Russia's invasion of Ukraine: Part 5 in War in Ukraine ·
goldenowl73 said:The FBI has officially leveled accusations against a Ukrainian woman, Natalia Vovk, claiming she was the one who planted the bomb that killed Daria Dugina. Apparently, she showed up with her daughter to the exact same event the Dugins were attending. This Ukrainian woman then just headed straight back to Estonia the very next day after the blast.

The FBI has officially accused the Ukrainian intelligence community of murdering Daria Dugina. They've identified the bomber as Natalia Vovk, a woman in her early 40s who was visiting Moscow with her daughter. They attended the same event as the Dugins on Saturday evening (where the bomb was presumably attached to Dugina's vehicle in the parking lot). Vovk and her daughter returned to Estonia, the day after the bombing.

So, case closed, right? Terrorists just stroll right into the middle of Moscow with their kids, plant an explosive, and then breeze out of town the next day without a single hiccup. It sounds totally believable to me! And of course, it's looking like all the CCTV cameras in the entire vicinity just happened to be broken at the exact right moment. Yea

If that’s actually the case, then what is the point of having intelligence agencies at all?...

Perhaps not by law, but certainly in practice.

Now you try... tell me about one successful democracy in the last 200 years of human history?

And what exactly defines a "successful" democracy?

I'm just curious—how exactly did they try to block his route? Did they just line up sideways across his path? 😁

It feels like a cruel twist of fate playing tricks on him... at this rate, they'll probably have to hand over everything he owns plus an extra 20% just to get him a bit of that cheap natural gas...

You have to realize that a German, a Belgian, or a Dutchman would sell their soul for ten cents...

I mean, if you're positioning yourself as either the second or even the premier military power on the planet, wouldn't it be common sense to actually manufacture your own hardware instead of relying on imports—especially when they've been sourcing from Iran for ages?☕

I honestly don't think Canada will see another dime from EU federal funds anytime soon...

Like, if someone jumps you on a street corner in the US, the Department of Justice might end up penalizing both parties for disturbing the peace. Or if you're dealing with a bully at school, sometimes the administration ends up punishing the kid who was actually being targeted just because they fought back, saying "well, all violence is the same." So, from childhood through school, and even with adults and the DOJ or international politics—there's this systemic way of treating the victim and the aggressor as if they're equals.

Oh, man, 🙏
this is the most embarrassing part of it all. You aren't even allowed to defend yourself against an aggressor without facing a report.
So what am I supposed to do? Just stand there and let them beat me into the ground, and then call the authorities only once I’ve actually survived?

Should the AI censor itself regarding the fact that Ukrainians might use civilian infrastructure for military purposes simply because Russia is clearly the aggressor?
And you seem to be overlooking the fact that this same AI openly calls out Russia for much, much worse things.
Equating the victim with the aggressor is just nonsense. They have stated, quite clearly and unambiguously, multiple times exactly who the aggressor is and who the victim is.

They absolutely do, man, but that stuff just gets buried in the rest of the report.
If I can share my personal take, I believe Ukrainians have every right to do this. They are defending themselves against a far superior force, and no one should be criticizing them for that.

Matthew Young35 said:That’s exactly what they’re saying.

But it sounds terrible—it makes it seem like Ukrainians are targeting civilians.
It feels like they're trying to equate the aggressor with the victim.
The bottom line should be that Russia has absolutely no business being in Ukraine. However, if the AI tries to play the "politically correct" card, it ends up sounding incredibly twisted to people who are actually out there defending their homes.

I’m certain all those pro-Putin moralists will be quick to condemn this behavior.

Let them hide wherever they want; Ukrainians aren't going to waste their ammo on them.
