wiredcanyon48 said:HELP ME...... okay, so here's the deal. My last period was back on December 15th... and now it's already February 2nd. I'm dealing with this absolutely horrific, stinky discharge that is seriously killing me. As for spotting? Nothing at all. I haven't even taken a pregnancy test yet, but my period was already 15 days late last month, and now it’s late again. What should I do??

How can you be so reckless with your health?🤷
Sophia White8 said:Of course it doesn't say that... nowhere. Not anymore. It's basically just limited to hospitals now. These days, it's really just stickers—only people with disabilities get priority.

My bad then, I guess. 😁But around here, you see it everywhere—banks, retail stores, the police, everywhere.🤷
Sophia White8 said:I was just a day and a half away from giving birth when I found myself standing in line at the local VA hospital. It wasn't that anyone pushed past me or anything, but honestly, nobody went out of their way to let me through either. I ended up having to ask a security guard if there was any way I could get a chair, because it seemed like absolutely no one even thought to get up from those lounge chairs to make room. It was pretty unsettling, I guess.
The worst part, though, had to be the women in their 50s and 60s. You’d think they’d have more empathy, since they're basically grandmothers to everyone else's little ones...

Sorry to ask, but does it actually say pregnant women get priority?
If it's written down, then fine, let's go for it. I mean, if someone can wave a disability card while standing better than I can, then I guess I can wave my pregnancy status too. Believe me, I'm not ashamed. 🙂
Paul Campbell3 said:Honestly, the way people have been acting lately has my blood pressure through the roof, especially those married types with kids. I barely even muttered that I was pregnant—and that’s only because I absolutely had to (not counting my inner circle or close friends, obviously). To me, this is a private matter between me and my partner, but suddenly everyone starts jumping down my throat like it's some kind of public announcement 🙄 The worst part? All these women who didn't even give me a second glance before—because I wasn't part of the "mom squad"—suddenly started coming up to say hi. 😬 It was incredibly disappointing. It turns out none of what you've actually accomplished in life matters, and it doesn't matter who you are as a person; apparently, your entire "value" is suddenly validated just because you're bringing a kid into the world. 😲

I knew this was a thing, sure, but I never realized just how blatant it was until I felt it hitting me personally.

Then come the endless, unsolicited recommendations and advice from "expert" moms and trendy pregnant ladies, completely unprovoked 🙂

And yeah, if I kept going, I could probably list a dozen more gems like that...

It’s the same deal with my mother-in-law. Before I got pregnant, we could basically butt heads whenever we wanted. 🤮
Now she’s constantly hovering over me, and honestly, she irritates me even more than before. 🙂
Part of me wants to tell her, "Look, it's just the two of us now," but I feel bad since it's my husband's mom... man, people can be so difficult. I guess the best move is to just listen to neither of them and ignore it! 🙂

As for all that "advice," I probably shouldn't even go there. 🙂
Jerry Bailey47 said:I totally agree—especially at places like Chase or those DMV waiting rooms. It’s always sweltering in there, just breathing in stagnant air. You’re basically begging to pick up every virus passing through. Gross. 🤮

Jerry Bailey47 said:The only thing that actually got under my skin was the passport fee, $132, I mean—are these people out of their minds???? 😲

No, those prices are definitely not normal 🙂
As for me, I can't stand waiting. I just unzipped my jacket and headed out. You should see how big my bus is, so maybe it's only a 10-15 minute wait at most.
Michael Martin4 said:It was actually kind of sweet when a couple of my guy friends were messing around and poking my stomach one day 😍 I mean, one of them has been my absolute best friend for ages, and the other is basically just my girl friend's boyfriend. It didn't bother me at all.
Lately, people I'm not even that close with haven't really touched me🙂

And look, it’s not that I’m super annoyed or anything, but it feels weird how everyone keeps badgering me about getting married, like they're worried about how I'll have kids if I'm not married or something.😲😲
The second they find out I'm pregnant, it's nothing but "So, when's the wedding?!"🤣😕

It’s kind of sweet at first, though I guess it gets old eventually. But I'm pretty high-energy, so maybe I'm just different... I think I'd probably lose it if someone touched my stomach (besides my husband or my mom).🤣 🙂
Kate James said:Honestly, I’m not even particularly thrilled by all this; I just find it hard to believe how people think they have a right to stick their noses into business that isn't theirs. From commenting on a pregnant woman's weight or the shape of her belly, to questioning her marital status or what she plans to name the baby... it's relentless. One woman actually had the audacity to try and feel my tiny bump. ☕

Some random lady actually grabbed me right there in the grocery store... good grief...
😱😱😱🙂
Nobody calls me fat because, honestly, I’m not. If anyone tried, I’d probably just give them a very polite response. Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I've turned into an elephant or anything. We all know what being overweight actually looks like, right? 🙂
So, some idiot at Target slammed their shopping cart right into my stomach this morning. Honestly, you wouldn't believe it—she just appeared out of nowhere like some total menace. I ended up snapping at her in front of about fifty people, and I'm sure everyone thought I was being rude, but maybe I was 🙂
I mean, where is the world even heading? 🙂
Way to go.
hiddenscout362 said:I've started noticing hair growing around my belly button🤦

Same here, and they're actually black... 🙂🙂
shadowfalcon43 said:It honestly drives me crazy that I can't get any actual help here and have to Google every single little thing... and then you just end up falling down these rabbit holes of total nonsense... either things are way too hyped up, or they're absolutely terrifying... or you read some horror story where someone basically drops dead just because they had a little ache on their left or right side.. 🙄I mean, I know I’m probably just making it my own problem... but it’s still so frustrating!

