James Allen10 said:If anyone needs custom airbrushing done on PC cases... hit me up at 555-012-8722... cheers, James Allen10

How do you typically handle your pricing? Do you charge by the square inch? 😂

I am genuinely curious about your process.

Anyway, what kind of rig are you running right now?

I'm planning on putting in an e8500, an ASUS VIA KT600 motherboard, and dual 3870x2 cards in CrossFire, along with a thousand-watt power supply.😁

👏 👏

How did you manage to paint that silver trim on the case?
Did you strip it off entirely or just cover it up?

Let me know when you have a moment.🙂

Regarding the grip issue, you might want to try some double-sided tape and secure the mouse against your palm 😬

Well, I was just bored, so I decided to play around with it a bit. 😁

I actually considered taping the mouse directly to my hand, but that would have made typing quite difficult. ☕

Please feel free to post your own photos of your PC Modding projects.

They should be working now.☕

Feeling a bit bored lately, I decided to try some PC Modding on my ergo 525 by giving it a brand new "skin."

The top plastic section is quite smooth, which means my fingers tend to slip around when my hands get sweaty during gaming sessions.
I attempted to fix this previously by applying electrical tape, and I have to say, aside from the aesthetic upgrade, 😂 the mouse has actually become much more functional.

I'm only 14, so I can't really judge which version was superior without my dad losing his mind over the whole thing.
But hey, the main thing is that it’s actually here now.

Take that over to a local glass shop.
I have a feeling they could whip that up for you for pretty cheap.

Terry Wilson3 said:I decided to try making my own custom panel (though things usually go sideways when I try DIY projects). I used a grinder to cut out the panel and a piece of acrylic, drilled a hole for a 120mm fan, and then glued the whole thing together with silicone since I didn't have any rivets on hand. Because my measurements were slightly off, the acrylic ended up being too large. Now, I can barely squeeze the panel into place, and once it’s in, I can't get it back out. I tried to peel the acrylic away, but it cracked—specifically right where I cut the fan hole. To make matters worse, I've run out of silicone and don't have a rivet gun, so now I'm stuck waiting until I can pick up some more supplies.
I'll post some photos of the damage a bit later.

I did warn you that working with acrylic isn't exactly the easiest task.☕

What kind of motherboard are you running?

Kyle Sanchez4 said:try testing the PC with MemTest86

My system ran Orthos perfectly fine for six hours, yet it kept crashing during CodeRed. Once I bumped up the CPU voltage, everything stabilized and the issues disappeared.

In case you aren't aware, there are actually class-action lawsuits being filed over high operating temperatures.😉

Larry Diaz38 said:So, I've downloaded Orthos. What am I supposed to do with it now?

I know there are plenty of hackers out there, but I certainly don't count myself among them.😉

Just launch the program and hit start. Let it run its course while you monitor the temperature using Core Temp.
Let it run for about an hour. If it doesn't trigger an error and the temperature stays below 60 degrees, then everything is looking good.

Larry Diaz38 said:I tried swapping in a new power supply, but it didn't change anything... My setup isn't exactly high-end, though my graphics card is decent enough.
I have an NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT (512mb)
I have 768MB DDR
The processor is 1.83Ghz

Edit: By the way, could you point me toward where I can find Orthos? I found a few things on Google, but I'm not entirely sure what they actually do...

Download Orthos and see if the system stays stable under load.
I honestly thought the guys from Des Moines would know a thing or two about computers.😁

Larry Diaz38 said:So, I picked up a new graphics card, but my PC keeps shutting down whenever I try to play a game... Then some guy told me to adjust the voltage, and everything seemed fine for a bit. But then I messed something up in the BIOS and reset everything to the defaults, and now my games aren't running properly again either. Thanks for any help. 😉

It is possible that your power supply unit isn't providing enough wattage.
Download Orthos from the web and run a test for about an hour.
If you encounter an error, let me know so I can walk you through how to increase the voltage.

Next time I head over to Best Buy or Micro Center (or wherever), I’ll definitely be picking up a round one.

It's easier said than done, ☕

this wider one is actually three times easier and much more pleasant to live with.

The only thing driving me crazy about this setup is how bulky these cables are!! Does anyone have any suggestions on where or how I should tuck them away??

I also need to pick up a new ATA cable for the DVD-romove; this one is a bit too wide!!

Well, you can just route the cables toward the right side and/or behind the motherboard. To secure everything, try using plastic zip ties.

Flat ATA cables are actually easier to manage than the round ones! 😉

Jesse Alvarez32 said:I only had two pins available and didn't have a jumper on hand, so I scavenged one from a card reader. I tried resetting everything back to the factory defaults, and it worked. Now, I've bumped up the FSB by 5, and I plan to push it even further soon.

You should just run it through Orthos for at least an hour to monitor the temperatures and make sure everything stays stable.

Jesse Alvarez32 said:I overclocked my memory and everything seems fine so far. I also messed with a jumper. What should I do if I end up pushing the clock speed too far?

Try switching from 1.2 to 2.3 for about 5-10 seconds, then switch it back.

Jesse Alvarez32 said:The temperature is sitting at about 50
I'm not entirely sure which specific board this is, but the specs mention it has a Hybrid Booster
The RAM is Kingmax

If anyone is interested, I can post a photo of my motherboard with the CMOS jumper clearly marked

I was actually referring to the BIOS settings. It's possible there might be a misconfiguration on your end.

Jesse Alvarez32 said:I am thinking about trying to overclock my Intel Pentium 4 3.0. When I attempted to push my Intel Celeron 2.4 (by just 100MHz), my entire system crashed after only a few minutes. I am using an ASUS motherboard.

Well, give it a shot. There is really nothing to lose by trying.
As for why your system might be crashing, it could be several things:
excessive temperatures,
a low-quality motherboard,
memory issues,
FSB instability,
and so on.
