Biased moderation in the Tom Cruise thread

I’m reaching out to the higher-ups here because I’m a bit confused about why posts keep getting nuked in this thread regarding whether Tom Cruise is actually the "best" actor working today. To give a quick example, I just had a post removed after I tried to offer some perspective using international polling data—which, if you look at the numbers, shows him ranking pretty low, sitting at 100th currently and 220th all-time. It seems like instead of letting a real discussion happen, briskhound2 just deletes anything that doesn't align with their specific viewpoint. It feels like the moderation is becoming quite subjective and biased, which isn't exactly how a healthy debate should work. Thanks for looking into this.

I’ll admit I might have been a little blunt in my previous post, but the moderator's bias in this thread is pretty glaring; otherwise, there wouldn't be such an aggressive effort to wipe away any negative takes on their favorite actor.

Did you actually sit there and count all the negative comments? Because if you did, then they weren't deleted. So much for the "bias" argument... And just to clear things up for the back row—only ONE post was removed, yours. Any other admins can jump in and see for themselves if those "Stalinist methods" are actually happening or not.

So, they’re basically promising not to scrub negative feedback if I keep posting there? I have my doubts. I mean, if I were to upload results from some national survey or an earnings ranking or reviews based on any other metric, would they really just let everything stay up without deleting anything?

I think briskhound2 is actually a pretty solid mod. He rarely hands out bans and he's super easy to talk to if you need anything
