How have you been? I was just passing through Dublin recently and you popped into my head. 😁

I haven't actually made it to Dublin yet; I'm still back here in the States. 😁 I’ve been keeping an eye on the situation over there and looking at places to stay, but honestly, the idea of having to deal with roommate drama all over again is kind of a turn-off. Between the crazy high rents and the lack of available spots, it seems even tougher than it used to be. A friend of mine in Dublin mentioned it isn't quite the nightmare the media makes it out to be, though, and she said she'd help me look around once I'm ready. I was thinking about heading out this fall, but I really don't know...

I’m actually going to be back in the US for a longer stretch this coming fall. If you’re still around then, maybe we could coordinate something. 😁 I’d love to take a quick trip to a place like Chicago for a few days, or maybe somewhere else entirely—to be honest, I haven't seen much of my own country despite growing up here. Between the war years and the financial struggles that followed, my family just couldn't swing much travel (they simply couldn't afford it). So, I'm hoping to make up for lost time while I'm back, since I'll be around for a while anyway... and, well, we can always chat more via DM if you're up for it. 😁 Good luck with your decision, either way.

So about that trip to New York this fall—it was supposed to be a bit longer, but honestly? I think I'm better off pushing it back. 🤣

Just the thought of being on the same continent as Nancy Pelosi Jr. last week has me totally spooked, uff! 😬

That’s you talking; you couldn't have phrased it better yourself. Except, of course, you'd likely swap out cowardice for a superiority complex. As for the grit, courage, and integrity you keep preaching about, they are embodied right here in the figure of Ivan the Terrible—but you seem strangely silent on that point.

You went quiet as a mouse when he mentioned escaping from Putin's camp. What's the matter, bluecyclist64?

It seems you have a concentration camp living inside your head, and frankly, it looks highly efficient. Any functional brain cells in there have about as much chance of survival as a goldfish in a tank full of piranhas.
Regarding my silence:

It sounds incredible—though even I am relieved you managed to escape that madness.
And now, you'll actually have the opportunity to learn how to live a more modest and rational life.👍

Do you have any shred of shame left?

Are you really chiming in, Dženana Hari mat Hari, an FBI informant? You, of all people, lecturing me on shame?😒

cosmicgull52 said:What an absolute fool, sweating through sheer impotence and stupidity. 🤣

The leadership should have been thinking about Russian lives the moment they decided to chase imperialist fantasies in the 21st century. I'll start feeling sorry for them once this bandit horde of a Russian army retreats or flees back within their internationally recognized borders, only to be attacked there (which means never).

Until then, I can only watch the footage from Ukrainian drones and helmet cams, prepping a massive stash of popcorn for the retreat that's just beginning. 🙂

The "ignore" button is a wonderful feature, but the problem is that Americans clearly struggle immensely with using it.
Oh, my dear America...

Well, I have to give you credit—you didn't waste a single second on this forum while you were away. I hope you had a wonderful time!👍
Now that you're back in the First Galactic Empire, let's get those fingers flying across the keyboard again...🤣

Linda King said:I don't see myself reconciling with them anytime soon, but you never know... To start, I’d want to see them face an economic reset back to nineties levels, paired with total isolation, as retribution for the crimes committed in Ukraine. A few decades of that might set things right, and then maybe, just maybe, we could squeeze a single tear out of Russia—whichever eye it rolls from easier.

Back in the nineties, millions of people in the former USSR perished from sheer poverty the moment freedom, democracy, and capitalism arrived on their doorstep. But, of course, why should I care about that? Let's be polite—that's a pretty vulgar way to put it, but honestly, it's the truth.☕

Now that you've rejoined the First Galactic Empire, go ahead and smash those keys...🤣

I really have to share this with you—last night at my local coffee shop (the one right on my street), the playlist was nothing but the absolute best hits from the 70s and 80s right here in the States—all on my request, of course. 😁 I told the owner—who I know personally—that I was wondering if we could do a local playlist tonight instead of the usual foreign stuff, since I’m heading out tomorrow and I can listen to international hits whenever I want wherever I land.

