Finally, finally! Bravo, Charles Leclerc! Seriously, just a masterclass from the maestro. 🤪🤪🤪🤪
Don't even get me started, because there's no way those underachievers are pulling off a win after all this time.

Andiamooooooi Leclerc

Well, yeah, I mean, it wasn't exactly their smoothest first attempt with the box Leclerac 3.1, but I guess they really made up for it during the second round.
Hang in there, Charles! Let's goooo!
I mean, what can you even say? They just blew everyone else out of the water. That combination of the Mercedes chassis with the new engine paired with Lewis was just absolutely lethal for the rest of the field.
If they actually get hit with a penalty for this, they might as well just shut down the whole operation and start rewiring the damn cables...
Fortune favors the bold, I guess! 🙂

Tough break for Red Bull. Max really put some serious pressure on Bottas, leaving him wide open for Perez to catch up…
shadowmarlin22 said:Is there anyone out there seriously claiming Max is better than Lewis? 🤣

It’s like saying Kylian Mbappé is better than Lionel Messi, or Kawhi Leonard or Nikola Jokic is better than LeBron James. It just doesn't hold up.
There's still a massive amount of respect left to earn, which he probably won't do before his career wraps up...

Max is in great form right now, he's maturing, and he's got the superior car—though obviously, not every track is like this one where top speed is everything, but I doubt most of the trolls on this sub would even grasp that.

I mean, if you look at the whole season, Max has honestly had the better package. I guess you could say he really deserves the title this year. He’s already snagged three massive trophies, and man, there were so many moments where things just didn't go his way. Like, he should have cruised to a win in Las Vegas, but then those tires just completely gave out on him. And then there was that situation where he got knocked out by the guys from the other side—the same guys who ended up winning! Plus, don't even get me started on what happened in Canada. It feels like he's been fighting uphill most of the time, so yeah, in my opinion, he's earned it.

Honestly, I’ve got to say, there are two guys who just rub me the wrong way more than anyone else. One of them is just constantly dealing with that typical arrogant Dutch attitude, which is pretty exhausting to watch. As for the other one... well, I don't think he's even worth the breath it takes to talk about him.

I mean, honestly, I guess you could say Max earned it, and he’s definitely going to be the World Champion. It feels like it's just inevitable at this point, doesn't it?

They call these "epic overtakes"...
But I don't see anything epic about smashing the DRS button and passing someone like a Ferrari cruising past a beat-up old sedan on the interstate.🤔

I totally agree, the best stuff is when someone just shakes Rick off—like, seeing Rick in DRS is almost like he's just sitting there next to this guy or Fernando Alonso. You know, those cars that actually have some serious top speed…
Jason Campbell70 said:It seems some people actually believe F1 teams have bottomless pits of cash at their disposal.

I mean, you might be missing the big picture here, but just so you know, the budget is strictly capped by the regulations...
Jason Campbell70 said:Hamilton's performance today is on par with Schumacher back in 2006 at this very same track.
There’s motivation here, pure skill, and deep experience.
Let's just enjoy the ride.

Not even close,
it's an incredible result, but honestly, it feels almost unreal how fast he is on the straights—I mean, he's even blowing past cars while they have the DRS advantage...

I don't know, I guess it just seems like this dark-skinned lady has all the luck... it’s like she’s winning at everything, everywhere, all at once
Gary Palmer8 said:Sure, he hasn't snagged a point yet, but he did sweep the GP3 Series and FIA F2 over the last four years. Plus, he absolutely crushes his teammate on the track.

Sounds like you just woke up from a long nap yesterday, doesn't it?

I mean, none of these guys just fell from the sky. I'm definitely not trying to downplay Russell's talent or what he brings to the table, but we were really just talking about how much that dominant race car played a part here...
bluepuma9 said:So, we were looking back at those different championships from 2000 to 2004. Aside from 2003—where tires were basically the only thing making a difference—Ferrari had the best car on the grid, and they weren't just winning; sometimes they were a full second per lap faster than everyone else.
Even the Benetton back in '94 and '95 was an incredible machine. Looking back at '94, sure, maybe Williams had more raw pace, but their cars were way too twitchy and unpredictable to handle.

The race car stays legal until someone finds a loophole or a trick they didn't like, and then the whole team gets tossed out. It’s all fine until it isn't. ☕
As far as I can tell, Schumacher's race car wasn't disqualified or ruled illegal. So, if you ask me, it was just as legal as anything Mercedes is running today.

Maybe do a little more homework here. Benetton actually got disqualified a few times back when Schumi was driving because the race car just wasn't up to code with the regulations.

Honestly, all this talk about him being the G.O.A.T. is just pure fairy tale nonsense. A real G.O.A.T. wouldn't have blown it in a single race or qualifying session, let alone struggled against the kind of "competition" he had in Nico Rosberg.
It’s all just a facade. If things had gone differently, we wouldn't even be talking about PP's wins over Bottas and Rosberg. They claim those two are equals, right? Total parity. But then you look at the media coverage—the team principal keeps spinning stories about how Bottas is just the "perfect wingman." Meanwhile, James is constantly chirping in his ear, telling him to back off at Turn 12 so the Luxury driver can sweep past without losing time or shredding his tires. It's a setup. And yet, they still have the nerve to call them equals. 😍

With Nico Rosberg, there was still enough smoke and mirrors to hide what was actually happening. With Valtteri Bottas, there’s no mystery at all—he’s been very loud and very public about being the No. 2 driver. At the end of the day, it’s pretty obvious he doesn't have the talent to be in that race car on his own merits; he was brought in specifically to play the supporting role. ☕

It’s honestly kind of ridiculous. You look at the stats and see that Rosberg and Bottas have twice as many poles as multi-time champions like Fernando Alonso, yet those two are pretty much just mid-tier talents in the Formula 1 league. Sure, Rosberg is clearly the better driver of the two, but he isn't exactly operating on a different planet.
Look at the numbers. Fernando Alonso has only managed 22 wins in his long career, while Bottas & Rosberg have racked up 45. It just puts things in perspective. 🤦 And their win count is exactly the same...

