Oh, I wasn't actually talking about the actor's salary—I meant the massive amount they poured into marketing him as the next big threat, basically positioning him as the new Kang to rival someone like Thanos.

If those legal allegations against him end up being true, Disney will almost certainly have to cut ties and go find themselves a brand-new Kang.

There’s a chance Terrence Howard steps into the role of Kang. 🤣

To be perfectly honest, I’m holding out hope that Majors isn't the one at fault here. I was actually rooting for him.

I mean, that's basically an indie movie salary in today's Hollywood.

I recall there was some discussion regarding the massive pay gaps between the villains, specifically comparing what Majors makes versus the nearly $6 million that Josh Brolin pulled in for his role as Thanos.

How can you even make a comparison when Majors only had ten minutes of screen time in the series and maybe fifteen minutes in the movie? 🤔
Not to mention that Brolin already had an established reputation and a career long before Majors was even a thought in his parents' minds. 😬

Honestly, what a disaster—it felt like they missed the mark on basically everything. Compared to the first Ant-Man, which was an absolute masterpiece, this one is just straight-up junk...

It feels as though they might have just forced him into the role simply to introduce their new villain, Kang. And I suppose the actor essentially threw himself under the bus out of some sense of gratitude.

I actually thought the movie was great. (At least for superhero stuff).

Has anyone else noticed how those creatures look so incredibly unique? Even the whole "quantum nature" setup and Kang’s "city" feel like a total homage to Moebius’s art style.

Hands down the worst MCU movie yet. It’s a total mess; there’s zero setup—characters just fly into the Quantum Realm and suddenly it's "oh look, here's Kang, we have to stop him from leaving the Quantum Realm" blah blah blah. It feels like an eighth grader wrote the script.
The characters are a disaster too. Aside from Kang, everyone else acts like they stepped out of some bad Saturday morning cartoon. Kang is the only one who feels believable, and I actually liked the casting choice.
Even though Ant-Man has always been the funny guy, they completely butchered him here. The humor is terrible. There's zero chemistry between Scott and Cassie. The actress playing Cassie is pretty irritating, though that might be more about the shitty writing than her acting (you could probably make a drinking game out of how many times she yells "Dad" or "Daddy" in this thing). I liked the actress from Endgame better, and she was barely on screen for five seconds.

That teaser for the new ultimate villain is a joke. I remember how they teased Thanos bit by bit in the Avengers movies; that buildup was perfect.
We didn't even get a proper introduction to Thanos until Infinity War.
But here, they decide to introduce Kang as this massive, cosmic threat that everyone is terrified of, only for Ant-Man to beat him at the end with his ants. Give me a break, The Conqueror...
The post-credits scene did nothing to get me hyped for what's next. It's just as cringey and bad as 90% of the actual movie.

As much as I loved the new Guardians, I am incredibly disappointed by the new Ant-Man. 👎