His response? Well, let's just say the evening ended with him personally picking up his guitar and playing a whole set of classics for the entire cafe—then he formally closed up and locked the door just to avoid a fine for overstaying, which, in our neck of the woods, would be considered violating closing time. 🤣

It goes without saying that my flight the next day was quite the ride...🙏

I'm definitely down 👍 and honestly, it's almost a sure thing 😁 (not that I won't go, but this fall feels a bit too close for comfort 😬) so once you have your trip planned, we can hash out the details via PM. 🙂

It wouldn't be uninteresting to see two Americans as politically polarized as you two in the same room... though, I suppose it would probably be a lot less fun for both of you...🤣

It isn't quite that simple. I had assumed you shared some connection to the medical field, much like the main character here, though perhaps not in the same capacity—he is, after all, an obvious user.

Do you actually know how Pfizer arrived at their vaccine efficacy data? Mind you, I wrote about this on the forum a couple of years ago based on official figures released by that charitable organization.

In any case, bluecyclist64 is merely trying to nudge you along, though it isn't just 🕺

Are you really weighing in here, Dženana, you little NKV spy? I mean, do you actually have any shame at all, talking about disgrace like this?😒

I think I might have missed that part about it being "from all that madness," since it’s still noted down there. But, if we’re being totally honest—and this is just my subjective take, of course—this could easily apply to America too. You look at things like corruption or a broken justice system here, or you look at places like Canada, which feels like a barely functioning protectorate, or even Mexico, which is just a total madhouse. I guess there are plenty of spoiled bystanders and third-rate characters who would probably use those exact same words to describe Americans moving away to places like Ireland or Germany.

Look, that’s entirely your call, and I respect that. But I have to say, I’ve noticed that Russia never seems to inspire you to go beyond this occasional, half-hearted agreement with them. It feels like there might be something off about that, I guess. And if you decide to make a move, you might just miss the mark—kind of like how it happened to me, maybe.

Whatever, look, I’m apologizing. Not exactly from the bottom of my heart, but... well, I guess I actually was wrong.

I can't keep up with all of you...
boldraven3, you missed out. 🙂
The Coronation was spectacular, though the King and Queen were the only ones really carrying it.
Kate is clearly the Queen in spirit. The way she carried herself with that imperial crown... that’s how you do it. We were all floored during William's oath to the King. And Princess Charlotte? She's the breakout star of the whole thing. 🙂
They tucked Harry into the third row next to that unconvicted predator prince (who, mind you, actually wore a uniform unlike Harry), right behind Princess Anna, who was wearing a two-foot feather fascinator that basically made her invisible.
God, the British. 🤣

Edit: Everyone is obsessing over Queen Latizia, but personally, I thought the Japanese Empress was the real highlight. As for the rest of the European royals, honestly, what a snooze.

I mean, seriously? I’m just here with Nancy Pelosi and her damn purse... Ross 🤣 I’ve managed to dodge her successfully—so far. Even when I absolutely have to trek up to her neck of the woods, I always give her a heads-up about where I'm heading (usually around the Fulton Market District and that mile radius nearby), just so she knows exactly where I am and can steer clear... which lets me make my escape as fast as humanly possible.

Miami is a total non-starter. She mentioned she’s terrified of alligators, so we definitely won't be seeing her anywhere south of Kentucky. Phew! 😒

The real issue with cities like Chicago—and honestly, most of the US for that matter—is the chronic lack of alligators. Seriously. There’s zero reason to worry about Nancy Pelosi Jr. heading over there and making a mess of my hometown. Honestly? It's probably better if she just keeps her distance. 🙂

If I actually end up having to head into downtown whenever that happens—you know, since my mom is getting older and isn't doing too well—let's make a deal: you guys leave the area around the transit hub and that couple of miles surrounding it to me. 🙂 So, here you have it—Downtown, New Chicago, and the neighborhoods like Dubrava. Just laying it all out there.

To be honest, I'm not even sure if the vaccine is effective, and I suspect my symptoms from the virus would have been pretty much the same regardless of whether I was vaccinated or not. But, I suppose the mRNA technology itself shows a lot of promise, and I feel quite proud to have played a part in this experiment.

Honestly, this whole "Antifa" thing just gets on my nerves—it’s such an Unspoken, half-assed way for today's kids to act. 🤦 Is it really that hard for them to just say anti-fascism or anti-fascist? Apparently, they have to cut half the word out just to feel comfortable...

