Now we've landed right in the middle of a playground filled with nothing but the weirdest, most misfit kids you could ever imagine.

We’re making slow but steady progress in life, I guess.

Been stuck in total isolation since Saturday.

So, apparently one of my coworkers caught it from his wife just last week—she works at a local private daycare center. She’s been showing symptoms, but she only finally went to get tested today. Two of his closest buddies already had to head into self-isolation, but as of right now, the rest of us are still doing okay!

So, I finally stepped out from quarantine today! 🎉

So, I’m officially going on my second week of isolation. Honestly, nobody’s even bothered to call. I just went ahead and took some PTO before they could officially force me into quarantine. Technically, I’m supposed to be checking in with my doctor, but who actually cares? Once you finish up home treatment tomorrow, it’s not like anyone from the CDC or the local health department is going to reach out to you anyway.
The authorities have basically gone MIA.

The infection numbers are just getting out of hand.
And things have totally fallen apart here in my neck of the woods too.
We really need to beg people to just take some responsibility.
I was reading yesterday that they're looking to hire extra staff just for contact tracing because the current teams are completely overwhelmed—there are simply too many cases to track.
A relative and her husband both caught the virus; they're stuck at home right now, and let me tell you, they aren't feeling great. It's been a rough ride. They're both young, under 30.

My old man just finished battling some nasty flu stuff.
My brother’s been traveling up through the Pacific Northwest, but he’s doing alright—nothing too crazy there.
Now, I feel like I might be catching whatever his mess was. I’m feeling pretty wiped out, though I haven't really hit any specific symptoms yet. I can't seem to get anyone on the phone at my doctor's office to ask if I should even bother going in for a test.

The neighbor who passed this thing to my dad got hit pretty hard by it, but luckily he didn't end up needing an ER visit.

Honestly, part of me is almost rooting for it to hit me fast so I can just get the suspense over with, whatever happens.

A cousin of mine, who's 21, and his uncle, who’s 59, both caught COVID while they were over in Germany—they were actually in one of those early waves. For the younger guy, it was basically just a weird taste in his mouth, and the uncle had some minor congestion and a bit of a cough.
The uncle bounced back pretty quickly too.

Well, even if you stay healthy for about six months, you're basically back in the line of fire for getting sick again. It’s just like catching the flu—you can't stay immune forever.
