Oh, I totally read the rules! It's just that the rules don't exactly align with *my* specific requirements. I mean, I'd really love to drop the city from my handle—you know, the one where tulips and hookers grow—and honestly, "girl" just doesn't fit my current philosophical definitions anymore.

Let a thousand flowers bloom!

Let's just leave it as is, Blood dim. Thanks anyway for the effort!

Busy right now.

Could we maybe switch it to New York City or something else? I’d really love to get away from using "girl" and "Amsterdam" in there.

Thanks so much!

Isn't waking up basically just shattering all those silly little biases we have about what's actually "real"?

But the stuff that would ACTUALLY make a difference? They won't touch it. They just shut it down. I deal with plenty of people like that in my neck of the woods.

So, what exactly is it that "THEY" actually need?

It is the man I am who makes me a misanthrope. Jules Renard 👍

On the other hand, isn't "knowing oneself" just a tired cliché? It feels like a way for us to treat self-reflection and spirituality as a little hobby while completely neglecting actual empathy and looking out for others in the real world.
Maybe there's a reason people say intellect and knowledge can actually get in the way; they can inflate the ego and turn fixed opinions into deep-seated prejudices. You see it all the time with those simple, devout folks who live modest lives working the land—they often seem much closer to God than the ones who think they've mastered all the world's wisdom.

...if "finding yourself" is just another way to run away from yourself and the world (which happens a lot!), then it isn't spirituality at all, let alone true insight...
...everything else is just hypocrisy and showing off...

In doing so, you end up failing those around you, creating a ripple effect that impacts people for generations. Introspection is necessary to find that inner clarity, which is a prerequisite for actually being of service to others.

...it’s been said before: if you don't have love for yourself, you can't truly love your neighbor... know yourself, and you'll find brotherhood with everyone... trying to love others without knowing who you really are? That's just a lie and total hypocrisy...
