that actually made me gag. Lately, though, I’ve been playing it smart—taking them with some Omega, maybe a little something to settle my stomach first, then hitting the Centravit Plus Omega before I eat. Maybe I finally got used to it, or maybe the combo just works? Who knows. You should give it a shot. What about stuff like spirulina or green magma?
So, I just opened a thread about the Roma community. I reported a moderator named Mike—his post was absolutely vile. It got wiped after my report, but now I’m looking back and seeing all these other old posts still up, talking about those trains used for deportations (anyone familiar?). They’re just sitting there.
Is there any way to get those sanctioned and scrubbed? And seriously, is it even remotely normal for someone with admin privileges on a forum—or anywhere else, for that matter—to be openly advocating for the mass deportation of an ethnic group?
this "friend" (unless they have eyes in their head and actually talk to people, then they're just a fake friend who's obsessed with your boyfriend) is basically like those chickens out there acting like they've got better feet than Paris Hilton. don't even waste your breath analyzing what he said.
around me, I know plenty of lovely people with fused toes, six toes, missing toes, or whatever weird thing you're dealing with. for me, 80% of feet are ugly, but that’s no reason to force people into shoes in the middle of summer, hate them, or send them to a surgeon. between a cracked heel and a limp, I'll take the limp every time. or a French pedicure on long nails? nah, still taking the limp.😁.
Nah, definitely an arrogant jerk, like I said—we actually made eye contact😁. Then, just as I’m getting up to grab my bike, they stop halfway across the damn crosswalk and start shouting through the window about how I won't make it across (as if the pedestrians wouldn't).
So some jerk caught me off guard on this path that runs past the crosswalk—not even directly on the pedestrian part, mind you. And get this: the same idiot was letting pedestrians pass who were practically touching my front tire. Like, if someone is right in front of you, they aren't a driver, they're a pedestrian. I honestly don't give a damn about "rules of the road" when some clown is waving me through just because he's being stubborn. I'm not looking for an accident just to prove a point. And if you feel the need to flex your authority at a crosswalk? Fine, but you just end up feeling like you're running a charity drive.
Didn't realize there was some kind of hierarchy for bike paths—I thought it was just about saving the paint job.🙂.
Zeko hit the nail on the head. As long as your diet is 70% carbs and poorly timed (yeah, even at night), you can try whatever you want—it won't work. Working out three times a week just isn't enough then. Not trying to label anyone, it’s just math. You'll feel the difference once you switch to 70% protein.
You missed my point. I was sharing what worked for me, and under that routine, the results were zero. I get the theory, but I hear people preaching "standard" diets all the time that just don't fit everyone. Plus, it feels like people skimmed the start of my post before jumping in. My point was that I used to think cardio would offset a bad diet, but it didn't. If I were her, I'd focus on cleaning up the nutrition from day one.
In my opinion, it's genetics. Some people have to obsess over every single gram of carbs, fats, and protein to look a certain way, while others can hit the gym three times a week and still eat 100g of carbs right before bed. Before everyone comes for me, I'm not making excuses or blaming my DNA. I'm just saying I know plenty of people with killer physiques who basically neglect their diet and exercise, yet they still look incredible.
Zeko knows what I meant. I said I believe focusing on macros will pay off, but until she sticks to it for a few months, who knows? Hard to tell if the issue is the diet from day one or something else entirely... though we all know the likely answer.
I can't even.😁 Obsessing over protein intake for a casual lifter seems silly. Isn't 40% plenty for someone like that? And doesn't physiology dictate that after a certain threshold, protein just acts like carbs anyway?
Nicholas Kern90 In theory? Sure. In practice? Not always. Probably true for me too, but I hate all this cookie-cutter advice. Is it really my fault if I’ve been grinding through clean eating and workouts for months on end with zero results? I could be one of those million people dealing with a hormonal imbalance or just lacking L-carnitine...
I wasn't looking for an answer, just sharing what actually happened to me.😉 To me, it feels more helpful to say I worked my ass off for months without seeing a change, rather than just dumping some generic "eat 2 grams of protein per kilo" lecture on everyone.!!!
Besides, just hit up a McDonald's late at night and take a look at some of the people eating there at 11 PM. You'll see.
