My boyfriend just left me. I honestly feel like I have zero luck when it comes to men; I finally found someone who was actually normal and closer to my own age, since I am completely exhausted by dealing with older guys. He promised me he would never leave, that he wanted a long-term future with me, and that I could always count on him because of his love. Now, I’ve spent the entire day weeping, just brokenhearted and sobbing from the bottom of my soul.

I honestly cannot wrap my head around how he could do this. How does one break things off so abruptly after spending all that time telling me he wanted us to build a life together and that he wanted me to be his wife?

He was my most beautiful dream and my greatest source of joy; even the birds seemed to sing in harmony with our love. He would stroke my hair and treat me like his entire world. But now? I simply cannot bear the thought of losing one more person. All I see behind me are endless precipices and the ruins of everything I ever built with love.

I have endured so much failure and such a relentless string of bad experiences; yet, with him, I finally felt secure and truly protected. How am I supposed to navigate what comes next without his gaze upon me? How does one continue to live without the sun? He was my light, and my only source of happiness.

I claim to live for love, yet all I leave in my wake are fallen empires and disastrous elections. I find myself wishing for COVID just so I can finally die. Nothing carries any weight anymore without him—without my sun. I honestly just want to get high, pass out on a park bench, and let someone violate and kill me.

It’s all the fault of those blood-red gardens and crimson tulips. A song by a poetess who took her own life. And if she doesn't call me today to tell me she loves me, I might just follow suit. I’ll be up in the clouds with my favorite poetess.

It seems like everyone here is suddenly an optimist. Between my partner's views and those of the Nordung crowd, I’ve had enough of this whole sharing culture. Honestly, I'm done with it; I prefer the simplicity of monogamy.

Dammit, I completely forgot how to embed a YouTube link. The birds are starting their morning racket, dawn is breaking, and frankly, I have absolutely no desire to face another day. Why does Zavier always seem to have such rotten luck when it comes to men? I finally felt a glimmer of happiness after years of misery, only to realize I'm just a collection of flesh destined to be nothing more than food for worms and scavengers. I suppose Daria was right when she said my own madness is my divine punishment.

If I lose one more person I care about—regardless of whether they are a man or a woman—I feel like my entire world will simply collapse. I have spent my whole life dedicated to helping others, yet some absolute jerk from out of nowhere keeps coming after me and making my life miserable. Is it too much to ask? Friends are the only true value left in this existence; they are the highest form of wealth. Everything truly precious in life is free, so go ahead and spend your money on whatever you want, but remember: you won't be able to buy a single second of life when it matters most.

Honestly, today has been an absolute disaster. My drying rack just tumbled right off my balcony—thank God nobody was underneath it when it fell. I’m honestly losing my mind... everything feels pretty bleak right now.