Look, Rosberg is a hell of a driver. Why does Hamilton need to have some perfect, 100% win record against every single person on the grid just for us to call him the G.O.A.T.? That’s just not realistic. It's impossible.
In this modern era of Formula 1, none of the world champions have ever had teammates as solid as Lewis Hamilton. The guy’s been winning since his karting days, and he hasn't stopped since.

2000 Season: 10 wins for Ferrari, 7 for McLaren
2001 Season: 9 wins for Ferrari, 4 for BMW, 4 for McLaren
2002 Season: 15 wins for Ferrari, 1 for BMW, 1 for McLaren
2003 Season: 8 wins for Ferrari, 4 for BMW, 2 for McLaren, 1 for Jordan, 1 for Renault
2004 Season: 15 wins for Ferrari out of 18 races.

So, summing it all up, 2002 and 2004 definitely crushed the competition, but they weren't even close to what Mercedes has been doing over the last few years.

So let's go Mercedes!

2014: they have 16 wins, 3 for Red Bull
2015: they have 16 wins, 3 for Red Bull
2016: they actually have 19 wins, 2 for Red Bull
2017: they have 12 wins, 5 for Ferrari, 3 for Red Bull
2018: they have 11 wins, 6 for Ferrari, 4 for Red Bull
2019: they have 15 wins, 3 for Ferrari (though there’s some suspicion
that they might have played a little dirty), 3 for Red Bull
2020: they have 13 wins, 1 for Red Bull, 1 for RP, 1 for AT—though this season, others were winning mostly because of mistakes made within Mercedes.

Looking at all of this, Ferkan with Schumi, if we're talking about pure dominance, is just a kitten compared to Mercedes. And it was all proven yesterday when a master who hadn't even scored a point sits in a Mercedes and would surely win if his guys at Mercedes hadn't messed things up for him.
Man, I honestly feel for the guy. Maybe the only way to make it up to dear Russell is if they actually pick him up as a driver next season.
Dana Murphy4 said:I guess Mercedes-Benz never makes a mistake? Let's go, Sergio

I mean, I guess if Hamilton was behind the wheel today, they wouldn't have messed up. I'm pretty sure of it.

Look, Bottas, I actually like you—mostly just because of how much Hamilton does for the team—but man, this is honestly just pathetic...
mellowtiger83 said:You haven't noticed that George Russell would probably win easily even if he were wearing smaller shoes? He'd do it on his first outing in that car, and quite convincingly too—not that they'd let him lose in a Mercedes-Benz.

Forget Hamilton. Honestly, I've moved far beyond him.

Russell would absolutely crush him.

Look, I don't want to go overboard here, but putting Hamilton in a car like that would honestly be on a whole different level. That said, Russell really proved just how dominant that machine actually is. He absolutely left Valtteri Bottas in the dust out there. Honestly, if Ferrari hadn't decided to completely mess up their driver's race with those pit stops at the Mecca, I'm pretty sure he would have cruised to a win.

I mean, I honestly think even the folks over at Ferrari were probably caught off guard by that one. It feels like they might have sent their congratulations afterward, but you could tell they were still a bit stunned by how everything played out. Maybe they just weren't expecting it, I guess. 😁.
MacBook Air in Laptops ·
Hey there,

I was hoping maybe someone kind enough could give me a hand here.

I'm looking to sell this laptop, but I'm honestly not sure what a fair price would be. I picked it up back in May 2019, and it actually had a warranty through May 2021.
It’s in that rose gold color, so I guess it might appeal more to someone looking for something a bit more delicate? 😁 It’s been pretty well taken care of, though there is one little scratch on the lid in the top right corner.
Here are the specs: 13.3" screen with 1080p resolution, Windows 10 Home, a 256 GB SSD, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and a Core i3- 8145U processor.

It's basically the exact same model as the one in this link.

Thanks!
Which laptop should I buy? in Laptops ·
So, I’m looking to pick up a new laptop since my old Apple finally gave up the ghost after about six years. It’s definitely time for an upgrade.
What I really need is something with decent enough performance to handle some newer games every now and then. A 15.6-inch screen would be ideal because I travel quite a bit, and I’d love a high-quality display since I mostly just use my laptop to binge movies.

Right now, I’ve got my eye on this Dell
but I was also thinking maybe a MacBook Pro or perhaps something else entirely?
Does anyone know if it's possible to swap in an SSD for this Dell? And honestly, would that be total overkill for what I’m trying to do? I’m wide open to any advice or suggestions you guys might have.
The main thing for me is that it feels well-built and sturdy.

Thanks a bunch!
Best external hard drives to buy right now? in Computer Peripherals ·
So, I’m also on the hunt for an external hard drive. The main things for me are getting at least 1TB of space and making sure it has USB 3.0. I’d really like to keep the total cost, including shipping, under $300. My plan is basically just to store some files and maybe watch movies directly from the drive. Any advice or suggestions would be super helpful!

I was checking out this one

and then there's this one

Or maybe something else entirely?

Thanks!
