driftingfox11, go see a GP and have them write you a referral for a psychiatrist... honestly, it might actually help... a friend of mine went for hypochondria—it runs in her family—and everyone’s doing just fine with treatment...
Also, maybe try some yoga or meditation? It helps you chill out... there's even that life skills course for young people... I didn't go, but my friends did. Apparently, it's a blast, lots of games and hanging out, plus the yoga stuff really settles the mind, sharpens your focus, and clears your head... once you learn it, it stays with you forever.🙂
Just Google it; you'll find plenty of meditation spots out there...
There’s TM (transcendental meditation), integral meditation... honestly, I have no clue what the actual differences are... then you've got Sahaja Samadhi through Art of Living over in Austin...
Supposedly they're great for chilling out, you just have to be consistent... plus, all you really do is sit there and do nothing. 🤣🤣🤣
Dealing with thyroid issues means I get hit with these insane hunger pangs and massive crashes if I don't manage it... After dealing with this for about 7 or 8 years, I feel like I’ve pretty much figured out my own body.
Now, I always carry some seeds from places like Whole Foods Market on me—they fill me up fast and they're actually good for you... You can also find various mixes at Walmart, but those often have raisins mixed in, which might not be your thing... Sesame bars are a lifesaver for me; they aren't too salty or sweet, and they hit exactly what my hunger is actually looking for.😉
There are also all those high-fiber cookies out there that are incredibly filling...
I assume they just bloat you up a bit, probably why they work. Either way, they're great and won't break the bank...
What I've realized is that the more I cut out white sugar, the fewer those hunger spikes happen. Usually, when they do hit, I just end up craving something salty anyway...
Hope this helps even a little...
