Honestly, you could just wrap some decent twine or string around the ladder and hang the ornaments from there.

I honestly can't tell what they used for a base in this , maybe some totally clear plastic wrap or even a mesh. Or perhaps they actually wrapped everything in fishing line, since that stuff is basically invisible.
I'll figure something out.

It doesn't have to be transparent; honestly, I wouldn't even mind just using some basic twine, since the decorations are what really catch the eye anyway. Besides, you can always pick up some fancy gold or silver ribbon if you want to 🙂

👋

So what? 🍿 I’ve officially decided to stop stressing over everything. 🙂 What are you all going to say now? Instead of "Christ is born," it'll just be "The Yule log is burning and the bread is baked." 🙂

I know we were hearing the same nonsense about changing the church hymns a year or two ago too. 🤦🙂

To me, it actually makes a lot of sense to just say Happy Holidays

I mean, everyone basically picks their own thing, since not everyone is celebrating Christmas or even observing Hare Krishna

It’s just fair

Look, nobody's forcing anyone—whether they're Christian or Muslim—to celebrate Christmas. People celebrate what they want, whenever they want. But Christmas is Christmas, and Eid is Eid. Are we going to start renaming religious holidays now too? 🤷

I mean, you could just say "Happy Holidays" and call it a day, right?

The dates for Eid shift around every year since it follows the lunar cycle, so it’s not like things stay fixed on the calendar like they do here, so it doesn't really work that way.

Plus, during this time of year, we've got Christian Christmas, Jewish Hanukkah, and African Kwanzaa all happening, so it isn't strictly just about Christmas.

Hanukkah seems to vary quite a bit too, from what I can tell. Honestly, if I spot a chocolate themed one, I might just end up wishing someone a happy Kwanzaa instead. 🤔

hiddenmarlin14 said:Oh, really? 🍿 I’ve officially decided I’m not letting anything get to me anymore 🙂 Like what, you guys aren't going to sing "Christ is Born" anymore, but instead it'll be "The Yule log is burning, the bread is baking" 🙂

I know there was all this talk just a year or two ago about changing the lyrics to the carols too... 🤦🙂

So why even stress out? If people stop celebrating Christmas in the European Union, then the problem solves itself 🤷 It’s just a pointless expense at this point ☕

And why on earth would anyone stop celebrating Christmas? 🤔

I honestly couldn't care less about Ursula; she needs to stop acting like she's anything more than a minor player on the global stage🙂

Wouldn't it be much easier for you to just pack up and move to a quiet place like Napa so you can celebrate in peace? 🤣

I'm not sure what you mean by "easier." The US can be incredibly traditional; even today, everything was shut down—not even a bakery was open this Sunday morning. If it's like this now, imagine how quiet it gets at Christmas.🙂

And for the record, I have zero connection to those small towns. Neither I nor my crew are from there.🤔

Why don't you head down to some rural outskirts if you want to act like a smart-ass?🙂

And for the record, I have nothing to do with Imotski; neither I nor anyone else is from there 🤔

Go take your jokes somewhere else... 🙂

I'm not the one joking, Ursula is...🤷 Man, Napi, you want to have your cake and eat it too, just like they say people from Niš do. You're going to have to make a choice soon ☕

Brian Howard2, it wasn't like Ursula volunteered to show up here; you're the one who posted the link. I don't usually bother reading the New York Times, so just take your business elsewhere. 🐔 And if you don't, you're going straight to my ignore list. 🙂

Well, we’re seeing the exact same thing happening right here in America ☕

And honestly, why is this even bothering you so much, Napa? ☕ If you're already living under the thumb of the European Union, you might as well just listen to the recommendations being handed down by Big Brother 🤷

Just ignore it 😂

Get out of here, Grinch! This is an optimistic thread. Let’s not turn this into a political debate over how we say our holiday greetings. Whether someone says "Merry Christmas" or goes with "Merry Christmas, may the peace of Christ be born," who cares? It doesn't matter. Let's just keep it positive!
Don't come at me with that trolling or try to turn this thread into a political debate.

I’ve got this constant, nagging phobia that someone is always hovering right behind me. It's unsettling.