ANTIFActual ANTIFAntastic ANTIFAkers! (Or, if you want the real translation—just pathetic, fake losers.) 😉

They’re vague about everything, but when it comes to being anti-fascist, there’s zero room for being vague! 🧐

Ultimately, it is your prerogative to make your own decisions, and I find nothing controversial about that.
The genuine issue lies in the propagation of convictions held without any actual understanding of the underlying facts. This is particularly true regarding the "Phobos and Deimos" crowd.

The studies generally utilized two groups consisting of approximately 22,000 individuals each.

In the vaccinated group, there were 8 deaths.
In the placebo group, there were 162 deaths.

Eight represents roughly 5%... which implies a "success rate" of 95%...

The metric used was simply the "similarity" between the groups.🤣

But you hit the nail on the head—it was an experiment... though it certainly wasn't testing physiological immunity.🙂

Jerry Robinson56 said:Look, you have every right to make your own calls—no argument there.
The real issue is people spreading theories without actually knowing the facts.

They basically had two groups of about 20,000 people each.

In the vaccinated group, 8 people died
while in the placebo group, it was 162.

So 8 is roughly 5%... which means we're looking at a 95% "success rate"...

The whole point was "group similarity" 🤣

And let me guess, they ran the whole show themselves? Like, a secret operation they aren't allowed to reveal for 75 years... 🤣

Just imagine if Volkswagen or Peugeot decided to test their own new car and told us, "Hey, you can't see our data for the next 75 years, just trust our word that this thing is safe and fast..." 🤣

Btw, I've been jabbed three times—including the booster, just so there’s no confusion here...

The Coronation was actually quite stunning, though I guess the blame lies solely with the King and Queen.
Kate is truly the Queen. That way she carried herself with the imperial crown... it really worked. When William took his oath to the King (his father), I think we were all just completely mesmerized. And Princess Charlotte? She’s definitely the new star of the show. 🙂
As for Harry, he seemed tucked away in the third row alongside that unconvicted pedophile prince (who, mind you, was also in uniform unlike Harry), right behind Princess Anna, who wore such a massive two-foot feather headpiece that you could barely even see her.
Good grief, Americans. 🤣

Edit: Everyone is talking about Queen Latizia, but personally, I thought the Japanese Empress was such a cool touch. All the other European royals... well, they were a bit of a snooze, I suppose.

All I'll say is—my support goes to those 2,000 Republicans who were out there protesting. 🤣 It’s a small group, maybe a bit fringe, but I'm standing with them. 😬

Kate looked lovely with her makeup done, and she handled carrying that diamond tiara perfectly. Bright colors don't suit her particularly well (not that they suit many people), and she almost looked like some sort of red and blue macaw. But hey, it's part of the job, and I guess it's a small sacrifice for Britain. I thought Penny Mordaunt looked absolutely gorgeous, though. 😍 I didn't watch it live, but I scrolled through the photos and read some comments, and I have to agree, she did look a bit like Catherine Deneuve.

PS
The President's plane broke down, so I imagine the lady is going to be pretty annoyed. I can just picture her spending months picking out the perfect hat... why couldn't they just take a commercial flight?

Ugh, here we go again—the British Royal Family taking over the thread... who passed away this time??? 🤔

Just that privileged white family, probably the most entitled bunch in all of human history... 🤮 and yet, these supposed "warriors for the rights of the underprivileged" and the poor are all standing there swooning... honestly, world, you’re just gross and hypocritical! 🤮

If I do end up having to head to the States then (mostly because my mom is getting older and dealing with health issues), maybe we can agree that you guys leave the Chicago neighborhoods like the West Side and everything within a couple miles of there to me. 🙂 That would cover most of the major areas I know.

I really hope everything turns out okay with your mom. I guess I'm also feeling a bit hesitant about long-term travel due to my own family's health situation. Everyone is doing alright for now, but both my parents have their own chronic issues, and if things were to change, it wouldn't be something I could just walk away from easily. As for keeping our distance, I feel bad about it, but maybe we can just divide up the regions if that's what it takes to keep the peace. 😁>
