I wanted to go back and edit the post I made a couple of days ago, but I can't for the life of me figure out where the edit button is hidden. This forum is unnecessarily complicated. I had no trouble navigating other sites, but this one is something else.

I’d actually like to understand why this happened, if only to avoid making the same mistake twice. I haven't touched that thread in a while—maybe that's part of the problem? I'll go ahead and repost it.

I’m running into the exact same issue. I can’t find the specific thread, though I managed to track down every other post I've ever made—except for this one. I actually only found my own history by typing my username into the search bar. Is it possible a moderator wiped a thread I posted just a week or two ago? And if they did, what would be the reason for that?

Mapokon worked because I finally realized the code doesn't actually render into an image until you hit submit. I only caught on when the picture actually showed up further down the thread. Even those "for dummies" guides don't mention that part. The code popped up instantly, but clearly, I'm just a bit slow on the uptake. Thanks to everyone for the help.

This is actually hilarious—just look at these photos of little Žuža up for adoption!👍 I try to do everything by the book in my post, but all I end up with is a wall of raw code instead of any actual images.😕 Okay, maybe I’m not totally hopeless. But even then, the post just displays a dead link while this thread somehow managed to turn the link into an actual picture. Honestly, these computers seem to have a mind of their own sometimes, and they drive me absolutely insane. So, where does that leave me? Help! Why won't the photo show up in my post? For the hundredth time.

Thanks, rapidrider3, but I’m spinning my wheels here. I’ve uploaded photos to other forums without any drama, yet here I am, trying again and failing miserably. I’m following the instructions to a T—that link from Maykijev is top-notch—but it's just not working. I resized the image, I copy the code and paste it into the post, and yet, for the hundredth time, all I see is the raw code instead of the actual photo. It’s incredibly frustrating, but I refuse to let this win. The files are sitting right here on my hard drive; I'm not pulling them from some random site. 😠

👎(sighs deeply and embarrassed) I just can't get this to work. Maybe I'm using a different version of Tinypic, but when I hit Brows and select my photo, instead of opening up the Host Picture option, it just prompts me to upload. Once I finish that, a new window pops up where the image is on the right and a bunch of code is on the left. I copied the entire string of code and pasted it into the post, but all I see is the raw code—no actual picture. I made sure to paste the WHOLE thing. And here's the kicker: in that second step, it doesn't say "successfully hosted," it just says "uploaded" followed by the code. When I tried to click it a second time, I couldn't even copy the code anymore. I noticed the same issue on previous posts, but back then, it wasn't showing the full code block. Honestly, I’m just a total airhead. Sorry, I need help again.🤷

Hey James Chavez91, thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for! Great breakdown, and using Tinypic makes it so much easier. I tried following some other instructions yesterday, but I completely missed step two. I’m going to give it another shot now. If I fail again, I’ll just have to quote someone on Reddit and say, "Am I really this dense??" I wanted to add an emoji, but I don't see any here. James Chavez91, where did all the icons go? Where on this site can I find the official guide for uploading images in a post? I feel like I saw some detailed, step-by-step instructions somewhere before, but now they’ve completely vanished. Honestly, trying to follow the random advice people post here is way too complicated for me. Where exactly am I supposed to click to find the actual manual? I haven't seen anything obvious. Help please.
