Sophia Hill22 said:jadedriver0 - You're just talking nonsense at this point... 🙄

As if you were the one talking... Everyone's name... So you spent the whole time trying to convince her how much pain she’d be in and how long she wouldn't be able to eat... blah, blah, blah. You're just generalizing your own experience and using fear tactics to scare people. You might want to take another look at exactly what you wrote before you go bragging about it...

My pain tolerance isn't exactly high; when I deal with pain caused by sheer volume, I can't even get out of bed... but this was actually less brutal. The reality is that it’s uncomfortable, but I suppose that's just the nature of the beast. It's surgery, after all...

I’ve read this entire thread from start to finish... and frankly, your experience is the exception, not the rule. I’ll give you this much: if someone hands their life over to an incompetent surgeon and ends up with an infection, that isn't exactly a "normal" outcome for nose surgery...

I assume you felt the same way, stormyharbor2. I wasn't suggesting that someone with a limp should just settle for whatever comes their way because you put it so crudely... My point was simply that one has to realize anatomy isn't like playing with modeling clay. You can't expect results straight out of a catalog without some serious intervention from a specialist like Nikolin Pišek to protect both your health and your appearance...

And how much does that even have to do with the States? I’d say it’s more about those social media influencers with their tiny noses, thin little chins, and massive chests...

You have to be joking...🤣I was simply sharing my own experience, yet you felt the need to get defensive and lash out at me just because I told you how things were for me...🤦Do you realize how absurdly ridiculous this all is... honestly...🤣Even if you claimed that periods are painful for you... personally, I don't experience them. It all comes down to the individual. But my take is this: when someone is facing surgery, they need to listen to every instruction and be fully prepared...👍No hard feelings, but you really need to learn not to speak for someone else...👎
Sophia Hill22 said:Sorry, Grace Thompson34—I misunderstood you earlier. It’s definitely wise to get consultations from several different specialists. But based on what I’ve seen here on the forums and among celebrities, I crossed Glumicic, Kinčl, and Ostojić off my list immediately.

I went for a consultation with Bedeković over in the suburbs—I’d heard nothing but good things about him. However, right before I was planning to follow up, a few terrible stories surfaced. Generally speaking, I’ve decided to steer clear of major hospitals. I have this nagging feeling they care more about their reputation than the patients, often running private practices on the side just to "get through" the hospital cases quickly. With my tendency to overanalyze everything, I wasn't willing to take that risk...

That left me with Bastaić, Glušac, and Tončić (though Tončić loses points due to that anesthesia scandal). Since Glušac is way out in Florida, I went to see Bastaić first. I liked him. I think I made the right call 😁
.
I didn't bother looking into people like Stanec or Džepina; there isn't much feedback about them on the boards anyway 🤷

.

What kind of anesthesia scandals are we talking about now?😢 👎, an acquaintance of mine is seeing him soon for a facelift😢...
Kate Taylor59 said:Listen, people say all sorts of things... For instance, when I had to go in for a gastroscopy, about 80% of what I read were these horrific horror stories that left me terrified... But once it was over, I just sat there laughing at myself for being so foolish. Everyone experiences these things differently...

My experience with a gastroscopy was fine too. I had to get one checked for H. pylori and I was terrified because of all those bad stories I’d heard. But honestly, those same people ended up helping me with advice. I just breathed through my mouth, didn't fight the tube, stayed calm, and tried to focus on something pleasant the whole time...👍
stormyharbor2 said:jadedriver0, I’m with you on this. It isn't some minor detail like everyone here seems to think... 🤷

I have zero patience for sugarcoating. Things should be stated plainly and honestly, though obviously, everyone's experience varies. My recovery from surgery hasn't been pleasant, to say the least, and frankly, nobody has the right to speak for me or tell me how to feel 🙄. That said, I am satisfied with my nose. Glumičić took good care of me, but if he hadn't met me during the consultation, or if I’d had even the slightest bad feeling—just like Tatjana would have told him to get lost and found someone else... ☕
stormyharbor2 said:I know that comment was aimed at me too, even though I've already stated fifty times that I'm not looking for perfection. What *I* consider perfect doesn't have to meet anyone else's standards. Everyone has different tastes.

It seems some people assume that if you once had a disastrous nose job, you'll just be satisfied with anything now. Typical Americans... 🙄

Stormyharbor2, you shouldn't care what anyone thinks.😉
Sophia Hill22 said:You're just talking nonsense... 🙄

The surgery doesn't hurt... you get anesthesia. 😉

Recovery isn't exactly a party... But it isn't about the pain...It didn't work on my end, either... Another embarrassment... Well, damn... you've got a tampon shoved up your nose.

I haven't taken a single painkiller since the surgery... that should tell you everything you need to know about how much it hurts...

The undergarments look hideous, but they don't cause any pain...

It won't even cross your mind for two weeks... What a load of garbage... I ate that stuff for the second day in a row.

I fail to grasp your objective here—is it simply to alarm people with disinformation and constant worst-case scenarios?...

