So here's the deal: my motherboard has four slots, but right now I'm just running a single 8GB stick—pretty sure it's DDR4. Long story short, the stick finally kicked the bucket on me, so I've gotta replace it.
How do I figure out exactly which specific RAM sticks I have so I don't buy the wrong thing? I might just grab another 8GB, but if the price is right, I might upgrade to something bigger.
Hey guys, I need some help here—if there's already a thread for this, mods please move my post.
Basically, my Windows 10 desktop doesn't have Bluetooth, but I'm dying to use some wireless headphones. So, I was wondering if I could pull this off by buying these headphones:
Hey everyone, I’m running into a massive headache here and could really use some advice. I’ve got a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo that runs off a single tiny USB receiver.
The keyboard works flawlessly, but the mouse is completely dead. I mean, I can see the cursor sitting right in the middle of the screen, but it won't budge. I've already tried plugging the receiver into different USB ports, swapped out the battery, and even tried different mousepads, but nothing helps.
The set is less than six months old, and until recently, everything was perfect. Then it started acting up—lagging while I was browsing the web or just freezing mid-game. The cursor would stay visible, but it wouldn't move at all, then suddenly snap back to life after two or three minutes of waiting.
Now, for the last two days, it hasn't moved an inch. If I posted this in the wrong section, feel free to move it to the right subforum.
Seriously, thanks guys, I owe you one. At least now I actually know what's broken so I can fix it.

It doesn't have a fan, so let me say it again: just grab an 80mm fan with a Molex connector and plug it straight into the power supply, or get the 3-pin version if you've got a spare header on your motherboard.
You can screw the fan directly onto the heatsink if there's enough room between the fins, or—if you're desperate—just use some plastic zip ties (the kind cops use to cuff people 😁).
I'll buy one.

On that green balcony, that white ribbed part is the thing without a fan. When I touched it, it was freaking HOT.
So yeah, it definitely doesn't have a fan on the GPU, just like you guys said.
Thanks a ton to everyone who helped out. I'm gonna take it to a repair shop so a tech can just install the fan for me.
The last photo shows the bottom of the case (it’s just flipped over), taken from underneath that white "box" at the base with the red MS Platinum branding on it. Is the GPU in there? It looks like there might be another fan tucked inside, but I'm almost certain it isn't spinning. I put my hand near it and feel absolutely zero airflow.
Both fans are spinning like crazy—the one on the back of the case and the side one right on the circuit board (that's the motherboard and GPU, right?). Is that the fan for the graphics card?
The one in the back is bigger, so it's pushing way more air than that smaller side one. Neither of them makes any noise, though; they're super quiet. I don't know if that actually matters.
I'm losing my mind here. Is it possible the cooler wasn't mounted right, so it's spinning but doing absolutely nothing to cool things down?
I'll look into it, but here’s a quick question from someone who isn't an expert. Is it actually possible to just swap out the fan on a GPU if the card itself still works but the fan is dead? Or am I looking at replacing the entire graphics card?
So, here’s the deal. I tried reinstalling DirectX. Before that, I wiped my GPU drivers and did a clean install, but still nothing.
Even basic browser games on Miniclip won't run. That tells me the issue is either the graphics card itself or some massive 3D rendering error where things just won't load or play.
Has anyone else dealt with this mess? Any idea how I can actually fix or reinstall this stuff properly?
