Go ahead and start the thread! This feels different from those other lists where people just dump every mediocre live recording they can find 😁
The only person who recently made a thread like this was Anderlon about your concert footage, but honestly, it doesn't seem like many people are out there filming shows just to share them with us 😬
I don't have anything to contribute to the thread right now. I'll just mention the legendary concerts that served as the basis for massive documentaries—we actually have a separate thread for those already... specifically Woodstock and The Last Waltz, which was the farewell show for The band.
And since those are full-on movies, you won't find direct links on YT to just watch them instantly ☕

I think they just cut it short because they couldn't find anyone who actually fit the part. Tom Burke looks a bit like Orson, sure, but he’s got zero charisma... nothing at all.
Yeah, that was a massive mountain to climb, and they definitely should have played their cards differently there... but man, that opening phone call? Totally hooked me!
I have to disagree there. This is a total old-school cinematic gem where the plot actually relies on solid acting and sharp dialogue... You know, just when you think Hollywood won't take a risk without checking if it's "commercially viable" or playing it safe, they drop something like this on you! Plus, the cinematography is absolutely stunning. You can tell they obsessed over every single tiny detail. Definitely the most pleasant surprise I've had all year...
I am absolutely loving this! Beyond just having an incredibly convincing cast that really breathes life into every scene—not to mention those sharp, snappy dialogues—the movie feels like a genuine love letter to a specific era, both cinematically and historically. And that retro vibe? It’s spot on. It doesn't feel like some cheap aesthetic choice; it actually feels real. I had such a blast... 👍

My guess? They'd say WE Can set The World ablaze hold my Head on stable ground Watch as The Earth falls All around Keep my head steady While everything else just crumbles

Fair enough. We started out with more than five suggestions, so pushing for over ten would’ve just felt forced. I mean, sure, letting people vote on multiple options definitely helps smooth things over, but let's be real—interest levels aren't exactly through the roof either...
Alright, look, the average number of posts per current album is actually trending up, which is great news! But it still feels like a lot of folks just want to drop a suggestion and run, rather than actually hanging out in the threads. Our whole goal was to make voting feel less like a rigid rule and more like a shared activity where nothing is being shoved down anyone's throat from the top down. Basically, the first ten were just a "first come, first served" kind of deal...
Still, I'd love to see even more people getting the chance to kick off their own threads. If that happens, I could easily just pull back my own suggestion whenever...
Charles Ramos4 said:If you guys don't mind, I'm gonna save my spot for analogbear40 since it looks like they won't get their suggestion in on time anyway. I'll just hold onto mine for one of the next polls instead! Seeing all these cool ideas actually makes my decision way easier... 🙂
Sure thing! We'll save the 10th slot for analogbear40, assuming they don't show up for number nine. 🙂
Anyway, this thread has been such a huge win for me. Lately, I’ve realized I am absolutely vibing with Cymande and Jarre—it all started right here in these discussions. Not just the specific albums we have listed here 🙂, but their whole discographies! It’s wild to think about where this journey actually kicked off 🧐
Lisa Davis46 said:Steven Newman50, I absolutely loved your review! 🙂 I might try to catch it tomorrow, now that you've piqued my interest. Honestly, I only voted for this film because I've heard the director's name pop up so many times, even though I haven't actually seen any of her work yet...
You definitely should watch it, totally worth the time 🙂
I'm not sure if I can handle watching this, especially since movies rarely show scenes like that accurately. They usually sugarcoat reality... but hey, maybe it'll surprise me.
Actually, I didn't think the setting would be such a huge part of the plot, but the work at the meatpacking plant was shown pretty realistically, if that's what you're asking. Basically, the routine isn't even the main focus—it's just there as background—but it's still an industry, something everyday and normal. They didn't go out of their way to censor it or soften the blow for the audience. But more importantly for the story, it's about their relationship. At the end of the day, they're just coworkers who have to deal with each other every single shift.
