if it turns out to be related to your bladder, just relax a bit and let them check through the catheter and maybe poke at your abdomen in a few spots😛

I’ve been struggling with epilepsy for over 20 years now, and my mom, who's in her fifties, just lost one of her kidneys—and honestly, the doctors at the Mayo Clinic still haven't fully convinced us that the tumor is completely gone.
Whenever I feel like breaking down, I just think to myself: why am I complaining? There are people out there without limbs, or people who are blind or deaf...
so life just keeps moving.🙂

I finally made my decision, so now I'm just playing the waiting game until they tell me when to show up. Even though I'm third on the list, they said it won't be until next spring because Dr. Fauci is totally swamped.

Since I'm not in NYC right now and don't have cable here, I won't be able to catch that show, but you've definitely made it sound interesting.
I sent an inquiry to the TV station, but I haven't heard back from them yet.
Someone is heading my way from NYC soon, so maybe they could bring a recording if you're able to grab one.

Has anyone here dealt with this before?
Since I’m dealing with epilepsy and a standard EEG isn't catching the source, they need to do a more detailed study. Basically, they drill into the skull to place electrodes directly near the brain to pinpoint exactly where the seizure activity is happening.
After that, they’ll decide if surgery is actually an option. It should all be happening soon at the Mayo Clinic. Now, it’s just up to me to decide if I’m okay with going through with it.
It's the brain we're talking about, so it feels like a huge deal and isn't exactly common. Since I don't personally know anyone who's been through this, I figured I'd ask if anyone here has any insight or experience?

Nah, probably nothing much. I guess it just creeps up slowly anyway, so no big deal.

I guess the variables would be these:
temperature, effects
air pressure, effects
cloud cover, very minimal
comfort level, only if it hits you suddenly; otherwise, probably not
wind direction - doesn't really matter

That's how it works for me, since I have epilepsy.
Anything that triggers stress can cause a seizure.
But what actually counts as stress?
If you could just eliminate all stress, the epilepsy and everything else might just vanish.
But why would anyone want to get rid of stress entirely?
Stress can show up even when you get an unexpected birthday gift from a friend. That's still a stressor.
So, you shouldn't try to kill off all stress, because then you wouldn't have any happy moments either.
Which one is more beautiful?