I was just sitting here thinking about the pain after surgery...🙄Only you know how that felt for you... Personally, I found breaking my arm much easier to handle than nose surgery. And who exactly are you to speak for me? Speak for yourself... When did I ever claim that bruises hurt? Good grief...🤣🤣Of course they don't hurt. It just varies by person... some drag on forever, while others pass by in a flash...☕It was far too crunchy for my liking. It actually caused me physical discomfort... my nose was aching from it. If you found it enjoyable, you likely just have an incredible immune system or a much higher pain tolerance than I do. Regardless, I won't be speaking for you...👎
rustygardener172 said:I feel compelled to weigh in on all these posts... Nothing is truly perfect, not even a nose. There isn't a single surgeon out there who can guarantee perfection... It doesn't exist...They’ll make your nose look absolutely flawless. Even people using Photoshop can't get it right... I was browsing the Victoria's Secret website a few days ago and saw a model in a swimsuit where they clearly enhanced one breast but completely forgot about the other... 😂 And this is supposed to be one of those famous sites where you actually expect a bit of professionalism... yet here we are.
There are only two types of people: those with realistic expectations and those living in a fantasy. If you can just get your feet back on the ground and accept that sooner rather than later, the outcome of any operation will be entirely different...
I think my nose is actually quite lovely. Sure, if I stare at it long enough, I can certainly find a few things I’d change... but where does it end, people? You can find a flaw in absolutely anything, or anyone...
Example...You go under the knife for a nose job because you were stuck with a bump that was far too large and crooked... then the surgeon just fixes it for you... TO was looking for it... I suppose I should say something... though I doubt it matters much. Everything feels increasingly hollow. Just more noise in an already loud world. Still, here we are.So now you're dissatisfied again. You look in the mirror and think your waist looks wider than before, so you're already eyeing another surgery to slim things down. In reality, it isn't actually wider; it just looks that way because it's shorter now and the hunch is gone. It's an optical illusion... pure logic. Still, I suppose the doctor could fix that for you too... The situation remains unchanged... No progress to report. Now that the hump is gone, leaving behind something smaller, flatter, and narrower... looking at it, you realize it would have been better if the tip wasn't shaped like... well, I don't even know anymore. It’s a never-ending cycle. And just when you think you're done, you feel this tiny little bump. You can't see it, but you can feel it if you go looking for it with your finger... and then you lose your mind all over again. After all those surgeries, the recovery, and the sheer amount of money wasted, you end up with a bump on your nose anyway. So, once again dissatisfied, you start hunting for the next surgeon to fix that invisible imperfection. (This isn't directed at anyone here, and I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone dealing with something similar. If it helps anyone... I'm the one with the invisible bump...) 😁 )
Try connecting this to the theory of time travel... change one single thing and everything shifts. One action triggers the next. It's all a chain reaction. Except, when it comes to nose surgery, you can at least lie to yourself about the outcome... I’ve finally crossed the line... It is high time I learned how to actually be content with my own company... If you’re still searching for flaws to justify another surgery... just stop and ask yourself something. Do you actually need a plastic surgeon? Because maybe the issue isn't your nose at all. Maybe your nose is just where your dissatisfaction decides to show up...Period.

I agree. You have to be realistic. You can't go around demanding perfection like some influencer on Instagram—they only exist because they represent an impossible standard. In my view, if you just focus on that one specific flaw that bothers you most, fix it, and then move on, you should be satisfied. Instead, people insist on hunting for defects in everything...🤷
rustygardener172 said:It doesn't hurt at all. I had two procedures done, and neither caused any pain whatsoever. It just makes breathing through your mouth irritating, and you can't wait to peel off all those pads and bandages just to see the results and get back to your life.😁

Again, everything is subjective... Having my tonsils removed was devastating for me, the pain was unbearable... while for some, it was nothing at all. And the pain after a tonsillectomy varies as the years go by... kids don't feel much... nose surgeries are always the same story.

It really all depends on an individual's pain threshold. Getting my wisdom teeth pulled was painful, but my friend Anne felt fine—hardly even any swelling.😂
Kate Taylor59 said:How can you claim it’s going to hurt if you haven't actually had the surgery? As far as I know, it doesn't really hurt, just uncomfortable, obviously...

I had my rhinoplasty done by Dr. Glumičić five years ago😉, and I suppose I’m the only one he actually did a decent job on. Since then, both a friend of mine and her relative went to him, and he absolutely botched their results...👎It's a total lottery.🤷And yes, it damn well hurt. I was swollen, lost all sensation in my nose for a while, and the nausea was relentless—I felt like vomiting for two weeks straight. I could only stomach semolina porridge; I haven't been able to look at it since.🙄
Kate Taylor59 said:It all comes down to expectations. If someone has a truly terrible nose, they’ll be happier regardless. But if there isn't a major flaw, I doubt they'll be thrilled...
I was trying to say my health matters more than looks, and I have no desire to risk my wellbeing just for aesthetics. But honestly, what can I do when I'm stuck with this damn potato for a nose? 😂
Plus, the recovery sounds daunting. I don't want to suffer through it, especially since my throat is already as sensitive as a chicken wing...