And it really bugs me how jealous I am of my husband... he seems to be doing just fine and nothing about his life has shifted, while I’m over here feeling like a total wreck... one day it’s physical, the next it’s mental... 😁

The only thing that actually gives me any comfort—if you can even call it that—is this constant gurgling, stretching, and twitching in my gut 😍😍

Ugh, tell me about it... seriously...🙂
I was actually moping last night about how much I feel like a balloon, and my husband just laughed. He told me I was being silly, which honestly just made me feel worse 🙂 and then I ended up crying for half an hour. But like you said... it really does help when this little thing starts playing soccer against my ribs 😍
😂
She’s basically driving me crazy right now. We talk every few days, and she lives over in Switzerland—she's actually expecting two babies soon, just after mine 🙂. She already has a little girl, and she’s constantly checking in like, "Are you eating enough?" Ugh, seriously? Just leave me alone, please. 😠 🙂
There are all these little things... you'll see how it goes. I've been through this exact same thing, and it's like she's never seen a baby before in her life. (Sorry if I'm being a bit blunt here, I'm just feeling pretty worked up.) 🙂
Man, I didn't realize quite how frustrated I was until just now. 🙂
Oh, I get it 😁
And honestly, they probably judge everything—what kind of pregnant woman you are, what kind of mother you'll be, even how big the baby will be...
I guess you already know that everyone else always thinks they know better than you
😂
Then there's all that advice like "sleep while you can," "eat for two," or "you really have to watch out for this or that" 🙂🙂🙂
It makes you want to pull your hair out, whether it's yours or theirs 😂
shadowfalcon43 said:Oh man, I totally get it now... the other day I'm standing in the bathroom trying to "get ready" and oops... I try to suck in my stomach just a little bit to see what I'm working with... but it's just not happening 😂 😂 ...basically... lately it's just been a series of ridiculous mirror acrobatics 🤣

(When I mentioned the belly, I was thinking about how everyone else seems to have an opinion on it, whereas we pregnant women 😉)

😂😂😂
Gosh, you immediately remind me of my mother-in-law and her constant comments: "Oh my goodness, you're going to be so huge!" or "The baby is going to be 10 pounds!" or "How are you even going to deliver that?..." 🙂
Man, part of me really wants to tell her off, but I usually just bite my tongue and say: "Well, you guys did it, so I guess I can too." 🤣
Me and my big mouth. 🤣
shadowfalcon43 said:and honestly, I never used to get how someone could be that incapable... but now I totally do. 😁 😁

but anyway, back to the whole belly thing... if it’s too big, it’s bad; if it’s too small, it’s bad... people just can't ever win, can they? 🙂

I actually love my little bump 😍 but I have to laugh at myself when I try to peek over it to see what I'm doing. I'm just lucky I don't slip in the tub! 😂 😂 😂
I guess there's always a way to make it work. 🤣
Maybe don't overdo the watering if you haven't got a gut
It feels like we've reached a point where a guy can't even get a shave 🙂 🙂
ironjackal20 said:It’s honestly driving me crazy having to wear headbands and hats all the time for the last two months. I have such bad gray regrowth, and since I really want to look put-together during my pregnancy, I’m constantly stuck using these little hair fixes.
I just don't have the guts to dye it until I'm through this first trimester.....

You can actually find some natural hair color options at places like CVS. I switched to those last month and they cost about $23. They have plenty of shades too. I’m pretty happy with how they turned out and I’ll probably keep using them after the baby comes, since my hair looks fantastic.
shadowfalcon43 said:It’s funny how quickly people jump to name-calling... personally, I wouldn't give a second thought to someone's opinion if I felt like I was just acting according to my own "mental state"... basically, if I believe my behavior is justified 🙂

EDIT: seriously, just relax... if you actually took the time to read through the last page or two of posts, you'd realize this whole thing got unnecessarily complicated... mostly because someone misread what was actually said! Or they totally misinterpreted it... or whatever. There was zero malice intended here... and heaven forbid anyone was actually attacking pregnant women with complications. OMG! relax!

Or maybe you should just watch what you say?
We can't know what's actually going on in your head at the moment; we only see what gets typed out 🙄. We don't see your actual reactions.
I'm sure you didn't mean anything by it, but it's probably best to be careful 😁
. Most of us are dealing with hormones anyway, right? 😁
Honestly, those unsolicited "helpful" tips from women really get under my skin. Like, "Oh, you should have done this earlier," or whatever. I don't care what anyone else did—this is my pregnancy, and I'll do things my way if I want to. 🙂 🙂 😠
Everything is just testing my patience lately, from not being able to even trim my own toenails to feeling totally clumsy. It’s driving me crazy, but I guess there are only about four months left to go. 🤣 🤣 🤣
