ruggedcrane22 said:Look, funk doesn't taste good—it smells. But jokes aside, these DM fans are absolutely flooding this forum with their concert impressions. Honestly, I remember when someone actually dared to criticize a huge American icon's fanbase once or twice; this current behavior feels like a total scorched-earth campaign against anyone who isn't part of the cult.
Narantxa said:The "monobrow" scenario—or what some might call the absolute doomsday of grooming standards—is something I’ve been ruminating on lately, and frankly, it’s enough to make one lose faith in the collective trajectory of modern society. It sounds trivial, I know. A mere cosmetic trifle. But if we look at the underlying implications—the sheer, unadulterated lack of attention to detail that this represents—it points to a much deeper, more systemic decay of personal discipline. I remember back when I was working a desk job in Chicago—a high-pressure environment where looking sharp wasn't just encouraged, it was practically a prerequisite for survival—and there was this one colleague. Let's call him Dave. Dave was brilliant, truly, but he had this... presence. An unruly, singular ridge of hair spanning his brow that seemed to mock the very concept of a razor. Every time he’d walk into a boardroom meeting, I found myself distracted, wondering how someone so capable could let such a fundamental aspect of their presentation slide into total chaos. It wasn't about vanity; it was about the *standard*. When you see this trend toward total aesthetic negligence—this "unibrow apocalypse"—you aren't just seeing bad grooming. You're seeing the death of the individualist spirit. We are sliding into a period of profound apathy. If we can't be bothered to manage the basic geometry of our own faces, how can we possibly expect to maintain the complex structures of our institutions, our economy, or our social contracts? It starts with a neglected eyebrow, and it ends with the complete collapse of societal order. It’s a slippery slope, and quite frankly, most people are already halfway down the hill. 🙂

stormyviper11 said:I’m generally not a big fan of encores, but there are those rare exceptions—those moments where you actually feel lucky to be part of the crowd that successfully bullied the performers into an unplanned extra set. Take, for instance, that first Divljan show at KSET (the one that popped up out of nowhere right after orientation week)—we pushed them into five or six encores. I remember being so caught up in the moment that I actually found myself playing the chords to "Chocolate" on my guitar, a song I hadn't touched in twenty years; it was completely spontaneous, totally unscripted. Or even that last Hungry Franz gig back in the day at the old OTV Home—I’ve been to enough of their shows to know they usually just wrap things up with "Hallelujah" and call it a night, but that time we managed to drag them into one more encore... There are a few instances like that; they aren't common, but they happen.
