I was reading something earlier about how certain species are starting to pop up in places they haven't been seen in decades, and it got me thinking about how much we assume about the "permanence" of nature. We often get so caught up in the gloom and doom of environmental decline that we forget that ecosystems are incredibly resilient if given even a tiny bit of breathing room.

It’s funny because I remember being a kid and hearing stories about certain animals being "gone" from our local woods, and then suddenly, a few years later, someone spots one near their garden. It feels like a tiny victory every time, but I always wonder if these small pockets of recovery are actually meaningful trends or if we're just seeing isolated incidents caused by a lucky streak of weather or something similar.

Do you guys think these small, localized "rebirths" of wildlife are a legitimate sign that things are turning around, or are we just seeing outliers in a much larger downward trend?
Honestly, you probably just picked up some nasty stomach bug
it’s nothing to lose sleep over, really
usually, by tomorrow you should start feeling way better and that vomiting should finally quit
the beginning is the absolute worst part—just total misery
try to take at least tiny little sips of water whenever you can
I remember when I was sick, even a single sip of water would send me straight back to the bathroom
but after a bit, some plain sparkling water actually helped me settle down
drink some herbal tea or chamomile—nothing fancy, just keep it simple👍 keep sipping it as much as you can handle
once you feel like you can actually eat again, try sticking to something light—maybe some salty rice or chicken
and definitely grab some non-carbonated mineral water to replenish all those electrolytes you lost
your body is going to feel completely wiped out
obviously, if this drags on for more than a day or two, just get yourself to the ER

And pregnant women should definitely stay far away from this stuff!

So, I went through ten sessions last fall... by the end, the water was still dark, though it did look slightly clearer each time... sometimes there'd be an oily film sitting on top, or just random little bubbles here and there. I know a few people who tried these treatments too, and everyone’s experience was all over the place—some ended up with greenish water, others had more brownish sludge, etc.

Long story short, I finished my ten sessions and just never went back. Why? Honestly, every other time I walked out of there, I felt so incredibly wiped out and drained that getting home was a total struggle... plus, let's be real, it isn't exactly cheap.🙄
How do I get rid of stretch marks? in Health ·
Look, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but there’s no magic fix to just make them vanish... eventually they might fade a bit, but honestly, once they do, they usually end up looking even more obvious than before 😢
And if you try to drop weight too fast? You’re basically asking for trouble. There's a huge chance things will actually look way worse—like, you could end up with even more of them—simply because your skin clearly doesn't have enough elasticity to bounce back
Homeopathy at Mayo Clinic in Health ·
I actually got my degree over in Canada 🙂

I first stumbled upon homeopathy about a year and a half ago, but I really started diving deep into using it this past summer
Back then, it was a total lifesaver for my cellulitis—which, of course, decided to make a comeback this summer—but because I jumped on the homeopathy right away, it didn't spread. It’s such a massive difference from before; back when I hadn't touched homeopathy, even five shots of penicillin couldn't do a damn thing to stop it
Nowadays, I’m mainly using it to help with focus and studying, though I still reach for it whenever I hit an acute issue (honestly, these seasonal bugs have been hitting everyone lately)
Oh, and I’ve seen the most incredible results on my dog, too 😉

At the end of the day, I much prefer natural healing methods—it honestly makes me feel terrible whenever I’m forced to swallow even a basic over-the-counter painkiller

Look, I don't know anything about the South or even what's going on in New York City—I honestly couldn't tell you if you paid me—but I’ve got my own homeopath over in Columbus and, let me tell you, she is absolutely incredible 🙂
Therion in Music ·
Look, personally, I didn't mind the wait one bit 😉—in the end, it was totally worth it
Therion in Music ·
I’m still absolutely speechless after last night’s show!!! 🙏

The only real bummer was that they didn't set off any pyrotechnics or sirens, but man, Therion was absolutely incredible! Seriously, the sound quality was top-tier—a massive upgrade from that total disaster we dealt with back in February.

As for laser surgery, I’m really not sure—at least not anytime soon, since my bank account is looking pretty pathetic right now.
Anyway, I’ve been wearing soft contact lenses from the very beginning.
But lately, I’ve been low-key freaking out because for the last month, I’ve been seeing these little tiny spots drifting around in my left eye (the one with the higher prescription). I’m thinking I’ll have to schedule an eye exam again, and honestly? I’m terrified it might be that retinal scarring stuff that leads to vision loss. I never had this before, and now it’s driving me crazy, especially when I’m trying to read... I really hope it’s nothing serious, because I know a ton of people deal with this, but of course, I immediately spiral and convince myself it's the absolute worst-case scenario. I don't even know what to think anymore... 🤷

To be honest, I don't actually know anyone else with such a massive prescription, but it still weighs on me knowing there are people out there dealing with numbers like mine.
I used to wear glasses, and I would constantly scare myself thinking about how thick the lenses were—even though they cost me a fortune and weren't even the basic kind! But I've been wearing contacts for the last four years, and man, my life has been so much better since I made the switch.

I'm only 23 and sitting at -9 and -14... my prescription has just been spiraling upward for the last four years straight. I can't even look into laser surgery yet because my vision isn't stable enough, and honestly, regarding those eye exercises—I've heard so many people swear by them, but I just can't imagine getting through a single day without contacts... plus, they are way too expensive. It's not that I don't believe in the help, I'm just skeptical about how much any of that could actually do for a prescription this high. 😢

I was actually just at an appointment with my ophthalmologist recently and I got so spooked about my vision that I went straight to get blood work done immediately. Thank God it wasn't diabetes or anything scary like that, but man, it is not a fun feeling being this blind when you're still so young... people with a measly -2 can actually be happy, I swear.

Anyway, Terry Gray60, just wanted to let you know you aren't alone in this. 😉