Look, let's be real. It’s going to hurt. You'll deal with swelling, dark circles under your eyes and around your nose, and blood in your throat. It won't be easy. You won't even be able to eat anything crunchy for at least two weeks. Your nose will stay swollen for quite a while, and you won't see the true results for six months. And even then, reality rarely matches the perfect image we hold in our heads. There's always some level of disappointment. Think long and hard about this one...🤷
I feel compelled to respond to that post by Tatjanin. If you don't establish a genuine rapport from the start, do not—under any circumstances—let that person touch you with a scalpel.😲🙄It becomes painfully obvious they won't invest any real effort into your case.🙄They’ll just churn through you for an extra $2,000. If you aren't happy with the results—which is almost certain because they didn't actually see you, listen to your desires, or care about your concerns—well, too bad. You'll end up at a second consultation expecting the very thing you asked for the first time, only to face more nonsense... and don't get me wrong, I don't pity those who go back to the exact same surgeon for a revision. In my opinion, they deserve what they get. How in God's name can you trust your face and body to someone who already failed you so completely...🤷👎 😢If your nose isn't massive and people already consider you a beautiful woman, don't go risking it all.🤷
Kate Taylor59 said:Trust me, nothing could possibly be worse than my current nose... ://
Are you actually planning on getting surgery? With whom? :O

No, she’s a close friend, so we're just looking into things on her behalf. But honestly, it's infuriating how many horror stories I'm hearing lately... even the basic secondary procedures turn out to be total disasters. People end up with bulbous, potato-shaped, or flattened noses with weird indentations—how can I even describe it? Just uneven...🙄😠
Kate Taylor59 said:😲 was crying 😢(now I'm actually worried...
so what, you can't breathe for seven days? fine... sounds like my surgery might have been a waste of time after all... thanks for nothing...

I personally know several women who went through nose reshaping, and every single one of them is unhappy with the results. Some ended up with noses that are even larger and more swollen than before—even three years later—and some still need corrective surgery... honestly, just forget it...:2up:🙂🙂What a joke...😠🙄
Honestly, I don't get why Zambelli doesn't have any photos on their website. Is it mandatory to show up for a fucking consultation just to see what their work actually looks like?😕🤷🙄Has anyone here actually had them perform a rhinoplasty?🙏🙏🙏
Any experiences? Has anyone actually sat in his chair? Was the rhinoplasty result actually decent? Any major complaints?☕

Carol Parker said:I feel like I really ought to go get my stomach checked out. I was watching some medical segment on CNN earlier, and they were talking about how those specific symptoms can be a major red flag for something more serious. It’s probably nothing, but I guess it might be worth seeing a doctor just to be safe.
I guess when you start dealing with those nasty, life-threatening illnesses, one of the first things that happens is your stomach just completely turns at the thought of meat. It’s like, suddenly, I don't even want to look at a burger, let alone eat one. It’s a weirdly specific way for the body to react, but maybe it's just its way of saying, "Yeah, we're definitely going through something right now."
Honestly, I can’t even begin to tell you how much of a nightmare it was. I was dealing with some pretty intense gastritis and that whole *H. pylori* situation, and man, it just knocked me sideways. It wasn't just the stomach stuff, either—everything felt totally off. I guess you could say it just sent my entire system into a tailspin, if that makes sense. It was pretty overwhelming, to be honest.
Look, I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking this, but I feel like I should probably mention that this might actually have something to do with your stomach. Just a thought.

I went through the exact same thing. H. pylori and an ulcer. Meat becomes unbearable. The smell, everything... it just doesn't sit right. 😢On top of that, I have a severe allergy to red meat.😢👎

I’ve dealt with this since I was a kid. Meat would smell off to me, and just looking at it made me nauseous. Everyone thought I was just being dramatic because I’m so small-framed... they assumed I was making it up.🙄👎It wasn't until last year that I finally found out the truth: I have a severe allergy to red meat.😢I suppose we all need to start listening to our bodies. If something feels wrong, there’s usually a legitimate reason behind it...☕
Kate Taylor59 said:Oh, she’s just some model... 🙂

In my case, the procedure worked for both health and aesthetic reasons, and I’m satisfied with the result.🙂😉🙏This one really messed up😲,though maybe that was her intention🤷... I explained exactly what I wanted, and he executed it perfectly, as if he had pulled the image straight from my mind.😍
Kate Taylor59 said:That wasn't me, that was Lana Jurcevic 😕

I'm talking about those photos you posted, the ones Glumicic worked on.☕
Kate Taylor59 said:I agree with you. Honestly, I’m convinced Lana Jurcevic had her nose done because that shape isn't natural... it’s just too perfectly slim and beautiful...
hmm, is it really that expensive?? ugh... and Zgaljardic is asking for up to 20$0.00...😲
I have no idea what technique Zambelli uses, unfortunately. One should probably go in for a consultation... I'm just curious if the pain is any less if they use a closed technique...

With Zambelli, we could try to add some volume using cartilage, otherwise you'll end up looking like one of those cat women🤷, I can't remember the name of the one who went way too far with plastic surgery. It's a shame, you're a pretty and sweet girl. But hey, if you're happy and satisfied, that's all that matters.🙂
